Charli Xcx enlists an all-cool cast — including Rachel Sennott, Chloë Sevigny, Emma Chamberlain, and Julia Fox — for her new video for “360,” the latest track off the singer’s upcoming LP Brat.
In the visual directed by Aidan Zamiri (who also photographed Rolling Stone‘s cover story on Billie Eilish), Xcx is summoned to a meeting at a restaurant to introduce the new track, but only after the diners — Sennott and Fox among them —”fulfill the prophecy of finding a new hot internet girl.” After electing their waitress for the role,...

Charli Xcx is back with “360,” her latest single and the opening track of her forthcoming album, Brat.
Featuring a percussive synth-scape that’s a signature sound of Brat producer A. G. Cook, “360” sees Charli deliver an infectious melody with crisp, hyperpop vocals. On the second verse, she name-drops Cook (“You gon’ jump if A. G. made it”) and for the chorus, she sings a memorable refrain shouting out her good friend, Julia Fox, with lyrics, “When you’re in the mirror, do you like what you see?/ When you’re in the mirror, you’re just looking at me/ I’m everywhere, I’m so Julia.”
Arriving alongside the single is a cinematic music video starting with a sketch about Charli attending a meeting to “fulfill the prophecy of finding a new ‘Hot Internet Girl,'” along with Rachel Sennott, Chloe Cherry, Richie Shazam, Gabbriette (from the band Nasty Cherry), and Fox herself.

Fans of Pittsburgh professional sports can now watch their local baseball and hockey teams without a traditional cable or satellite subscription.
On Monday, Fenway Sports Group announced the launch of Snp 360, a direct-to-consumer streaming television service for its regional network SportsNet Pittsburgh that will offer live access to Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Penguins games for $18 per month.
It marks the first time the games have been offered on a dedicated streaming service outside the traditional pay TV bundle since SportsNet Pittsburgh was split off from Warner Bros Discovery (Wbd) last year. The channel was previously known as AT&T SportsNet Pittsburgh under Wbd’s ownership.
“Our desire has been to reach fans wherever they are and give them options to access our clubs’ telecasts,” Sean McGrail, the CEO of SportsNet Pittsburgh, said in a statement.

Sling TV may not carry regional sports networks, but it’s a perfect low-cost compliment to the growing number of in-market team streaming options available.
March is one of the most underrated sports months on the calendar. The 2024 MLB regular season is coming on Thursday, March 28, and the NBA and NHL seasons are heating up as the race for playoff seeding begins in earnest. The past year has seen myriad teams from all three leagues create new in-market streaming options, and many fans of those teams have likely cut the cord to save money and watch those streaming services instead of shelling out $80 per month or more for a cable plan that’s stuffed with channels they don’t watch. But if you’re one of these viewers and you find yourself missing networks like ESPN and TNT with national sports coverage, you have a great option available for watching...

Dubai, Aug 26 (Ians) Former South Africa cricketer Ab de Villiers has suggested Virat Kohli could be the answer to India’s No.4 conundrum at the World Cup.
Speaking on his Youtube channel ‘Ab de Villiers 360’, Kohli’s former Ipl teammate said, “We’re still talking about who will be the No. 4 batter for India. I’ve heard some rumours about Virat (Kohli) possibly taking up that position. I would be a big supporter of that.”
“I think Virat is perfect for No. 4. He can put the innings together, play any kind of role in that middle order. I don’t know if he would like to do that. We know he loves his No. 3 position; he’s scored all his runs there, but at the end of the day, if the team needs you to do something, play a certain role, you have got to put your hand up and go for it.

Jesse Watters’ debut as the permanent occupant of Fox News’ 8 p.m. hour gave the network a boost in the timeslot, versus the series of replacement hosts who have filled the time period since the cancellation of Tucker Carlson’s show.
Jesse Watters Primetime averaged 2.47 million viewers during the hour. That compares to the 1.66 million that Fox News Tonight averaged in June.
Still, Watters’ audience was less than the 3.1 million viewers that Carlson averaged in the time period last July. The network is obviously aiming for Watters’ audience to grow, as Carlson’s did after he replaced Bill O’Reilly in 2017.
Watters on Monday beat cable news rivals, including an MSNBC Joe Scarborough special, which averaged 1.29 million, and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360, which averaged 686,000.
In the adults 25-54 demo, Watters averaged 161,000 viewers, compared to 139,000 for MSNBC’s Scarborough and 120,000 for CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360.

