While OutDaughtered has highlighted Uncle Dale Mills’ relationship with the Busby Quints, his favorite is always Hazel Busby. Likewise, the show talks about Uncle Dale and Riley Busby jokingly having a beef with each other. But even with their history of harassing each other, the two are unstoppable when they team up. In the latest example, they have a photo op that shows off one hideous look from the dynamic duo.
Uncle Dale And Riley Busby Are Double Trouble
Although Uncle Dale Mills’ obvious favorite is Hazel Busby with their super special “Dazel” bond, Riley Busby is his partner in crime. In the Quints’ younger years, Riley was extra spicy and even slapped Uncle Dale in one episode. Likewise, she has called him a jerk as well. However, when Riley and Uncle Dale team up, they are double trouble in the making.

Recently, OutDaughtered star, Adam Busby, opened up about his thoughts on being taken for granted. In the Busby household, there are so many things going on at once that it is reasonable to believe he has a valid perspective on this topic.
Adam Busby Gives His Perspective
As a working dad of six daughters, it is easy to understand that Adam Busby might feel overlooked at times. Undeniably, many things have to happen without praise or recognition. Over time, he has developed ways of shifting how he thinks about these conditions. On OutDaughtered Dad, Adam’s Instagram page he shares a video about the subject of feeling like people take you for granted. Offering a new perspective on the generally negative connotation of the phrase, Adam challenges followers to change their mindset. Captioning: “Mindset is everything. Even being taken for granted should be seen as a good thing.” However, he...

Chicago – During Oscar week, all eyes turn to Unit Photographer Dale Robinette, who got the assignment on the Oscar nominated “Barbie.” The following on-set pictures were snapped during the production’s time in Los Angeles, which including the iconic cowpoke wardrobe of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
“Uncle Dale” Robinette first contacted me via email in 2013, to give information about some photos he took on the film “Lovelace.” Ever since then he has been a reliable email pal, sending me image after image from the movie sets that he is “blessed” (his word) to work on. He has plied his skills in Hollywood as a Unit Still Photographer since 1988, after a career as a stage and television actor in New York and Los Angeles. Starting with a TV short called “The Big Five” (1988), he has worked his way up the ladder, and has built an impressive photo resume through familiar films like “Donnie Darko,...

After failing to nominate any female directors last year — and on the heels of Jane Campion’s record-breaking win for her “The Power of the Dog” in 2022, which marked her as only the third woman to ever win the Oscar for Best Director, following Kathryn Bigelow (“The Hurt Locker”) and Chloé Zhao (“Nomadland”) — this year’s Oscar nominations have again returned to the land of just one female nominee.
That might not surprise anyone familiar with the org’s history of nominations in this particular category (read: slim), but this morning’s nomination pool did pack at least one surprise: “Barbie” filmmaker (and previous nominee in the category) Greta Gerwig failed to notch a nom, while “Anatomy of a Fall” filmmaker Justine Triet was nominated for the first time in the category.

Chicago – When we first met photographer Dale Robinette (click here) he had just taken one of the most iconic movie photos of the last ten years. Well, his work as “Unit Still Photographer” goes on, and he recently contacted HollywoodChicago.com to share one of his on-set photos from “The Front Runner,” which opened in Chicago last week.

“The Front Runner” features Hugh Jackman as Senator Gary Hart, a shoo-in presidential candidate (Democratic) as the 1988 campaign began. When whispers began that the Senator was having an extramarital affair, he challenged the press to “Follow me around, I don’t care…” That scenario played out as the Miami Herald sent reporters and a photographer to stake out Hart’s Washington D.C. town home, and they discovered Donna Rice (Sara Paxton) was there.

When I first heard about this movie, First Man, I said to myself, "Now, why would anyone want to watch another film about a cyclist accused of blood-doping?" then I realized that this was a different Armstrong (smiles). In fact, this film will be about the life and space mission of Neil Armstrong, who was the first man to walk on the moon -- unless you are a conspiracy theorist and believe it was all a hoax, but I am not one of these. First Man has been giving a release date of October 12, 2018, just in time for awards season, and will have some massive talent involved.

As far as La La Land locations go, the coffee shop that Emma Stone‘s Mia works in while she’s a still a struggling actress who has yet to achieve her dreams may be one of the more depressing. However, it’s now on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour. So, if for some reason you’d rather see that than visit Los Angeles landmarks like the Griffith Observatory or Angels Flight—both of which were also featured in the Oscar nominee—you can pop by a facsimile, which will be open through March 6.

Nothing is certain at the Oscars, and that absolutely applies to the best picture and best director categories. Emma Stone's favorite place for sushi in Los Angeles is a no-frills spot in a Sunset Boulevard strip mall, tucked alongside a laser hair-removal clinic and a FedEx store. It's here, having barely taken a seat, that she starts telling me about her hiatal hernia. "I can't have spicy foods," Stone says. The issue, it turns out, is that part of her stomach protrudes "into my esophagus," which sounds gnarly but is actually pretty manageable, increased chances of acid reflux notwithstanding. "I was born with it," Stone notes cheerfully.

