It looks like we finally have a streaming release date for the upcoming fantasy romance movie Girl Haunts Boy. It will reportedly be released on Netflix this October. The exact date is Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, so make sure to save the date!
We first learned of this movie back in May 2022. However, it wasn't titled Girl Haunts Boy back then, nor was it billed as a movie. In fact, Netflix wasn't involved with the project in any way. Max, which was called HBO Max at the time, had greenlit the project, which was originally titled B-Loved. And instead of it being a movie, it was going to be a two-part television special event premiering on Max in time for Valentine’s Day 2023.
It's unclear what happened, but the special didn't end up being released on Max in February 2023. It didn't even come out this February. Now, we've just learned that Netflix...

Meet Isabella Ferreira, Who Plays Bailey in Netflix's Incoming - Main Image
Netflix's newest teenage raunchy flick just arrived on the streamer, and among the cast, Isabella Ferreira rises to the spotlight. Here's who she plays on the Netflix flick and where fans may recognize her.
Isabella Ferreira Shines Among the Rest in Netflix's Incoming
As far as the common freshmen story goes, Isabella Ferreira stars as the popular sophomore named Bailey, whom Benj Nielsen (played by Mason Thames) fantasizes about confessing to despite being a freshman.
Benj essentially wants to hold up Bailey's promise of getting a beer together over the summer. In other words, Benji is the typical nerdy kid who wants to make his move on Bailey.
The question Incoming asks is whether or not they'll end up together (and we all know how that goes).
Well, needless to say, despite being the stereotypical sophomore dream girl of the main guy,...

Dexter‘s titular character was a serial killer who went undetected for years, so it makes sense that a prequel about his teen years will contain secrets of its own — even for diehard fans of the original series.
TVLine’s Keisha Hatchett caught up with Molly Brown, who plays a young Deb in the upcoming Dexter: Original Sin, at San Diego Comic-Con Saturday, to get the lowdown on the new series. “The scripts are so good,” Brown teases in the video above. “There’s some really, really good stuff at the end of the season.”

Fly Me to the Moon director Greg Berlanti doesn’t think of himself as a director first and foremost. He’s a storyteller with a keen sense of how he can best serve a project, be it as a producer, writer or director. In the case of Fly Me to the Moon, the New York native had been talking about working with Scarlett Johansson for some time, and the opportunity to helm a hijinks-filled romantic comedy-drama that’s set in and around the Apollo 11 Moon landing was something he couldn’t resist.
His reasoning for signing on was also the polar opposite of why he chose to direct his previous comedy-drama, Love, Simon (2018), which chronicled the coming out story of teenager Simon Spier. (The critically acclaimed hit paved the way for Hulu’s spinoff series, Love, Victor.)

Hulu may have started out as the redheaded stepchild of the streamers back in Netflix’s heyday, but it has stuck around long enough to have firmly established itself as one of the old standbys. It follows, then, that Hulu would have a veritable fount of LGBTQ content ready to compete with the robust queer catalogues available to subscribers of Netflix, HBO, and other platforms.
A brief perusal of Hulu’s LGBTQ section doesn’t disappoint, but digging in deeper will give you the best chance at a genuinely memorable watch. Right now, the Disney-backed streamer is hosting popular queer television classics, like “The L Word,” “My So-Called Life,” and “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” alongside fresher fare, including “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay” and “Killing Eve.” Recent Hulu originals, such as “Love, Victor” and “Shrill,” deserve singling out, if only because you know they’re buzz-worthy and readily available on the service.

Paramount+ premiered the werewolf horror series “Wolf Pack” back in January 2023, and TV Line reports tonight that the series has already been cancelled after just one season.
Sarah Michelle Gellar made her return to horror in the series.
TV Line reports, “Last summer’s dual Hollywood strikes were the final nail in Wolf Pack‘s coffin. According to sources, a potential second season would not have been ready for nearly two years after the conclusion of Season 1.”
“Wolf Pack,” written and produced by Jeff Davis, follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature and drives it to attack a highway traffic jam beneath the burning hills.
Wounded in the chaos, the boy and girl are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two other teenagers who were adopted sixteen years earlier by a park ranger after another mysterious wildfire.

“Sex Education” was never about the sex.
Ever since its 2018 debut, Netflix’s raunchy teen comedy was first, foremost, and unflinchingly about friendship, love, and self-discovery. Otis’ journey (Asa Butterfield) in Season 1 is not sexual exploration with partners, but of unblocking his own difficulty with masturbation and finding his calling as the school’s sex therapist. Everything that came after (pun intended) — for all the characters, including the adults — followed suit.
The show spotlighted queer love from the start, with the out and proud Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), Otis’ best friend. Trials faced by Eric and the show’s growing cast of queer characters started with the familiar — daily homophobia, the anxiety of coming out — and went on to address more nuanced issues, like how different queer people understand each other, gender dysphoria, religion. The show’s fourth and final season sees a handful of previous regulars now attending the spectacularly queer Cavendish College,...