MSNBC’s All In With Chris Hayes topped the 8 p.m. Et time slot on Wednesday night, a ratings win for a Fox News rival following the departure of Tucker Carlson.
Hayes’ show drew 1.38 million viewers, edging out Fox News Tonight with 1.33 million and CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 with 643,000. In the 25-54 demo, All In had 167,000, compared to 139,000 for AC360 and 124,000 for Fox News Tonight.
Tucker Carlson Tonight had consistently dominated the time period and was the most viewed show in cable news last month. It averaged 3.25 million viewers in March.
After his exit on Monday, Fox News launched Fox News Tonight, designed to feature a rotating series of hosts until a permanent successor is named. Brian Kilmeade has been hosting this week. The audience has fallen off from the start of the week.
The top ratings for Hayes’ show may be due to audiences on the right going elsewhere.

Many Fox News viewers promised to boycott the network following Tucker Carlson’s unceremonious exit on Monday (April 24), and judging by the latest ratings, they stuck to their promise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the debut of Fox News Tonight, which replaces Carlson’s slot at the 8 pm hour, pulled in just under 2.6 million viewers on Monday night. That is down around 21 percent from recent episodes of Tucker Carlson Tonight, which averaged 3.3 million over the past eight Mondays. The show also saw a fall in the key news demographic of adults 25-54, reaching a 0.24 rating. This is 37 percent lower than the 0.38 that Carlson pulled in over the past eight weeks. That said, the numbers were still sizable enough to comfortably lead the 8 pm hour over rival cable news networks. Over on MSNBC, a Joe Scarborough Presents special reached 1.51 million viewers, while Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN drew 728,000 viewers. The first...

Unsurprisingly, Fox News ratings suffered Monday night without the channel’s most watched host.
After the surprise of Fox News and Tucker Carlson “agree[ing] to part ways” on Monday, the network’s 8 p.m. hour had a significantly smaller audience Monday night. The debut of Fox News Tonight, hosted by Brian Kilmeade (the first in a series of rotating hosts), pulled in just under 2.6 million viewers — about 21 percent below the average for Tucker Carlson Tonight (3.3 million viewers) over the past eight Mondays.
Fox News Tonight also took a hit in the key news demographic of adults 25-54: Its 0.24 rating was 37 percent lower than the 0.38 Carlson averaged over the prior eight Monday shows.
Those figures were still more than enough to lead the 8 p.m. hour on cable news by a sizable margin. A Joe Scarborough Presents special on MSNBC came in at 1.51 million viewers, while Anderson Cooper 360 drew 728,000 people to CNN.

Ahead of the Super Bowl on Feb. 13, YouTube is announcing a new ad offering for connected TV viewers.
It will allow advertisers to reduce the number of times that viewers see the same ads over and over again. The feature will live within Google's demand-side platform (Dsp), which is called Display And Video 360, and which enables advertisers to purchase ads outside of its own platforms.
Previously, advertisers could limit ad frequency on Google platforms and non-Google apps (through the Dsp) – a limit of five times within each category, for instance. Now, it can choose one number that applies collectively.

The year 2021 was one of tumult in the news biz: Chris Cuomo fired, Brian Williams’ surprise exit, Chris Wallace bolting for a rival. And that is not even getting to the daily headlines about Tucker Carlson’s vaccine doubts and distortions, the “great replacement” theory or January 6th false flags.
The past 12 months also have been one of tune out, as all of the networks saw a significant drop in viewers.
A lot of this was to be expected, as the news cycle moved on from the four-alarm fires of the Trump administration and the momentous nature of a presidential election year. Coupled with the onset of Covid-19 shutdowns, the year 2020 was a ratings bonanza for the news business, so it’s natural that there would be a bit of a come down.
But will audiences return in 2022, with a midterm election on the calendar? Or in the next presidential election cycle?...

