While the streamer’s own original content is somewhat limited – Life + Beth is returning for season 2 – you can also catch the new series of Feud this month. The new installment in Ryan Murphy’s juicy anthology show is based on the bestseller Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era by Laurence Leamer, and tells the story of Truman Capote’s betrayal and fall-out with New York’s most glamorous socialites. The cast is absolutely stacked, with Naomi Watts, Diane Lane, Chloë Sevigny and Calista Flockhart all swearing delicious revenge on Tom Hollander’s Capote.

There’s a world in which the film adaptation of Casey McQuiston’s novel Red, White & Royal Blue captures the horny energy and political idealism of its source material. It would be a campy romp that leans into the book’s bubble-gum logic without losing sight of what made the novel an immediate bestseller.
The version of Red, White & Royal Blue that we have, directed by Tony-award winning playwright Matthew López (The Inheritance) and premiering on Amazon Prime, lands like a fever dream. It’s a tangle of odd tones, roving direction and eccentric performances — a frenetic combo that makes it hard to buy the drama of this fantasy.
It shouldn’t be so tough. The story — the son of the U.S. president falls in love with a British prince — is charming in its improbability. Red, White & Royal Blue takes place in an alternate timeline, when...

It feels just like last month we were complimenting Hulu on its true crime offerings. Well, with its list of new releases for February 2023, Hulu is staying in the true crime lane. Suppose that’ll happen when you push back the release date of a series or two.
February sees the arrival of three notable true crime series on Hulu. Taiwan Crime Stories premieres on Feb. 1 and presents four true tales from Taiwan’s criminal “dark underbelly.” That will be followed by ABC News Studios’ Killing County on Feb. 3. That three-episode series ponders the question “what happens when police kill?” The most interesting true crime offering premieres on Feb. 9. That’s when Stolen Youth: Inside the Cult at Sarah Lawrence College shares its four-episode saga of Larry Ray and the young college students he victimized.

Forest Whitaker, Rebecca Hall talk Cannes line-up diversity criticism: “We need to rattle the chain”
Hall is on the Competition jury while Whitaker is receiving an honorary Palme d’Or.
Competition juror Rebecca Hall and honorary Palme d’Or recipient Forest Whitaker responded to conversations around the lack of diversity in the Cannes line-up, on the first day of the 75th festival.
Answering a question at the jury press conference about the festival’s efforts to achieve gender and racial diversity, Hall shrugged and said: “I think the jury was picked well.” The actress and filmmaker, who is of mixed-race heritage, is one of four non-white members of the nine-strong jury, and one of four women.

Michael Keaton, who celebrates his 66th birthday on September 5, got his start as a production assistant for a fellow Pittsburgh native, PBS kid-show host Fred Rogers. His film career took off in the 1980s in a series of era-defining popular comedies such as “Mr. Mom” before hitting the jackpot when Tim Burton recruited him as his Caped Crusader in 1989’s“Batman.” Keaton would lose some of his fast-talker mojo when he got mired in family fluff such as “Herbie: Fully Loaded,” “Jack Frost” and “First Daughter.”
But in the past decade or so, he has become quite the esteemed actor. Keaton soared to Academy-Award-nominated anxiety-riddled heights in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s “Birdman” in 2014. He also stood out as the editor in charge of the Pulitzer-winning journalism team that exposed the Catholic Church’s child sex-abuse scandal in 2015’s Best Picture Oscar victor, “Spotlight.” This unique performer continues to be in demand.

But the TBS host also expressed frustration that the media spent the week focused on that slur, rather than on the subject of migrant children being ripped from their families.

On Monday, the former First Daughter, 37, took a stand for President Donald Trump‘s 11-year-old son after a publication printed a story titled, “It’s High Time Barron Trump Starts Dressing Like He’s In the White House.”
“It’s high time the media & everyone leave Barron Trump alone & let him have the private childhood he deserves,” Clinton responded in a tweet.
This is not the first time Bill and Hillary Clinton’s daughter has stood up for Trump’s youngest child.

On Friday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed that Bannon would no longer serve as chief strategist in a statement, saying, “White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day. We are grateful for...

