Movies I think are overrated

by BlackholeTraveller | created - 08 Feb 2011 | updated - 06 Feb 2012 | Public

A short list of movies that darn many people seem to like or think that they are good movie - but not me. To show you that I'm kinda right I compared my score to the ones from moviepilot.de, it's a German movie-rating-website, where you can rate and comment all the movies you have seen. CR = Average critics rating, COM = Average community rating. Critics are professional critics both from German-speaking countries and also some American critics are included... Being a lazy person, I included also some movies where I simply compare IMDB-User-Rating vs. my rating. Maybe I'll update that list later.

Just to add one more thing: Not all movies are really bad, but ones like "Brick" or "Cruel Intentions" have a general good rating, what I can't really understand. But must I know everything? To like or not to like movies is not science, everybody is entitled to his/her opinion, IF it is justified in some way.

This list has no particular order yet. For a ranking I'll do it this way: Add up the 4 rating numbers, devide it by 4 and then we've got the difference. :)

Legend:

  • MCR = Moviepilot.de Critics-Rating
  • MCOM = Moviepilot.de Community-Rating
  • IMDU = IMDB.com User-Rating
  • META = Metascore