The BBC has acquired all three seasons of Hulu’s Love, Victor.
Set in the same universe as hit movie Love, Simon, the show focuses on a new student at Creekwood High School, played by Michael Cimino. The series follows his journey of self-discovery: facing challenges at home and struggling with his sexual orientation. Love, Victor ran for three seasons between 2020 and 2022.
The deal was struck with Disney Entertainment. The BBC has been buying more American shows of late, having struck a deal for AMC’s Interview with the Vampire earlier this month along with Australian hits such as Colin From Accounts and Scrublands.

He reaches out to Simon when it seems too difficult for him to navigate his way through high school.
Sue Deeks, Head of BBC Programme Acquisition, said: “Love, Victor is a heartfelt, funny and nuanced coming-of-age story,...

One of the issues at the heart of the WGA strike continues to be mini-rooms and the impact they’ve had — and could continue to have — on television shows. But, as WGA members who spoke with TheWrap note, the rooms have an emotional impact on writers, too.
A mini-room is a practice in which a television creator assembles a writers’ room to create multiple scripts — sometimes even an entire season’s worth — for a show, often before the title has even been greenlit. With these scripts in hand, a network or streamer will make a decision as to whether or not the show is good enough to go on.

Prime Video has released its “Red White & Royal Blue” film, based on Casey McQuiston’s novel, and viewers are in store for some great twists on romantic comedy tropes and foreign relations.
McQuiston’s novel follows Alex Claremont Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez), son of the first woman to become president of the United States (Uma Thurman) as he butts heads with Prince Henry (Nicholas Galitzine) constantly, which gets them both into trouble. The president sent her son to the royal wedding with only one operative: Do not cause a scene. But apparently, he caused a big enough commotion to take the cake — literally a large wedding cake toppled onto Alex and Henry after an altercation on the dance floor. Smoothing things over, at least in a famous fake friendship kind of way, the boys strike up an actual relationship, romantic and all.

The Television Critics Association awards nominations went public Friday, and it was great news for some series and sad news for others.
The Last of Us, The Bear, and Succession are in a three-way tie with five nominations apiece.
All three shows were expected to get some awards love, so their performances here are not surprising.
The Bear has been a bonafide hit for FX and Hulu, but there were some more first-year shows in the mix, too.
Andor, Jury Duty, Shrinking, Interview With the Vampire, and Poker Face were all well-represented.
Somewhat surprising: Ted Lasso and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel were shut out.
The news comes after both series have been big hits on the awards front and could set a precedent for upcoming awards shows.
Awards will be handed out at an in-person ceremony on August 7, 2023.
Check out the complete list of nominations below.

ABC’s Emmy-winning comedy Abbott Elementary and Peacock rookie Poker Face are next with four nominations apiece.

In early development, Marco Mejia, the gender-nonconforming queer character at the heart of the new series Glamorous — set inside the world of the makeup business — was conceived as a much younger character.
“Literally, Marco was in high school,” recalls Miss Benny, who plays him on the show, which debuts June 22. But over the four years that the actor (and former YouTube star) was attached to the project, “It got retooled and written so many times and is at a different network [Netflix] — and now Marco’s just like, an out-and-proud-living homosexual,” says the L.A.-based actor, 24, who grew up in Denton, Texas, and has had roles on Fuller House; Love, Victor; and American Horror Story. “When we shot the pilot, I had to shave like three times a day to somehow look like I was 17. And this time, they were like, ‘No, you can just be you.'”

Hilary Duff is the star of How I Met Your Father on Hulu and her breakout role was on Disney Channel’s Lizzie McGuire.
On the latest season of the How I Met Your Mother spinoff, Duff’s Sophie recalls a moment from her teenage years and a flashback scene from Lizzie McGuire appears. The nod to the kids’ show was to all of the fans disappointed the reboot didn’t happen, something that Duff recently recalled.
“I don’t think it was enough to satisfy the fact that [the Disney+ Lizzie McGuire revival] project is shelved,” she told Shape in a recent interview.
One of the highly-touted projects for the then-nascent Disney+ streamer was a revival of Lizzie McGuire. However, the show did not move forward over creative differences as Duff wanted a show tackling Lizzie’s problems as an adult while Disney reportedly wanted it to keep its family-oriented vibe.

When TV academy voters sit down to fill out their 2023 Emmy nominations ballots, they have to consider 95 shows for Best Comedy Series; this is down by 23 contenders from last year. After six years of there being no restrictions on the amount of entrants they could vote for, each member’s selections can now not exceed the number of eventual nominations in a given category, which, in this case, will be eight.

