British TV presenter Gregg Wallace usually enjoys calm Saturdays, we are told, but he has had a less serene week, trading brickbats with the UK press, in a debacle that has highlighted the perils of the apparent “tell-all” celebrity magazine feature.
This began seven days ago, when Wallace – a familiar face on TV screens as the longtime presenter of Masterchef and a catalog of other food-related shows – was featured in The Telegraph’s regular ‘My Saturday’ slot, detailing his usual routine on the first day of each weekend.
The backlash was swift, with journalists picking up on Wallace’s various revelations, after he gave details of his home life including the time he spent with his son (commenters said not enough), time on his computer game and the fact that he hadn’t wanted his youngest child, so he cut a deal whereby the pair went on holiday alone once a year.

The 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony is being held this weekend and we’re predicting the winners in all of the major categories!
Sza leads the pack this year with nine nominations.
In general, women are totally crushing it: Sza, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Miley Cyrus all dominated the biggest categories. Jon Batiste is actually the only man in the Record of the Year and Album of the Year categories.
Taylor has a chance at setting a record for most Album of the Year wins if she picks up the award for Midnights. She currently is tied for the most wins in the category with three previous wins!
Make sure to tune in on Sunday for the Grammys, hosted by Trevor Noah for the fourth time. The show is airing on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ starting at 8pm Et. Check out the full list of nominations.

The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 4, during two ceremonies: the afternoon Premiere Ceremony where most of the awards will be handed out, and the prime time telecast on CBS and Paramount+ hosted for the fourth year in a row by Trevor Noah. But who will win? Scroll down for our official odds in 37 categories, which are based on the combined predictions of Gold Derby users who have placed their bets here in our predictions center. Our projected winners are highlighted in gold.
Sza enters these awards with the most nominations (nine), followed by R&b breakout Victoria Monet, alternative singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers and engineer/mixer Serban Ghenea with seven apiece. This year’s awards also marked a number of changes and updates. The Recording Academy consolidated its categories into just 11 fields in order to give voters more flexibility as to which categories they participate in.

The exciting new category of Best Pop Dance Recording at the Grammys will crown its inaugural winner soon, and it’s looking like a tight race. Right now I’m inclined to believe it’ll be Troye Sivan‘s “Rush” to take the award home.
Sign UPfor Gold Derby’s free newsletter with latest predictions
“Rush” seems to be the perfect balance of success and acclaim, unlike the other nominees. For example, many predict Kylie Minogue’s “Padam Padam” will win, especially considering the acclaim it’s gotten. But it might be at a disadvantage because the song did not chart on the Billboard Hot 100, unlike a couple of the other nominees, and has only recently crossed 100 million streams.
Inversely, there’s David Guetta, Anne-Marie, and Coi Leray’s “Baby Don’t Hurt Me,” which was pretty big, racking up 369 million streams and peaking in the top 20 on the pop airplay chart.

Coi Leray has dropped a new single, “Wanna Come Thru.” The sultry track, produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, marks her first release for new label Island Records.
“This song is about me on my grown and sexy,” Leray explained in a statement. “Grown and sexy means being so in love with yourself — that it is one of the most sexiest, maturest, grownest things that a woman can do. As you get older and you tap into your womanhood and your femininity and I feel like you should embrace that.

Lainey Wilson was the first winner at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards. The Louisiana native, who just headlined Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, in support of her album Bell Bottom Country, was named Female Artist of the Year.
Dan + Shay were named Group/Duo of 2023. “I didn’t know if we’d stand on stage again, let alone winning an award together,” Shay Mooney said, upon accepting with Dan Smyers. “We were those kids that grew up listening to Toby Keith and Wynonna and Little Big Town.

There’s an eight-minute window, just after 9 a.m. Et every weekday morning, when Vladimir Duthiers goes Awol on live TV. Viewers might think he’s just off camera at the CBS News Streaming Network anchor desk that he shares with Anne-Marie Green, but the 53-year-old newsman is frantically covering over a mile of midtown Manhattan that separates his company’s two studios.
“I start the day on CBS Mornings in Times Square, do the top of the streaming show remote from there, toss to Anne-Marie and make my way up here during her first interview,” he explains in his 57th Street office during a mid-September meeting after one such sprint. “I run out of the car, throw all my shit in the closet, race onto set, and by 9:15 I’m at the desk.”

One of my most anticipated races this Grammy season is for the newly added Best Pop Dance Recording award. The category is meant to honor pop songs with strong dance and electronic elements, and was likely established to avoid the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category becoming a pure popularity contest. When big stars like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, or Justin Timberlake were nominated there against true electronic musicians, it often favored the pop acts. So with this new category, the Recording Academy can give a fair shake to both and nominate even more great material. But who exactly will be the contenders?
Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night” could arise as the potential front-runner. She’s a previous winner with both dance/electronic voters and pop voters, and the song will likely be the biggest hit eligible in the category. Of course, sales alone can’t win you a Grammy, but...