Celebrities and politicians are speaking out against President Donald Trump‘s confusing comments after a rally organized by the alt-right and white nationalists in Charlottesville, Virginia, left threee dead and dozens injured.
On Saturday, a pre-planned “Unite the Right” rally erupted into violence as the white supremacist protesters clashed with counter-protesters who were demonstrating against the event. After Gov. Terry McAuliffe declared a state of emergency and canceled the rally, a 20-year-old man identified as James Alex Fields Jr. allegedly intentionally drove his car into a group of counter-protesters, killing one 32-year-old woman and injuring at least 19 people. MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough lashed out at First Daughter Ivanka Trump on Wednesday morning after she mentioned working alongside Chief of Staff John Kelly. “You will cause your father to fail,” Scarborough warned. Scarborough mocked a tweet Ivanka recently sent that said, “Looking forward to serving alongside John Kelly as we work for the American people. General Kelly is a true American hero.” Kelly, the newly appointed chief of staff, needs some space, according to Scarborough, who didn’t appreciate the way Ivanka worded her message and doesn’t want her working “alongside” the general. I wasn't really sure what to expect when meeting Elisabeth Moss for the first time in Cannes. We were about to spend the next three days together doing interviews, events, and dinners. Of course, I'd known of her since she starred as First Daughter Zoey Bartlet on The West Wing in the late '90s and early 2000s and wowed us all in Girl, Interrupted, holding her own with Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. And I had just binge-watched The Handmaid's Tale and started Top of the Lake. Neither of her characters on those two TV shows were people I thought I would want to hang with, but luckily for me, Irl Lizzie is much more carefree, relaxed, and hilarious. In fact, she was a pleasure from the first minute we met. Literally - within one minute of meeting, she and my awesome, fun husband, Brian, bonded over baseball stats,...

The Trump Administration has been aptly described as “the plot of ‘House of Cards’ with the characters from ‘Veep,'” but Conan O’Brien has different ideas. The “Conan” host cast his own version of a made-for-tv movie about the Trump White House in general and the investigation into Russia’s election meddling in particular, with a number of inspired choices.

Prince Charles is Conan’s pick for Trump himself, not least because of the British royal’s hair; Melania, meanwhile, would be played by a “bored house cat wearing jewelry.” As for Donald Jr., who’s been the center of attention over the last week as he continues to further incriminate himself, only “this punching dummy you see at any gym” will suffice.

When Ivanka Trump asked Cecile Richards for a private meeting earlier this year, the Planned Parenthood president held out hope for working together with President Trump’s eldest daughter on women’s health issues.
“She asked to meet, and I said I was happy to meet to talk about what Planned Parenthood does,” Richards tells People in an interview for this week’s issue. “I explained to her about all of our services, about the millions of people – one in five women in this country – who’ve been to Planned Parenthood for health care.”

When Ivanka Trump asked Cecile Richards for a private meeting earlier this year, the Planned Parenthood president’s hopes won out over her deep differences
with the White House this First Daughter represented.
“Like her father, she knew Planned Parenthood did a lot of good. I felt she was incredibly sympathetic,” Richards recalls of that early-winter sit-down over coffee. “I hoped she would use her influence and her role to speak up for women in this country. But it’s not about talk. It’s about action.”

Scarlett Johansson’s Best Comedic Performances: 5 Moments That Put Her ‘Rough Night’ Role In Context
Scarlett Johansson is no stranger to the world of comedy — she is a member of the so-called Five-Timers Club, an enviable group of stars who have hosted “Saturday Night Live” at least five times — and she’s managed to emerge as an unexpected comedic Mvp without ever toplining an outright comedy. Some 20 years into her career, Johansson has yet to star in a raunchy knee-slapper that takes full advantages of her more light-leaning chops…until now. This week, that changes with the release of “Rough Night.”
An unabashedly female-centric comedy in the vein of “Bridesmaids” and “Bachelorette,” the new film from “Broad City” regulars Lucia Aniello (who makes her feature directorial debut with the film) and Paul W. Downs (who wrote it alongside Aniello and also co-stars) casts Johansson in a lead role alongside a strong ensemble of other (also very funny) women, including Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer,...

Ivanka Trump is getting a crash course in politics. The 35-year-old First Daughter appeared on Fox & Friends in New York City Monday, where she was asked if it's hard to focus on issues that matter to her, given the division between political parties. "It is hard, and there is a level of viciousness that I was not expecting," the presidential assistant told co-host Brian Kilmeade. "I was not expecting the intensity of this experience. But this isn't supposed to be easy. I think some of the distractions and some of the ferocity I was a little blindsided by on a personal level. But for me, I'm trying to keep my head down, not listen to the noise, and just work really hard to make a positive impact in...

Following Sunday’s black-tie gala at Ford’s Theatre attended with First Lady Melania Trump and First Daughter Ivanka Trump, President Donald Trump has tripled-down on calling for a travel ban from Muslim-majority countries in the wake of the London Bridge terror attack that left seven victims dead on Saturday.
In true Trump fashion, the president split with aides and the advocates of his law in the Justice Department in a series of tweets early Monday morning. He criticized the “watered down, politically correct version” submitted to the Supreme Court by the Department of Justice, rather than his original plan.
