1. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

PG-13 | 151 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

44 Metascore

Batman is manipulated by Lex Luthor to fear Superman. Superman´s existence is meanwhile dividing the world and he is framed for murder during an international crisis. The heroes clash and force the neutral Wonder Woman to reemerge.

Director: Zack Snyder | Stars: Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg

Votes: 752,326 | Gross: $330.36M

Long, boring, poorly edited, unbalanced, convoluted, and lack of thought in writting.

2. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016)

PG-13 | 133 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

65 Metascore

In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction.

Director: Gareth Edwards | Stars: Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen

Votes: 686,268 | Gross: $532.18M

Yeah, this movie was kind of unnecessary. If the characters had more development and screen time, plus a better pacing that I would have felt otherwise.

The big issues I had with it was that all the characters died, but ironically, the characters didn't click with me. A problem I have with the characters is what's their's motivations for dying? Why did Saw choose to remain on Jedha, a doomed planet? Why didn't Jyn and Cassian not attempt to escape? All that's right Disney wanted the characters to die.

But what made this movie stand out to me was Darth Vader's amazing scene at the end, the digital recreations of certain characters. To me, this was a novelty. K2SO was my favorite character, his demise had the greatest impact of all the characters.

I do wish the original cut was released on Blu-ray or something, just for the differences.

3. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)

PG-13 | 144 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

52 Metascore

In the 1980s the X-Men must defeat an ancient all-powerful mutant, En Sabah Nur, who intends to thrive through bringing destruction to the world.

Director: Bryan Singer | Stars: James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult

Votes: 460,941 | Gross: $155.44M

This movie does have it's good parts. Michael Fassbender as Magneto is amazing as always, especially with the turmoil his character goes through. He's the character I had the most investment in.

The humor regarding Quicksilver was great, scenes of Charles and Moira was entertaining.

Apocalypse didn't feel threatening in this movie nor was the destruction he was causing. His horsemen, for the most part, are illogical choices.

Plus little stuff here and that added and detracted from my enjoyment.

4. Westworld (2016–2022)

TV-MA | 60 min | Drama, Mystery, Sci-Fi

At the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, waits a world in which every human appetite can be indulged without consequence.

Stars: Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Ed Harris, Thandiwe Newton

Votes: 532,638

I was kind of disappointed with the show just because I didn't know what it was supposed to be and felt that not much of interest happened in each episode. I'd wait for each episode, wishing that it stayed consistently interesting but rarely happens.

5. 11.22.63 (2016)

TV-MA | 60 min | Drama, Mystery, Romance

Jake Epping, a teacher, gets a chance to travel back in time to avert the death of John F. Kennedy. However, history's aversion to alteration and his love for the era and a woman endanger him.

Stars: James Franco, Sarah Gadon, George MacKay, Chris Cooper

Votes: 99,247

This mini-series became more frustrating as it progressed. Why would Jack toss his SMARTPHONE into a lake? That's evidence he's from the future! Why did Sadie have to be scared and eventually killed? Cut Jack a break. And I thought of how nice it would have been if Sadie came with Jack to the future because that would have been unique for the show.

The ending was very disappointing. When Jack arrives in an alternative future, it's so confusing that it should have provided answers but didn't. The show said JFK's actions led to the world becoming like the way that future turned out but there were no hints of it. Jack spent all this time in the past only to come to a dystopian future. Terrific.

One more complaint, who the hell was that homeless man that haunted Jack repeatedly that he didn't belong there? A ghost?

And another complaint, I thought Billy was going to be the second shooter. What a disappointment that was.

Maybe just another, the motivation for Oswald assassinating JFK was confusing. I think he went on some rant about the government surveying him or something. Oh boy, just wait until the future!

6. Captain America: Civil War (2016)

PG-13 | 147 min | Action, Sci-Fi

75 Metascore

Political involvement in the Avengers' affairs causes a rift between Captain America and Iron Man.

Directors: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo | Stars: Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan

Votes: 849,735 | Gross: $408.08M

This is not a bad movie! The airport fight sequence, the Black Panther, and Tom Holland's Spider-man is the best part of it. The pacing that took place before the airport fight felt like an eternity, and it's something I would fast-forward through.

Afterward, Zemo's convoluted plan relied on coincidences and why was there a security camera on a random road?

7. Independence Day: Resurgence (2016)

PG-13 | 120 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

32 Metascore

Two decades after the first Independence Day invasion, Earth is faced with a new extra-Solar threat. But will mankind's new space defenses be enough?

Director: Roland Emmerich | Stars: Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Maika Monroe

Votes: 188,686 | Gross: $103.14M

This movie is *beep* incoherent *beep*

The premise of Earth using alien technology was pretty cool. Furthermore, that African man who hunted aliens would have made an incredible spin-off.

8. Dracula Untold (2014)

PG-13 | 92 min | Action, Drama, Fantasy

40 Metascore

As his kingdom is being threatened by the Turks, young prince Vlad Tepes must become a monster feared by his own people in order to obtain the power needed to protect his own family, and the families of his kingdom.

Director: Gary Shore | Stars: Luke Evans, Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon, Art Parkinson

Votes: 207,578 | Gross: $56.28M

All the little things I enjoyed from this movie are distracted from a poorly written story. All these characters die but I don't feel anything because they weren't given development or screentime that when they bite the dust I would feel something but can't.

The actions of the villain are nonsensical. Why would Mehmed waste thousands of men just for one thousand boys? That’s like if a business wasted billions of dollars to make one million. IDIOTIC!

This movie's plot is straightforward and boring. Vlad attempts to resist the forces of Mehmed after several attacks. There should be layers and depth to what's happening.

There are other problems that this film interjects from nowhere with no explanation. Since when could Vlad control clouds? Such a deus ex machina and a cop out. Out of nowhere Mehmed conveniently knows the weaknesses of Vlad and sets up his tent into a trap.

9. Like Crazy (2011)

PG-13 | 86 min | Drama, Romance

68 Metascore

A British college student falls for an American student, only to be separated from him when she's banned from the U.S. after overstaying her visa.

Director: Drake Doremus | Stars: Felicity Jones, Anton Yelchin, Jennifer Lawrence, Charlie Bewley

Votes: 63,294 | Gross: $3.41M

The chemistry and romance between the leads are convincing, I just feel that the movie moves at a snail pace.

10. House of Wax (2005)

R | 113 min | Horror, Thriller

41 Metascore

A group of teens are unwittingly stranded near a strange wax museum and soon must fight to survive and keep from becoming the next exhibit.

Director: Jaume Collet-Serra | Stars: Chad Michael Murray, Paris Hilton, Elisha Cuthbert, Brian Van Holt

Votes: 133,957 | Gross: $32.06M

The unlikeable teenagers overshadows an intriguing storyline of the brothers who kill people.
