Votes: 222,785 | Gross: $46.00M

Really enjoyed this movie. It felt like a mix between the usual suspects and goodfellas. I was expecting a "just alright movie" supported by a brilliant cast but it was fantastic. Can't wait to watch it again.

2. Lincoln (2012)

PG-13 | 150 min | Biography, Drama, History

Director: Steven Spielberg | Stars: Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, David Strathairn, Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Votes: 272,678 | Gross: $182.21M

It was more of a history lesson than anything else but if I'm going to learn my history this is the way to do it. Some fine acting (of course, with the cast involved) and contrary to some reviews I read I didn't find the movie dragging on. It was a pity though that there was no truly dramatic, inspiring finale. The last twenty minutes never got my nerves tingling.

3. Cloud Atlas (2012)

R | 172 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

Votes: 374,436 | Gross: $27.11M

An entertaining albeit confusing film. I enjoyed following the vast array of characters but I'm still not sure where they brought me. I guess I lost the plot and I never really understood the connections between the characters and ultimately, therefore, the whole point of the movie. It was lost on me!

Votes: 1,695,544 | Gross: $162.81M

Tarantino at his best! A brilliant movie and one I will remember for a long time. Tarantino has rekindled my love for "shoot-out" style movies and has brought the Western back with a bang.

Director: Tom Hooper | Stars: Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried

Votes: 346,043 | Gross: $148.81M

Great acting and great songs and I love historical movies so needless to say I was impressed. I'm not too fussed on all the singing instead of talking and would rather have listened to more straight forward dialogue but that is my only complaint.

Another very entertaining Danny Boyle movie. A great soundtrack and great acting. The story was gripping from the start and got more intriguing as the movie progressed. My only criticism, and its an important one, is that it got a bit too complicated and I'm still not sure how it ended! Still, I will enjoy watching it again to find out.

Votes: 335,428 | Gross: $112.20M

A bit of a let down. A lot of just unfunny jokes. The best bits were in the trailer. Nowhere nearly as funny as the first movie and I can't compare it to the second because they were both as forgetable as each other.

Finally a film that can give the superman movies a bit of credibility. Special effects in this movie were immense. However, i think they took over too much and a decent story was lost amid the explosions and collapsing buildings. I was hoping for another Dark Knight, especially as Christopher Nolan was involved, but I was disappointed. A decent movie but a bit of a let down.

Votes: 83,381 | Gross: $19.70M

This movie could have been so so much better. There was a great storyline in there, if it had just been touched up a little. Instead it was a lazy effort of political thriller. Also I do not think Mark Wahlberg is a good actor so that doesn't help!
