Trinity Creative Partnership have snapped up U.K. sales rights for historical war film “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run,” which is launching at AFM.
Set in 1763, “Love, Courage and the Battle for Bushy Run” is a historical drama set against the backdrop of one of the most defining moments in American history, the battle of Bushy Run. Dave Alan Johnson (“Christmas with Tucker”) and Larry A. McClean (“Pacific Rim”) direct from a screenplay by Charlie Richards (“House Rules”).
The battle unfolds during the Pontiac’s War in the aftermath of Britain’s 1763 triumph over France when a clash of cultures and strategies in the American Colonies took tensions to new heights.
“As Native tribes, driven by fear of British retaliation, unite under the leadership of Ottawa Chief Pontiac, the film explores the unconventional and brutal tactics employed in their quest to capture Fort Pitt,” reads the logline.

Raymond (Jackson Hurst) is a vampire. He's also a dad. He didn't mean to be a vampire, but was unexpectedly jumped by Victoria, Goddess of the Underworld (Sarah Palmer), who wanted to utilise his skills as a psychiatrist to comfort a host of unhappy monsters. Fortunately his wife Natasha (Emily O'Brien) and her brother Bob (Barak Hardley) have taken it well, but the situation makes it difficult for them to keep up appearances in their Sixties suburban home, and they're desperate not to let teenage daughter Susie (Grace Fulton) find out.

"There is something 'not right!'" Random Media has unveiled an official trailer for a wacky low-budget indie horror comedy titled Vampire Dad, marking the feature directorial debut of actress / filmmaker Frankie Ingrassia. This seems like one of those strange films lost in time, that somehow exists and is being released this year. Set in the early 60s, a family man-turned-vampire struggles with his beastly, bloody-thirsty nature while his devoted wife tries to keep anyone from finding out, including their teenage daughter. Starring Jackson Hurst as the "Vampire Dad", along with Emily O'Brien, Grace Fulton, Barak Hardley, Juli Cuccia, Barak Hardley, and Linda Nile. Not sure what to make of it. Fun? Cringe-worthy? Have a look. Here's the first official trailer (+ two posters) for Frankie Ingrassia's Vampire Dad, direct from YouTube: When psychologist Dr. Raymond Walenski (Jackson Hurst) is turned into a vampire, to act as therapist to the creatures of the underworld,...

The doctor is in, and he's working from home. Good news: it's not because of the pandemic that is currently sweeping the globe! In the upcoming retro-styled horror-comedy Vampire Dad, psychologist Dr. Raymond Walenski is turned into a vampire (and starts working from home) "in order to provide therapy to creatures of the underworld. He battles his new beastly nature while struggling to keep his family life from being torn apart." Ha! Chew on that for a moment. Emily O'Brien (The Young and the Restless) and Grace Fulton (Annabelle: Creation) also star. Frankie Ingrassia makes her feature directorial debut. She's been directing short films and episodic television. She's also an actress, mostly known for her supporting...

[Editor’s Note: The following contains spoilers from the finale of HBO’s “Sharp Objects” in addition to the book on which it is based.]
“Sharp Objects” ended with a satisfyingly sick twist that paid off the depth of derangement that had been pulsing beneath the skin of Wind Gap through the whole miniseries. The Crellin family boasted two killers: Adora (Patricia Clarkson), who had Munchausen by Proxy’d her daughter Marian to death; and youngest daughter Amma (Eliza Scanlen), who was responsible for killing two of her peers out of jealousy.
For the most part, HBO’s adaptation was very faithful to Gillian Flynn’s novel, especially considering that she was one of the writers on the series. And yes, that meant that Adora and Amma were still a murderous mother and daughter in the book as well.
A few cosmetic differences were necessary or made more sense, such as adding in cell phones to make it feel more contemporary...

If Jane (Brooke Elliott) and Grayson (Jackson Hurst) finally making it to her bedroom in the April 27 episode wasn’t enough reason for Drop Dead Diva fans to be happy, we have another: Fred (Mad Men’s Ben Feldman), Jane’s original guardian angel, will make a return in the final season. He’ll appear in an episode airing in June. Enjoy your first look (and pray no one touches any buttons).

Margaret Cho doesn’t get too many chances to sing on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva… but this Sunday she gets to cut loose.
The episode finds Cho’s Teri in jail. (In case you missed it, she impersonated a lawyer a few episodes back, which is a tad illegal.) She makes the best of a bad situation by strumming her guitar and bringing the power of song to her fellow cellmates. Also, she accepts “cigarettes and chocolate in lieu of applause”.
In the exclusive clip sent over by Lifetime, Teri gets a visit from Jane (Brooke Elliott) but Teri is more concerned about her upcoming jail number from a beloved Broadway musical.
Also in the episode, Jane let’s that the “L” word slip after spending the night with Grayson (Jackson Hurst) and Kim (Kate Levering) enlists Stacy (April Bowlby) to take care of her baby.

