Steve Burton will officially be returning to General Hospital. The return of Burton, who famously played Jason Morgan from 1991 until 2021, was announced during General Hospital’s 60th Anniversary special on Jan. 4. His return to General Hospital isn’t the only big news the actor dropped this week. The famed soap star revealed he would leave Days of Our Lives just a day earlier.
Steve Burton will reprise his role in ‘General Hospital’
Steve Burton will leave Salem and return to Part Charles this year. Burton, who first appeared on General Hospital in 1991, will return to the soap opera for the first time since 2021. He is set to reprise his role as Jason Morgan, who was written out of the show with a tunnel collapse on Cassadine Island more than two years ago. Writers left the door open for Burton, and it looks like the presumed-dead Morgan will pop back up.

Uh-oh! Who's going off the roof?
The Colin story comes to a head on Days of Our Lives during the week of 5-22-23, but it won't end with the bad guys in jail.
It's hard to tell who's doing what, but from the spoiler video, it looks like Colin and Talia will both fall during an exciting confrontation on the rooftop. Most viewers don't care if Colin dies, but is that the best way to go?
Soap villains often end up dead at the end of a story, and most of the time, viewers don't feel the least bit sad about it.
That'll be true if Colin dies -- he was a loathsome, one-note character whose refusal to acknowledge reality, insistence on manipulating his girlfriend to do his dirty work, and unnecessary violence made fans pray that he'd leave their screens sooner rather than later.

Star Wars Celebration 2023 has so far been especially exciting for fans of the animated side of the universe. "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels" creator Dave Filoni was revealed to be directing a live-action "Star Wars" movie, set between the events of "Return of the Jedi" and "The Force Awakens." And while the film is still in early development, Filoni also brought a brand new trailer for his upcoming live-action series "Ahsoka," which will continue the storyline of "Star Wars Rebels."
When animated properties in the "Star Wars" universe make a jump into live-action, it tends to make big waves. Sometimes, though, those ripples into live-action can be a lot more subtle. When a show based on a character like Ahsoka Tano comes out, it's no surprise that we'll be seeing animated characters from her past adventures. Sabine Wren, Hera Syndulla, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and even Chopper...

This is not a drill, Bope fans.
Since Bo died of a brain tumor in 2015, fans have hoped he'd be among the magically resurrected. Beyond Salem 2 set the groundwork for Bo to return to Salem and reunite with his "Fancy Face."
And on Days of Our Lives during the week of 3-13-23, both halves of the legacy couple return to the canvas!
It won't be easy for Bo and Hope to get back together. That would be boring!
While there's no word yet on how long the legacy couple will be on Days of our Lives, we don't expect their story to be wrapped up as soon as it begins.

Gotham Knights might look like an Arkham game, but the new action-adventure title is actually a completely new Batman adventure that even features a new cast of characters and voice actors.
We’ll have a lot to say about Gotham Knights in the coming days, but the quality of the game’s cast really is one of the game’s greatest assets. This is a slightly deeper dive into the Batman roster than we’re used to seeing in games, which means that the game gives us the chance to spend some time with some faces we’re not always used to seeing. Of course, it’s the voices of those characters as much as their faces that really sell how much they belong to be the stars of an unlikely Gotham adventure.

Netflix confirmed earlier this week that the highly-anticipated third season You would touch down on its streaming service on October 15.
In the aftermath, Netflix dropped a bunch of photos that tease some of the coming events, as well as some of the new cast members.
We'll start with Joe and Love because one of the photos shows them seemingly having a new killing chamber.
If you watch You online, you know Joe was stunned by the revelation that Love was partial to killing some people who got on her wrong side.
And, just as Joe realized he wanted to kill her, she told him she was pregnant with their child.
So, they moved to Suburbia, but Joe wasted no time in finding a new object of his affection, which will undoubtedly cause some problems.

If there’s one thing more terrifying than Penn Badgley’s Joe in “You,” it’s the potential for a mini-Joe. And that’s exactly what he seems to be worried about in a new teaser for Season 3 of the Netflix hit.
“A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of a mini-me was purely exciting, and not without challenges,” Badgley’s creepy voice narrates. “Let’s just say I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do.”
Of course, fatherhood tends to put one’s priorities in order and for Joe, baby Henry — a name he’s meticulously chosen for very complicated reasons — may just put him on a better path. “For you, I can change,” he says. “I’ll be a man you look up to. A man you will be proud to call dad.