La La Land is a force to be reckoned with this year — with a potential best picture win being the cherry on top — but just how well it will actually win at the Oscars remains to be seen. Most critics consider the Damien Chazelle-directed film to be leading the pack in numerous categories and, with it being a musical, two of those areas are the best original song and best original score. Is there a chance, according to history, that La La Land can sweep both honors?

There are more movies than could ever be counted about love and relationships, but when you narrow things down to very specific statements about what relationships are, and/or how they work, the field becomes very narrow.
La La Land is not only a very precise meditation on the struggles and woes of life and relationships, it’s also one of those extraordinarily rare movies that can pull you up from the depths and remind you just what movies can actually accomplish, and why you love them.
Coming to us by writer/director Damien Chazelle, who wowed critics with Whiplash as well, La La Land is a multi-faceted gem that is a musical, but almost accidentally, a love story, but not really, and a tribute to the magic of movies and dreams. It isn’t even just the story, or the slick dance routines that mix with the stars’ ability...

Ask most folks what the most iconic thing about Los Angeles is, and they'll say the Hollywood sign, Grauman's Chinese Theater, the Walk of Fame stars, maybe the Capitol Records building. Ask Damien Chazelle, the director behind the modern-day City of Angels romance La La Land (which opens in theaters on December 9th), and he will answer, without missing a beat: "Freeway gridlock. Draft Day opens in the month prior to the actual 2014 NFL draft. So, Hollywood gets an “A” for timing the release just right. Fans of the NFL are primed for just this sort of film since the pre-season games of August still feel so impossibly far away after a long, cold winter.
Regrettably, this is an uneven film that will only satisfy the hard-core NFL fan. Draft Day was directed by Ivan Reitman who is an undeniable talent as a director from 1980. Not today. It was written by Scott Rothman in his writing debut and by Rajiv Joseph who is credited with writing only three individual television episodes. Draft Day could have used a much deeper bench on the writing staff. Rookies make rookie mistakes.

A sign of a good sports film is if the audience enthusiastically cheers during a film like a crowd at a live sporting event. That’s exactly what happened when I went to see Ivan Reitman’s Draft Day. The theater was into every second as the film counted down the minutes to the big event. For football fans, the NFL draft signals the start of the new season as predictions and expectations are quickly assigned to each team after the new recruits are signed on. Depending on your love of the game, you may be able to look past some of the more predictable elements of the script and view Draft Day as an acceptable entry into the sports film genre.

If you like comedy and you don't know who Ivan Reitman is...well, you should. After all, this is the man who produced the classic "National Lampoon's Animal House" and directed (deep breath) "Meatballs," "Stripes," the immortal "Ghostbusters," "Twins," "Junior," "Dave"...the list goes on and on. His collaborations on those first few movies, with the likes of Bill Murray and the late Harold Ramis, should be taught in comedy film school somewhere.
Reitman, oddly, also produced the first two horror movies ever directed by David Cronenberg ("Shivers" and "Rabid") and has produced or directed a whole bunch of other films, but one thing he has not done is direct a sports movie -- until now. His new film, "Draft Day," stars Kevin Costner as the general manager of the Cleveland Browns and takes place on arguably the most important day of the football calendar.

Chicago – There is a real power when the right filmmaker connects with the right performers. What appears on the surface to be a slight and well-worn story, gains a decided psychological edge. ‘Labor Day’ features Kate Winslet and Josh Brolin, and writer/director Jason Reitman.
Rating: 4.0/5.0
The story – adapted from a novel by Joyce Maynard – is about a convict kidnapping a single mom and son after a prison break. In keeping them in place as he hides out, a relationship develops between the lonely matriarch and the escaped prisoner. This theme has been explored before, but Reitman takes it to another level of resolve. The underlying mood and tension involving the emerging adolescence of the captured boy, the break in the psychosis of the newly paired lovers and the overriding feeling that they might be caught at any moment creates a tension that raises the narrative stakes.

Chicago – It was one of the strangest star-is-born stories in show business history. One porn film – “Deep Throat” – permeates the American consciousness at precisely the right time. The “lead” actress in the film becomes a household name – and then becomes a victim of it – in ‘Lovelace.’
Rating: 4.0/5.0
The film is the story of Linda Boreman, Aka Linda Lovelace, during a crucial ten years of her existence. “Deep Throat” was released in 1972, and “Lovelace” chronicles the before and after effect of that film on Linda Boreman. This is brutal stuff, for the world of pornography isn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows. The new crowned Linda Lovelace is manipulated by her husband Chuck Traynor, and forced into a celebrity that involves an exaggerated skill set (as all pornography portrays), virtually no pay (despite the film making several hundred million dollars) and a husband willing to sell her into essential prostitution. Amanda Seyfried...

Showing earlier this year at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, I saw Lovelace in June 2012 and really hoped for a better film.
With a cast made up of Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody, Peter Sarsgaard, Bobby Cannavale, James Franco, Hank Azaria, Chris Noth and Sharon Stone, I expected a lot more from this dark story. Linda’s character didn’t come off as sympathetic as was intended… hopefully the filmmakers have improved on the final version.
Watch the new, international trailer below.
Linda Lovelace, the world’s first porn superstar as the personification of the extreme and conflicting attitudes about sex, sexuality and pornography in America, told from Linda’s perspective as she becomes, rejects then ultimately accepts and embraces the conflicting icons she embodies: the porn star and the anti-porn, feminist activist.
Lovelace will be in theaters, On Demand, and iTunes in August.

Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, The Help Barring a miracle, the 2012 Best Supporting Actress will go to Octavia Spencer in Tate Taylor's The Help. Spencer has won several critics' awards, was the SAG Award winner (and came up with an "inspirational" speech, that's always a major plus), and took home a Golden Globe as well. Now, if instead of Spencer's The Help co-star Viola Davis the Academy chooses The Iron Lady's Meryl Streep for Best Actress, some will surely accuse voters of being racist for throwing a supporting category bone at a black performer while bypassing the lead actress for the more important award. But that would be sheer nonsense. Spencer will win the Oscar because she has a showy role and awards-season momentum going for her. That's it. Albert Nobbs' Janet McTeer, The Help's Jessica Chastain, The Artist's Bérénice Bejo, and Bridesmaids' Melissa McCarthy don't stand a chance.

Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, The Help "To be an actor means everything to me," said American Horror Story Actor winner Jessica Lange at the 2012 SAG Awards ceremony, which was held this evening at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. For the most part, the SAG Awards were a replay of the Golden Globes: Lange, Best Supporting Actress Octavia Spencer for Tate Taylor's The Help, Best Supporting Actor Christopher Plummer for Mike Mills' Beginners, Kate Winslet as Best Actress in a Movie or Mini-Series for Todd Haynes' Mildred Pierce. But there were several differences as well. The most dramatic one was the announcement of The Help's Viola Davis, instead of The Iron Lady's Meryl Streep or My Week with Marilyn's Michelle Williams, as the Best Actress winner. Somewhat surprising was The Artist's Jean Dujardin winning the Actor for Best Actor, reprising an equivalent win...

Jessica Chastain, The Help 2012 Oscar Predictions – Best Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer, Albert Brooks, Kenneth Branagh, Nick Nolte, Viggo Mortensen The list of potential Best Supporting Actress Academy Award nominees is nearly as long as the list of female cast members in Tate Taylor's socially conscious comedy-drama The Help. In fact, several The Help actresses are either likely or possible Oscar contenders. Much like in the Best Supporting Actor category, in which only Christopher Plummer is a true shoo-in for his role in Mike Mills' Beginners, the only shoo-in in the Best Supporting Actress category is The Help's Octavia Spencer, winner of a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award and BAFTA nominee. Now, how could North American critics' fave Jessica Chastain not be a shoo-in? Well, Chastain is a near shoo-in. Though not a strong probability, it's certainly possible that she won't get enough first/second place votes...

The Help is one of those films that rolls out every so often with the idea of reaffirming a generalized point of view that no one can possibly deny having anyway... now, in any sufficiently large public forum. It's the 1960s, we're in Jackson, Mississippi, and there is some technical sense in which people of color are no longer slaves.
The film lays out the conflicting attitudes of white people, with the general result that - A) by and large, white people were really awful bastards, but B) some of them must have been fairly decent, because (among other things) black people didn't vote to give themselves the right to vote, or make sure they eventually actually got to use it when they had it.
Though a great many films have run along this basic road, to a variety of overall results, The Help is an effort that, while rich with complexities and emotion,...

Tate Taylor, producer Brunson Green, Emma Stone, The Help Tate Taylor's The Help topped the North American box office for the third straight weekend, grossing $14.2 million from Friday to Sunday (Sept 2-4), according to studio estimates found at Box Office Mojo. To date, The Help is the only 2011 release to have been at the top of the North American box-office chart for more than two weekends. So, move aside Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Transformers 3, Captain America: The First Avenger, Green Lantern, Rio, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Cars 2, Cowboys & Aliens, Super 8, Thor, Fast Five, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, X-Men: First Class, et al. [Note: Unlike what I claimed in a previous version of this article, Transformers 3 topped only two weekends earlier this summer; the Michael Bay actioner shows up three times on Box Office Mojo's top-of-the-weekend chart because the first time covers the regular three-day weekend; the second time covers the Fourth of July four-day weekend. Apart from The Help, no other movie has been at the top of the North American chart for three consecutive weekends since Christopher Nolan's Inception in summer 2010.] The Help was down a minuscule -2% compared to last weekend, which is quite remarkable. In fact, there's a good chance The Help will eventually pass the $150 million milestone at the Us/Canada box office.

For the third week in a row, a first for the year 2011, the same film has finished number one at the box office. The drama “The Help” finished in the top spot for the third week in a row in its fourth weekend in theaters. This is quite the accomplishment considering the film finished in second place in its opening weekend, the weekend the film produced the highest numbers.
The three-weekend run may be due to word-of-mouth sending audiences to see the film or the fact that heavy hitter movies haven’t been opening for several weeks, but either way, the $14.2 million was good enough for first place again. While the numbers are slowing for “The Help,” even with it finishing at number one, the film has now reached $118.6 million on a film that was made for $25 million.
