As Hollywood’s leading studios begin to promote their assets leading up to 2018 (see: Infinity War, Fallen Kingdom), Entertainment Weekly has officially blown the lid off X-Men: Dark Phoenix, Simon Kinberg’s all-star tentpole that’s poised to ship the mutants off to space in November.
It’s a story that largely revolves around the young Jean Grey (Games of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner), who is left at the mercy of a blistering solar flare while on board the famous X-Jet, which, in turn, triggers a powerful transformation within the unsuspecting Jean. And it’s one that threatens to rock Professor X’s mutant school down to its very foundations.
Then again, while Sophie Turner’s character is primed for a huge and potentially tragic arc in Dark Phoenix – the film has been described as the “most emotional” entry in Fox’s prequel saga – there’s another entity to consider: Jessica Chastain’s mystery villain.

Life usually begins at birth and ends with death, but for witches that's not always the case.
In "Boy Parts," each of the witches struggled with life and death issues of their own or of someone else. The seemingly endless abilities of magic encouraged Fiona to search out the source of eternal youth, while others used it to create life.
Teenagers are destined to get in trouble, right? Though, I'm not sure that using magic to flip over a bus to kill the occupants or having sex to kill a rapist is necessarily within the scope of "normal" teenage antics. When the police showed up to question Zoe and Madison about their frat boy encounters, Zoe crumbled almost immediately. It's a good thing her mother got her out of town and enrolled in the witch school.
Fiona rightfully was furious. Zoe threatened the secrecy of the school and betrayed the witches who lived there.

It’s true; no matter what certain networks may claim about their “winter finales,” winter doesn’t actually start until December 21, and isn’t over until March 20. Syfy, at least, understands this, and has announced their appropriately-titled winter schedule accordingly.
Happily this means that, starting on Monday, January 14, 2013, we will have some great television to get us through the cold months, including the return of Being Human and Lost Girl, and the premiere of Continuum, and later in the week, the return of Ghost Hunters and Face Off.
Here’s the schedule of premieres, along with series synopses:
Syfy’S 2013 Winter Programming Highlighted By Series Premieres Of Ghost Mine, Robot Combat League, Stranded And Continuum Season Returns Of Hits Being Human, Face Off, Total Blackout, Ghost Hunters, Lost Girl, Haunted Collector And Final Season Of Merlin

Talk about a transformation. This 27-year-old TV star ditched his trademark facial scruff for a decidedly more feminine look. Wearing a full face of makeup, this blue-eyed beauty pulls off a pixie cut like a pro. So who's the cross-dressing star who could certainly teach us some cosmetology tips? It's 90210 star Ryan Eggold. The actor is dressed in drag for his role in the short film titled Queen. In the flick, Eggold plays a transgendered cabaret star. According to the movie's Facebook page, she "looks to fill the void in her life after her plans to start a family fall apart." The film is currently on the festival circuit, but you can check out the trailer (and...

Bart Simpson is going high fashion next week at Jeremy Scott's fashion show. I've seen some of Scott's work, which is a bit edgy for Springfield – this could be interesting.
The analysis of the new bill that Virginia just passed allowing adoption agencies to discriminate for basically any reason they say conflicts with their beliefs shows a broad, poorly formed bill. Quakers could discriminate against military parents. Sure, we all know that the main purpose was to allow Catholic Charities to discriminate with taxpayer dollars, but cheers to unintended consequences!
How your cat is making you crazy – with science to back me up.

American Horror Story's Evan Peters was discussing the Rubber Man suit, but the quote is just amazing. And maybe a little familiar sounding. "I don’t know if you’ve ever put on lube before, but it’s not like there’s a layer of Vaseline on you; it’s just almost like your skin is super smooth and slick; it feels kind of gross, but at the same time, you feel really well moisturized. You’re not like, 'Ew, get it off of me.' You’re more like, 'This is kind of gross. I want to get this off as soon as possible. But maybe I can stop and get a sandwich first.'”
Contrary to reports from, well, everywhere, Newt Gingrich did not say that gays should vote for Obama.

Hey, little piggies! Is everyone ready to pull back the shower curtain on the latest episode of American Horror Story? Careful - there's a big bad Persian Armenian wolf set to blow the house down and an undead housekeeper set to blow - well, I'm getting ahead of myself.
We start the episode, as usual, in a flashback. Constance (Jessica Lange) is crying in front of a crackling fire. Speaking of fire, a pre-burn Larry the Burn Man (Denis O'Hare) walks in and hangs up the phone behind her. She tells him that they're charging her with criminal child neglect or something like that - is she talking about Tate shooting up his school?
She makes an offhand reference to the child in question, noting, "Now you know how he is when he's not supervised" and mentions a name - Carl? Gal? Bowl? Damn you and your Old Dominion whispering,...