Whitney Port may be most recognizable as a former star of MTV’s “The Hills” and its spinoff “The City,” but she has since gone on to build a successful career far beyond the realm of reality television. It’s a journey that Port says was both propelled and impeded by the notoriety that comes with starring on one of the most successful TV franchises of all time.
“The TV show happened very organically but then it created this platform for me to start these different businesses,” Port said at TheWrap’s 2020 Power Women Summit. “The reason why I ended up even doing the spinoff, ‘The City’ [which centered on Port moving from Los Angeles to New York to take a job at Diane von Fürstenberg] is so that I could launch my clothing line.”
“I have worked really hard to try to make myself something more than just a reality TV star,” she continued. “I think that’s the hardest barrier for me to break...

Dr. Safiya Noble, a professor and the author of “Algorithms of Oppression,” would love to one day adapt her book into a series highlighting the women doing incredible work in her field. And she already has the perfect person in mind to play her: Tessa Thompson.
Noble spoke about the importance of visibility for women of color — especially those working in the Stem fields — on “What Are You Bringing?” The podcast is hosted by “On Being Human” author Jennifer Pastiloff and Alicia “Ace” Easter, the founder of Ace Yoga LA, and was presented Wednesday as part of TheWrap’s Power Women Summit 2020.
“My hope for this work… is that I can use it to culture shift. We live here in L.A., and I’m trying to envision… doesn’t Tessa Thompson want to play me in the making of ‘Algorithms of Oppression’?” Noble said on the podcast. “The next...

Kirby Dick, the co-director and co-producer of HBO Max’s “On the Record” documentary, said women cannot be the only ones putting in the work to change the culture around sexual assault.
“Let’s be clear that sexual assault is not a women’s issue. This is everyone’s issue,” Dick said at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit. “And if anything, I think it’s the responsibility of men, obviously much more than women, to step up.”
“This is an issue that has been buried for so long, he continued. “It’s going to take multiple films, it’s going to take multiple investigations, a lot of journalists, a lot of filmmakers … and the public as a whole, and activists, to come together to help change this issue.”
Dick, alongside co-director and co-producer Amy Ziering, shared their journey to releasing “On the Record” during a Q&a presented by HBO Max.

Christine Simmons, the COO of the AMPAS, isn’t letting her organization forget about 2016’s #OscarsSoWhite, which actually predated her tenure. These days she wants to “institutionalize the good” as much as eliminate the “institutionalized oppression.”
Simmons, who was part of a five-woman panel focused on “Redefining Corporate Culture” at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit, has more than just the chief operating officer initials on her office door at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. She also oversees the office of representation, inclusion and equity — a role she takes just as seriously as the one that facilitates the Academy Awards.
“Just as important as it is to put on that show, it’s just as important that there’s representation,” Simmons told moderator Nina Shaw, who is the founder of the Hollywood Commission on Eliminating Sexual Harassment and Advancing Equality. “It’s a business imperative.”

Conversations about Hollywood’s diversity problem often circle back to one point: Change the gatekeepers. But what if the path forward actually circumvents those traditional gatekeepers entirely?
“If you ever want to know where the evolution of the entertainment business is going, distribution-wise, just look at the porn industry and the sex work industry,” said “Russian Doll” creator Leslye Headland at TheWrap’s annual Power Women’s Summit on Tuesday. “As soon as porn became democratized and algorithm-based, I just thought … ‘Yeah, that’s the next thing.'”
“With OnlyFans, I got very excited because I started to think, maybe there won’t be any gatekeepers,” she continued. “These are things that could be really exciting for marginalized communities or artists.”
Headland’s comments came during the “Creators, Showrunners, Producers” panel discussing ways Hollywood can take concrete steps toward a more inclusive future. She was joined on the panel by...

“Raya and the Last Dragon” star Kelly Marie Tran says there is an “unfair” amount of pressure that comes with taking on the role of Disney’s first Southeast Asian princess, due to the expectation that she be “extra grateful” to represent a historically underrepresented community.
“It should not feel so precious that there is something like this that exists in the world,” the “Star Wars” alum said Tuesday during “The Future Is Now: Next Gen Hollywood Roundtable” at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit. “There should just be so many. Do you know what I mean? I feel like sometimes when you are in an underrepresented group of people and you get this opportunity, you sort of have to do all of these mental Olympics of being like, ‘Oh, I have to be extra grateful because it will never happen again.’ And that’s such an unfair pressure to put on yourself.