Drop Dead Diva is nowhere near death.
Lifetime announced this afternoon that the Josh Berman-created series, which airs its season five finale on November 3rd, will be back for a sixth season of 13 episodes.
It was just last year that the series was cancelled but that decision was later reversed and the fifth season has been performing well for the network, even being used to help launch freshman series, The Witches Of East End.
According to today's press release regarding the fifth season finale, a 'surprise visitor' from the past will jeopardize the future of Jane (Brooke Elliott, above) and Grayson (Jackson Hurst).

The ‘Glee Project’ finalist takes on a ‘risqué’ new role on the Lifetime dramedy’s Oct. 20 episode.
Lindsay Pearce‘s star has been on the rise ever since she wowed America on the first season of Oxygen’s The Glee Project, and this Sunday, she’ll finally experience the dark side of fame – or at least her character will. Lindsay plays a teen star “whose reputation is put at risk after a risqué photo is taken of her,” a celebrity trap HollywoodLife.com is all too familiar with. Maybe that’s why we nabbed the exclusive first look at Lindsay in action.

On Sunday, Drop Dead Diva returns for the remaining five episodes of its fifth season (9 p.m. Et on Lifetime). It’s an episode fans have probably been curious about since creator Josh Berman first teased it: Grayson (Jackson Hurst) is asked to represent a young man who was kicked off an airplane after he refused to open his window because, he claims, he’s a vampire and the sunlight will burn his skin.
“We wanted to find a Diva way in to a bullying story that would not seem like your typical bullying story,” Berman told EW before the season began.

A simple twist of fate changed the lives of Deb Dobkins (Brooke D’Orsay) and Jane Bingham (Brooke Elliott) forever. Deb died and, after mistakenly pushing the wrong button at Heaven’s door, returned in the body of Jane. This meant one thing: Deb as Jane needed a guardian angel. For the first couple of seasons of Drop Dead Diva, Jane was under the watchful eye of her guardian angels Fred (Ben Feldman), then Luke (Carter MacIntyre). But Jane proved to be a bit more of a handful than either anticipated. Now trying his luck in protecting Jane is the latest angel on watch, the enthusiastic Paul (Justin Deeley). In a recent exclusive interview, star Justin Deeley talked about his new role as Paul, guardian angel and newest employee at the firm of Kaswell & French.

A surprising thing happened on Drop Dead Diva, a new hero emerged last season that we were not expecting. When Jane Bingham (Brooke Elliott) tried to flee from the image of her best friend and her ex-fiancé kissing by accepting a spontaneous trip to Italy with Judge Owen French (Lex Medlin), we did not expect to fall just as in love with him as Jane did. Yet Owen not only stole Jane’s heart, he stole ours. So when the fourth season ended with yet another heart-breaking kiss, but this time between Jane and Grayson (Jackson Hurst), which was witnessed by Owen on his and Jane’s wedding day, we felt Owen’s pain and betrayal keenly. So we held our breath and waited to see if Owen would awaken from his heart attack as the man we all knew and loved, or if he would awaken with the soul of Old Jane.

In the Season 4 finale of Lifetime's dramedy "Drop Dead Diva" -- which was the series finale, until Lifetime changed its mind and renewed the show -- lawyer Jane (Brooke Elliott), whose body houses the soul of dead model Deb, shared an illicit kiss with law-firm co-worker Grayson (Jackson Hurst), Deb's old love, on the very day she was to marry judge Owen (Lex Medlin).
Owen then disappeared, and fans -- and Jane -- were left to wonder if the soul of "Old Jane," the original inhabitant of her body, had come down from the Great Beyond and taken up residence in Owen.
When Season 5 begins on Sunday, June 23, all may or may not be revealed.

Back from the dead, Lifetime’s dramedy series Drop Dead Diva returns for its fifth season with more outrageous comedy and heart-tugging drama. As the fourth season ended last year, fans were transfixed as Grayson (Jackson Hurst) declared his love to Jane (Brooke Elliott) — possessed by his one true love Deb — as Jane’s fiancé Owen (Lex Medlin) fell dead, only to awaken possessed with the spirit of old Jane.
So when Lifetime then announced the series would not be returning for a fifth season, fans quickly rallied and, along with the undying fervent support of show creator and executive produce Josh Berman, the campaign to bring the show back began. Months later, their persistence and passion were rewarded when Lifetime announced it had ordered a fifth season, effectively reviving the series and bringing it back from the brink of death (cancellation).

With a second lease on life after its cancellation was reversed, Drop Dead Diva is back tonight for a fifth season and there are changes afoot, both in the cast and where we find our returning characters.
During a recent visit to the show’s set in Atlanta, I grabbed some time with the cast to get the scoop on what we’ll see this season and how it feels to still be on the air.
Brooke Elliott: We pick up with Jane in a frazzled state and for good reason. “Jane is incredibly frightened that Owen is dead or missing,” Elliott said since Owen had a heart attack after seeing Jane kiss Grayson. But that’s not all since a certain soul decided to return at the end of last season. “[Jane] also doesn’t know if Old Jane’s soul is in Owen’s body…if she’s not in Owen’s body,...