It's official — our time with Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is coming to an end. "Never Have I Ever" is set to premiere its final season next month, concluding Devi's chaotic high school years with what I can only assume will be an extremely eventful senior year. In the three seasons that we've known her, Devi has fought a coyote, juggled two boyfriends at the same time, stalked her own mother, and pissed off everyone in her life at least once. To say that she keeps things interesting would be an understatement ... but she's also grown immensely in all that time, working through the loss of her dad in therapy and surviving high school one personal crisis at a time.

Devi Vishwakumar isn’t ready to say goodbye, and neither are we.
After losing her virginity to Ben Gross (Jaren Lewinson), Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is ready for her final year of high school, with eyes on the Princeton prize in the trailer for “Never Have I Ever” Season 4 — the final batch of episodes for the Netflix series, which drop June 8 on the streamer.
Of course, it wouldn’t be the same without her besties Eleanor (Ramona Young) and Fabiola (Lee Rodriquez) by her side as they conquer college applications, prom and graduation.
It looks like some special guest stars will appear in this final season of Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher’s comedy series. Ken Marino can be glimpsed driving the girls to prom in a limo. Michael Cimino (“Love Victor”) has been crowned new king of the hot pocket, and his character Ethan has gotten, well, hotter over the summer.

Kitty (Anna Cathcart) finally gets her chance to shine in the trailer for “Xo, Kitty,” a new spin-off series that expands the world of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” which was explored in the three film adaptations released on Netflix.
“I know when two people are meant for each other,” Cathcart says as an intro to her powerpoint presentation about why she should go to the Korea Independent School of Seoul. “I felt it for Lara Jean and Peter and I feel it for me and Dae.”
In the final film of the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” trilogy, based on the books by Jenny Han, Kitty met Dae (Minyeong Choi) in New York while Lara Jean was visiting colleges. “Never Have I Ever” is nearing the final installment of its hilarious depiction of adolescent chaos, and showrunner/co-creator Lang Fisher already expects fans will have feelings about how the story ends.
The Netflix comedy series follows Sherman Oaks teen Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) as she juggles high school, grief over losing her father and love interests aplenty between hearthtrob Paxton Hall-Yoshida (Darren Barnet) and academic frenemy Ben Gross (Jaren Lewison).
Fisher tells TheWrap that the show’s final season, set to premiere Thursday, June 8, will see Devi make a clear choice between her two suitors — and not all fans will be happy with the outcome.
“I think there’s gonna be a subset of people who are disappointed because, you know, the love triangle comes to an end and decisions are made,” Fisher said during the NBCU Emmys Kickoff luncheon in Los Angeles Wednesday. “But I hope that we...

The film currently shooting in Los Angeles is described as being of the world of Swingers, with the sensibility of Pulp Fiction. Essentially, Hollywood idiots getting in way over their heads. On Christmas eve, six fledgling Hollywood hopefuls get a mysterious knock at their door and an envelope of $$$ at their feet. It contains the “opportunity of a lifetime” to go burglarize a mutually despised producer that once screwed them over and steal his Best Picture awards. Who organized this holiday heist?...

“Ivy League horndog” Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) and her nerds are back for one final year of high school, starting June 8 on Netflix.
The streamer released a teaser clip and first-look photos at the last hurrah for Mindy Kaling’s high shcool comedy series, which also deals deftly with the topic of mental health.
As narrator John McEnroe says, “there’s no denying that the journey to senior year has had its ups and downs” and “some really bad downs” at that. The hotheadeed tennis player’s voice continues in the teaser clip, saying “But soon, Devi and her friends return to high school for one final year, and this time, they’re ready for anything.”
Except, maybe, Michael Cimino taking his shirt off to display his rock hard abs. It looks like a prom, new relationships and old complicated feelings are in store for this final season, as promised by co-creator,...

Netflix has set June 8 for the debut of the final season of “Never Have I Ever,” the high school comedy from co-creators Mindy Kaling and Lana Fisher that definitely should’ve gotten John McEnroe an Emmy nomination for Best Narrator.
“Never Have I Ever” Season 4 picks up after the events of Season 3, with show lead Devi (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) on the cusp of graduation and making tough choices about her love life and future. In the last batch of episodes, Devi eventually consummated her on-again, off-again flirtation with fellow school nerd Ben (Jaren Lewison) while seemingly moving on from her other on-again, off-again object of affection, Paxton (Darren Barnet). But Fisher says the love triangle will remain sharp-edged until the final episode streams.
“The love triangle is not over. It continues into Season 4. Anyone who is worried that this is it, it keeps going. Don’t worry. It’s for the length of the entire series,...

Hulu‘s How I Met Your Father Season 2 has featured multiple impressive guest stars, from Mark Consuelos and Constance Marie to the legend himself, Neil Patrick Harris. So, of course, the writers had to include more big names in the two-part mid-season finale of How I Met Your Father Season 2, starting with Michael Cimino.
