“I’m so glad I did it. I kick myself sometimes, thinking that I nearly turned it down. That would have been one of the biggest regrets of my life, because every day is funny. Every day.”
We’re in Ricky Gervais’ dressing room on the set of the new Muppets film. He’s currently explaining how he almost missed the opportunity to star in the movie due to scheduling conflicts. And he’s doing so while dressed as a lemur.
“I’ve loved the Muppets for about thirty-five years. I used to watch them every Sunday.” Gervais reveals, “I’ve got older brothers and sisters, and even when I was young, I saw them laughing at what I thought was a kid’s show. And I thought, ‘there’s something else about this kid’s show’.”
Gervais isn’t alone in his love of the Muppets. There’s something about Kermit and Co.

James looks back at Tng's first real time travel episode...
This review contains spoilers.
2.13 Time Squared
The episode begins with Riker serving a meal for some of his fellow senior officers, when suddenly Picard summons them to the bridge. They've found a shuttlecraft floating in space. A Federation shuttlecraft!
With no mothership to be found, they take the shuttlecraft on board and slowly (rather too slowly) come to the realisation that it's one of the Enterprise's own – only their version is still in shuttlebay already! Things get even more confusing when they open the craft to discover an unconscious and barely-alive duplicate of Captain Picard!
The other Picard is taken to sickbay while Data and Geordi try to figure out where the shuttle came from. Although the usual power doesn't seem to work, they discover that by inverting the power they can reactivate the computers.

The nominees for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards have been unveiled this week, and as always, they are kind of hilarious if not downright random. But when you stop and think about it, are they any more ridiculous or arbitrary than the Oscars? Last year's MTV Movie Awards did at least acknowledge a few of the more "critically acclaimed" films of the year including The Social Network and Black Swan, but this year it's basically all teen entertainment, all the time. Ironically, this year they claim the nominees were selected by a panel of industry folks instead of the general public... go figure. Among the more creative categories this year they have introduced "Best On-Screen Dirtbag" and "Best Gut-Wrenching Performance" (whatever that means). The good news is that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 may actually have a shot at winning some awards this time, and hey, Ryan Gosling...

[1] Michael K. Williams may have missed out on the lead role of Django Unchained, but it seems there may still be room for him to appear in a different capacity. In an interview with Shadow & Act [2] (via The Playlist [3]), the The Wire actor confirmed that he had just barely lost the lead role to Jamie Foxx, but that director Quentin Tarantino (or "Qt, as I call him") liked Williams enough to consider creating a new role just for him. "It's not official yet but there's a lot of talk that there may be a role coming back 'round my way,'" he told the site. "His people and my people have been in discussions in regards to a role that he is creating for me." The Playlist points out that the only major black role still uncast is that of Bartholemew, but that the hulking, silent bodyguard probably wouldn't be an ideal fit for Williams.

Michael Nyqvist, star of the Swedish film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and its sequels, will play a villain in Mission: Impossible 4 opposite Tom Cruise and Jeremy Renner.
Paula Patton, Vladimir Mashkov, Ving Rhames, and Simon Pegg are also members of the cast.
Details on the extent of Nyqvist’s involvement are scarce as Paramount Pictures keeps the sequel secret, but THR confirmed he has been cast.
