Kato Kaelin recently spoke about appearing on the second season of Celebrity Big Brother USA.
CBB2 aired during the winter of 2019, with CBS seeking to duplicate the first season’s success in the winter of 2018.
Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves returned for the shortened celebrity version of the show – with $250,000 going to the winner.
Twelve houseguests appeared in CBB2, including Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, Blossom actor Joey Lawrence, and WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie.
Singer and reality TV star Tamar Braxton was voted the winner of former NFL running back Ricky Williams. They beat out Olympic runner Lolo Jones and Dina Lohan (Lindsay Lohan’s mom) to make the final vote.
Kato finished in eighth place – evicted on Day 20 of the game. It meant he spent roughly three weeks living in the Big Brother house that winter.

How well does TV personality, actor, and designer Carson Kressley know music, specifically divas? That’s what he finds out in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of Name That Tune, which returns to Fox on September 19. The maximum number of notes they can bid is 10, and Jones starts, claiming she’ll be able to name the song in nine. “Oh god, I have to do math and guess a song?” Kressley asks. “Lolo, I think I can name that tune in one note. I feel good about this one.” She tells him to do just that, but for $5000, can he? Watch the full clip above. Name That Tune tests celebrities...

Lolo Jones has held many titles in her life, and is now ready to add mom to that list. The Olympian, who has been documenting her fertility journey on social media, got candid in a recent interview about her decision to freeze her eggs after searching for a partner to start a family with. "Being a good mom is very difficult, especially in today's society," Jones told Good Morning America. "Do I have the capabilities and skill set to care for someone? "I'd like the chance." The process of egg retrieval is no small fete—which Jones is exceedingly aware of. "I have been crashing a bobsled at 90 miles an hour," she noted. "I've had hamstring injuries, spine...

On Wednesday night, America’s most iconic front door will open once again, welcoming 11 people you’ve heard of before as the newest houseguests of “Celebrity Big Brother.” Series host Julie Chen Moonves will usher in athletes Lamar Odom, Miesha Tate and Mirai Nagasu, reality TV vets Cynthia Bailey, Shanna Moakler and Teddi Mellencamp, and TV and music performers Carson Kressley, Chris Kirkpatrick, Todrick Hall, Todd Bridges and Chris Kattan as they begin the craziest four weeks of their careers.
While the celebrity version of the 20+ year old show is shorter than normal, it will be no less intense. These celebs will have to hit the ground running, strategizing and playing as if every day is a live double eviction episode. And, hopefully, they’ve prepared by looking back at their peers that had success in the show’s first two seasons. Previously on “Celebrity Big Brother” … four years ago...

“Celebrity Big Brother” returns Wednesday with its third season after being Mia the past two years, and while a lot of things have changed since 2019, one thing has remained the same: the show’s commitment to casting five “Dancing with the Stars” alums every season.
That’s right, for the third consecutive season, there is one whole hand’s worth of former celebrity hoofers-turned-celebrity houseguests. In “Celebrity Big Brother’s” inaugural installment in 2018, we got Shannon Elizabeth (Season 6), Chuck Liddell (Season 9), James Maslow (Season 18), Metta World Peace (Season 13) and Marissa Jaret Winokur (Season 6), who won. CBS is doubling down on Big Brother.
The network announced today during its TCA summer press tour day that Big Brother: Celebrity Edition will return on the network for a third season in winter 2022, with an all-new group of celebrities living together in the Big Brother house.
The series previously aired in winter 2018 and 2019 and included television personalities Kandi Burruss, Omarosa Manigault Newman, and Ross Matthews, Olympians Lolo Jones and Ryan Lochte, and actors Shannon Elizabeth and Joey Lawrence.
The successful series has also included comedian Tom Green and former White House director of communications Anthony Scaramucci.
Actress Marissa Jaret Winokur and singer Tamar Braxton won season one and two, respectively.
While the series has been off the air for several years, it was never officially canceled, and it seemed more like the network would make a decision to bring it back when there was an opening.

NBCU execs are wrestling with what could be their biggest sports challenge yet: the Quiet Olympics.
Broadcasting and streaming the Tokyo Summer Games already had a high degree of difficulty due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. Then Japan declared a state of emergency late last week, and banned live crowds, adding all kinds of new hurdles to the massive production slated to kick off July 23. Will the events seem as powerful and captivating without the roar of the crowd? Can sportscasters communicate the spirit and substance of the games without the hoopla fans have come to expect?
NBC’s top sports exec insists they can.
“We’re confident that the viewer at home won’t notice a difference,” says Pete Bevacqua, chairman of NBC Sports, in emailed responses to queries. “In order to compensate for no international spectators, our production team has worked for months on an elaborate...

Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg are teaming up with Peacock to tackle a new endeavor: recapping the Olympics.
Pairing Hart and Snoop as the comedy guides through the Tokyo Olympics 2021, the commentary series “Olympic Highlights With Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg” will be exclusively available on NBC’s streaming service. The pair will set out to summarize the Olympics’ most impressive displays of athleticism, as well as the moments that don’t go as planned.
NBCUniversal has remained confident with its plans to broadcast up to 7,000 hours of Tokyo Olympics events. “Olympic Highlights” only reinforces the notion that Peacock will be a critical asset of their strategy.
In addition to Hart and Snoop, late-night host Amber Ruffin will offer her commentary for the streaming service from the ground in Tokyo. Cari Champion and Kenny Mayne, two veteran broadcasters who recently left ESPN, will co-anchor “Tokyo Tonight,” a quick-turnaround highlights and interviews program.

NBCUniversal gave its strongest indication yet that it would move forward with plans to broadcast 7,000 hours of Tokyo Olympics events even as worries continue over the potential health of attendees and athletes as Japan continues to grapple with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Jeff Shell, NBCU’s CEO, along with other executives present Wednesday at an event designed to preview the company’s plans, suggested a global audience was eager to emerge from an era of forced isolation and enjoy a shared experience and see the event, which has already been postponed by a year. These Games “could be the most meaningful Olympics of our lifetime,” suggested Molly Solomon, the executive producer of NBCU’s Olympics broadcast.
The Olympics are a critical piece of the economic underpinnings of NBCU and its corporate parent, Comcast. The companies paid $4.4 billion for a rights deal that allows NBCU to cover the Olympics in the U.

Welcome to Iceland, where the temperature is below freezing, and a large group of challengers unites in Covid-19 times to win their share of $1 million.
The Challenge Season 36 Episode 1 introduced new rookies, returning favorites, and game-changing twists. The result was a wildly satisfying installment of this beloved franchise.
Instead of sticking with the same rules as The Challenge Season 35, the "Double Agents" twist appears to be an attempt at reinventing the wheel.
It was upsetting that Johnny Bananas and Jenny West decided against returning, but coming off their recent wins made sense.
Going from a winner to a loser would sting, especially in the same year.
The casting team really pulled it out of the bag with Double Agents, bringing a new wave of rookies who very well could be winning material.
Let's dig into all the happenings because this was an explosive episode in the best way possible.

Lolo Jones certainly knows how to make lemonade out of lemons.
The former Olympian was deep into training for the 2020 Olympics, “in one of my best physical shapes,” she tells Variety, when the Covid-19 pandemic hit and those games got postponed. Rather than fall behind in her regimen, she pivoted to focus on training to be a part of the United States’ bobsled team at the 2022 Winter Olympics. But, as the pandemic raged on, that training season got shut down, too. With “all this built up energy,” Jones pivoted again and joined the cast of MTV’s “The Challenge: Double Agents.”
“Imagine training for something for four years and then it’s completely shut down, and you’re sitting on your couch. I just wanted to compete, and they had set up the safe parameters to film, and so I thought it would be a good way to release all of that energy,...

In another universe, this summer’s sports-centric programming looks quite a bit different than it does in our current (and very strange) reality, from major league sports like baseball and basketball not existing in a literal bubble to the only-every-four-years spectacle of the Olympics unspooling in Japan. In fact, the latest edition of the Summer Olympics would have kicked off this very week, with the world’s best athletes gathering in and around Tokyo for two weeks of competition. Brett Rapkin’s “The Weight of Gold,” which assembles a sterling array of Olympic athletes to talk candidly about their struggles with mental health, starts with a necessary nod to what would have been another entry in classic Olympic mania.
It even suggests an important question: perhaps they’re better without it? It’s an idea worth pondering, especially as Rapkin’s documentary steadily builds over the course of just one hour to show,...

The aim of “The Weight of Gold” is both simple and noble: to remind everyone who’s ever tuned in to the Olympics that the competing athletes are, despite their seemingly unattainable strength, human beings. Narrated by Olympic legend and executive producer Michael Phelps, the HBO Sports documentary details the extraordinary drive and dedication it takes for someone to get to the Olympics, the “overwhelming” reality of being there, and most keenly of all, the suddenly steep climb to stability that awaits them once they’re home. It enlists Olympians like Phelps, snowboarder Shaun White, speed-skater Apolo Anton Ohno and figure skaters Sasha Cohen and Gracie Gold to detail their lives in and out of the Games with unprecedented candor. In openly discussing the unique pressure and deflation that defines an Olympian’s life arc, each testimony helps humanize an experience that, to many sitting at home, feels more like...