One of TV's most twisted love stories continues this October.
Netflix announced on Monday that You Season 3 will (finally!) receive its premiere on October 15.
"In Season 3, Joe and Love, now married and raising their baby, have moved to the balmy Northern California enclave of Madre Linda, where they’re surrounded by privileged tech entrepreneurs, judgmental mommy bloggers and Insta-famous biohackers," reads the official logline.
"Joe is committed to his new role as a husband and dad, but fears Love’s lethal impulsiveness."
"And then there’s his heart. Could the woman he’s been searching for all this time live right next door? Breaking out of a cage in a basement is one thing," it continues.Â
"But the prison of a picture-perfect marriage to a woman who’s wise to your tricks? Well, that’ll prove a much more complicated escape."

You Season 3 has found Joe's latest obsession.
Per Deadline, Michaela McManus has boarded the third season of the Netflix hit in the role of Natalie, Joe's married neighbor.
If you watch You online, you know Joe set Natalie as his next obsession at the close of You Season 2.
Natalie is professionally and socially successful (which seems to be the norm on this series!), but Joe knows there is more to her than meets the eye, and that explains his decision to pursue her.
Joe has always been intrigued by women who are not who they appear to be. Case in point: Love Quinn, who later emerged as a merciless killer, much like Joe.
But Joe is bonded with Love in that they both created a baby, and thus, have moved to a suburban neighborhood.
Saffron Burrows, who plays Love's mother, has been upped to a series regular ahead of the third season.

Netflix is undertaking some very ambitious projects in the future. Not only is it currently producing a live-action adaptation of Nickelodeon’s classic animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, but – over the course of just a few months – it’s also become evident that the streamer is planning to adapt the insanely popular Japanese anime One Piece into a live-action TV show, too.
For those of you who are not familiar with the source material, One Piece tells the story of Luffy, a dim-witted yet persistent boy who has but one dream in life: to become the strongest, most-feared pirate on the face of the earth. This is a quite the goal, too, because Luffy’s world knows hundreds of pirates, each of whom is endowed with special, supernatural powers.

Who were the best LGBTQ couples in daytime soap opera history? The sad truth is that there aren’t that many to choose from. Despite the shows dipping their toes in the water with queer characters and storylines in the 1990s — like Ryan Phillippe as groundbreaking gay teen Billy Douglas on “One Life to Live” from 1992 to 1993 — the show shied away from romance for its queer characters until the 21st century. With Emma and Sanditon making waves (seaside resort pun!), we're listing up the best screen adaptations of Jane Austen's work.
It is a truth universally acknowledged that every Jane Austen novel must be adapted an infinite amount of times and we will be grateful for all of them.
There have been a lot of adaptations of Jane Austen's six major novels and some of her other works, including the recently-released Emma starring Anya Taylor-Joy. These are the ones we recommend watching.
Best Pride and Prejudice Adaptations
Easily the most adapted of Jane Austen's works, Pride and Prejudice is a foundational work in the broader romantic comedy genre and in so much of our mainstream storytelling. People tend to have opinions about which of the P&p adaptations are the best. (Who is the best Elizabeth? Who is the best Darcy? Which is the most faithful? Does it matter?...

‘Star Wars Resistance’ Navigated a Few Missed Opportunities With “The New World” and “No Place Safe”
After fleeing the First Order untold times, the Colossus seems to have found a permanent home on an aqua planet low on the First Order radar—or so Captain Doza (Jason Hightower) assumes—and endowed with freshwater and food sources. Kaz (Christopher Sean) is naturally skeptical about a return to the old relative status quo. First, they […]

What could have been a cluttered mess ends up being an entertaining Star Wars Resistance episode that tells three stories in one.

Star Wars Resistance Season 2 Episode 16
At this point, the best one can ask for is for Star Wars Resistance to provide a straight-forward, entertaining, tense episode. We’re far too late for depth of characterization, thematic explorations, or expanding the Star Wars lore/mythology in novel or unique ways. So when an episode occurs that just has some one-dimensional but honest emotion, a bit of self-reliant tension, and an all-out, well-executed action sequence, I consider it a win.
“No Place Safe” is kind of an odd episode, as it posits itself as “final” episode in the first act, a kind of isolated, low-key space thriller in the second act, and then an all out aerial battle in the final one.

The day on the Colossus starts off idyllic in this episode of Star Wars Resistance. While no spoken attention is brought to it, the Colossus citizens seem to be enjoying a spurt of economic activity after the Aces’ racing stint in “The Voxx Vortex 5000.” Kaz (Christopher Sean) is blithely gambling against a pirate. And […]