Behind every Olympic win is an unforgettable journey filled with highs and lows. With six medals under his belt, Team USA's Bode Miller may look like the ultimate success story on paper. But according to the alpine ski racer, being an Olympic medalist isn't all celebratory. Bode, along with several other world-famous competitors including Michael Phelps, Lolo Jones, Shaun White, Gracie Gold and Apolo Ohno, agreed to participate in The Weight of Gold, HBO Sports' new documentary that explores the mental health challenges that some Olympic athletes face. According to Bode, it was important to speak up in hopes of bringing change to future athletes of all...

"It's gold... And then what?" HBO has released a trailer for The Weight of Gold, a film by award-winning sports history filmmaker Brett Rapkin. The revealing and powerful documentary explores the mental health challenges that Olympic athletes often face in deeply personal detail. The film debuts later this month at the same time as the 2020 Summer Games with 11,000 world class athletes in attendance were slated to be competing in Tokyo, Japan. It features accounts from Olympic athletes who share their own struggles with mental health issues, including Michael Phelps, Jeremy Bloom, Lolo Jones, Gracie Gold, Bode Miller, Shaun White, and many others. HBO has been releasing an impressive slate of compelling, honest, eye-opening doc films these last few years about so many different topics. This one looks like an excellent double feature with the doc In Search of Greatness, also about the passion of athletes and the never-ending push to be the best.

Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian of all time, but what’s left to accomplish after you’ve proved you’re the best in the world? In the new documentary “The Weight of Gold,” Phelps takes a long look at life after the Olympics and how he was not alone in experiencing depression after winning it all.
“The Weight of Gold” is an HBO Sports documentary executive produced by Phelps and features interviews with Olympians who discuss going their entire lives without normal childhoods, without outside skills or interests beyond their sport, without any plans after the Olympics and whose entire lives have been defined by a rapid, 40-second race.
“We’re just so lost. A good 80 percent, maybe more, develop a post-Olympic depression,” Phelps says in the documentary trailer. “I thought of myself as just a swimmer, and not a human being, and that’s where I thought,...

You guys remember Lolo, right? She finished in the final four of this past season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother. Some of you might also remember how defensive and uptight she is. Now, we've got this new report from the folks over at TMZ that reveals Lolo is still going off on her fellow Olympic teammate and fellow Celebrity Big Brother season 2 castmate Ryan Lochte. So if you were giving Lolo Jones the benefit of the doubt and thought her anger over being evicted in third place by Ricky Williams on Wednesday’s “Celebrity Big Brother” finale would subside after she slept on it, well, you are dead wrong. Reunited with her phone, Lolo doubled down on her Ricky hate in the comments of one of her Instagram posts on Thursday.
“I was loyal to Ricky … and Nat [Eva Marie] the entire game. I saved Ricky multiple times from being back doored,” she wrote. “In the end he was not loyal to me, who was beyond loyal to him. He’s a false prophet. He spews wisdom and contradicts his own advice. Example: the whole season he said no deals … then he gets mad I didn’t take his one sided deal bc I wanted to honor everyone in the final. I’ve lose a lot in my Career.

Tamar Braxton became the second winner of “Celebrity Big Brother” on Wednesday, beating Ricky Williams with a 9-0 sweep. And not to oversell it, but her win was a pretty big deal. Here are four ways Tay-Tay made herstory with her victory.
1. She is the franchise’s first black winner
Yup. Not female black winner, but first black winner. This is counting 20 seasons of regular “Big Brother,” one season of “Big Brother: Over the Top” and two seasons of “Celebrity Big Brother.” We were guaranteed the first black winner between Tamar and Ricky, but the odds favored this duck being broken as we got to the business end of the season. Dina Lohan was the only white woman of the final five that also included Kandi Burruss and Lolo Jones, whose father is African-American and mother is Caucasian. It feels like only three weeks ago that Big Brother was kicking off its sophomore celebrity season — because, well, it was.
Season 2 of the CBS reality show wrapped its blink-and-you’ll-miss-it run on Wednesday night, with only five houseguests left to compete for the title: Dina Lohan, Kandi Burruss, Lolo Jones, Ricky Williams and Tamar Braxton. But before the nine-person jury could crown a winner, there was still plenty of game left to be played during Wednesday’s two-hour finale, including three more evictions.

Not only will the “Celebrity Big Brother” winner be crowned live on Wednesday’s two-hour finale, but America’s Favorite Player will be as well. Voting for Afp has closed, but if our readers had their druthers, they’d give the $25,000 to Tom Green.
Tom received 30 percent of the vote in a recent poll, and it wasn’t even close. But he likely will be one of the top three vote-getters for real. He lasted until the double eviction, was a comp beast, had a bromance with Kato Kaelin, and provided ample content for live feeders in the dead of the night while everyone else in the house was snoozing. It would also be a nice consolation prize for him if any fans feel he should’ve won the actual game.
