Taylor Swift had an eventful return to Nashville this weekend. Over the course of a three-night stand at Nissan Stadium, Swift surprised fans by announcing Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and teamed up with Phoebe Bridgers for the live debut of “Nothing New (Taylor’s Version). Speaking of Bridgers, her supergroup boygenius made a surprise appearance during her opening sets for Swift, as did The 1975’s Matty Healy. Healy also stuck around to watch Swift’s headlining set, fueling rumors that the two are actually dating. And that was just the first two nights.
Swift’s third and final show in Nashville was delayed by four hours due to storms. As a result, Bridgers’ opening set was scrapped, and Swift herself didn’t take the stage until after 10:00 p.m. local time. The singer nonetheless persevered, staging her full “Eras Tour” production in all its 45-song, rain-soaked glory.

With the countdown officially on for the fifth and final season of "Stranger Things," David Harbour, who plays Sheriff Jim Hopper, is already making suggestions for more Hawkins mayhem. "Stranger Things" creators Matt and Ross Duffer have confirmed a spinoff will happen in the future, although they did say it would be "different than what anyone is expecting" in an interview with Variety.
With no news on which characters the spinoff might include, Harbour has some thoughts. In an interview with GQ, the 47-year-old said: "At this point, I think Hopper is a character that can exist independent of me. If they wanna go back in time, forward in time . . . I'd love to see another actor play Hopper, and see what they can bring to it."
And who will that actor be? Harbour's top pick is "Euphoria"'s Jacob Elordi, who plays Nate Jacobs.

The annual Met Gala is always a who's who of stars, all glammed up for the world's biggest costume party. The 2022 Met Gala was, of course, no exception - and even a former secretary of state made an appearance! Hillary Clinton attended the gala this year, and she revealed that it was actually her first attendance in decades.
"I told Anna [Wintour] that I would come every 20 years, and I'm thrilled to be here this year!" Clinton told Vogue on the red carpet. "I think we're all happy to be back together, supporting the museum, and the Costume Institute, and also celebrating America. Not just the fashion of America, but really the spirit of America."
Clinton walked the red carpet in a deep-red Altuzarra dress. The gown was also embroidered with the names of American women who she said inspired her, including Abigail Addams, Sacagawea, Madeline Albright,...

Lorde will not be silenced. Despite previously releasing an album literally titled "Melodrama," the singer recently found herself the subject of a meme poking fun at the many times she's dramatically shushed her audience during a cappella performances of "Writer in the Dark," putting a finger to her mouth to silence the crowd as they attempted to join in. Following various responses, Lorde opened up about having the meme go viral at a Chicago concert on April 23.
"There's been a meme about me," she announced onstage, eliciting huge cheers from the crowd. "For those of you who don't know, several years ago, I put out a song, and I used to like to sing it a cappella, and off the mic," she explained. "I was like 19, you know, very dramatic, a lot of feelings," she said. "The internet has decided that this was very bad and very rude.

One of the more obvious candidates for his own series is the DC Universe’s new linchpin Batman (sorry Supes), as portrayed by Ben Affleck.
We all expected that Affleck’s Batman would eventually get his own solo outing, and surprising precisely no-one that’s been shaping up to be the case. Affleck is reportedly in talks to write and direct his very own Batman trilogy, which would see the actor under the cowl for at least another ten years. Obviously this all depends on the performance of Dawn Of Justice but a new Bat-trilogy...

It’s not long now before Brmc release their new live album/DVD, Live In Paris. It’s also accompanied by a documentary called 33.3%, made by Yana Amur, which will offer a look at the band behind the scenes. To any Brmc fan, this is just another chance to learn more about a band they love.
From first exploding on to the scene with 2001’s ‘Black Rebel Motorcycle Club’ all the way up to 2013’s Spectre At The Feast, the band have treated their loyal fans to a varied back catalogue that other bands would kill for. Oozing with creativity and a style they’re known for, there’s only one Black Rebel Motorcycle Club.
To some, their favourite band is that: a band. But to others, it’s a religion – Brmc just have one of those fan bases. These fans don’t just listen to the band; they live it.

Very few scores are as integrally entwined with their movie’s reputation as John Williams’ music for Star Wars. His cues for the original film are often called upon as the quickest shorthand to evoke the saga, to trade on its tone and atmosphere. I find it hard to think of Vader’s helmet – I was going to say face, but I caught myself – without the Imperial March striking up in the back of my brain-pan.
So it was almost unthinkable that Episode VII not have a John Williams score. He seemed to be the single most essential human being to the making of that film – indeed, the removal of George Lucas was held up as important, but even that didn’t feel as crucial. You *can* make Star Wars with George Lucas, as much as factions of the core fandom might want you not to.

In the aftermath of the 2015 Oscars, the internet’s been abuzz with discussion. Did Birman really deserve to win Best Picture? Is it right to applaud rich actresses for talking about a pay divide? Is John Travolta really that out of touch? Should you ring your parents?
But, more so than any of those, what had everyone talking was Neil Patrick Harris’ hosting. Namely, how he seemed to let everyone (read: Twitter) down. But in all the condemning of racially tricky jokes (getting the star of The Help to perform a night-long menial task) and awkward delivery, one big part of the night has been overlooked – his prediction trick.
Well known as a fan of magic (he’s President of the Board of Directors of Hollywood’s Magic Castle and repeatedly called on his hobby for How I Met Your Mother), everyone expected Harris to do some dazzling feat of the mystic.

When the blockbuster movie was born in the late 70s, the stonking, foot stomper theme was in its prime. This is when John Williams made his name with scores for Jaws, Superman and Star Wars. The modern superhero boom can arguably be traced back to 1989’s Batman, and again, there was a memorable, hummable, infectious theme, this time courtesy of Danny Elfman.
But more recently, the glut of superhero pictures hasn’t produced anything like the same calibre of ‘hit themes.’ Iron Man has no big character theme, Thor neither, and Chris Nolan’s Batpictures don’t really scratch that itch at all.
But Man of Steel almost does. It’s not comparable to John Williams’ Superman theme, but Hans Zimmer did definitely offer up some kind of hook and tied it to Jor-El.
Now he’s starting work on the music for Batman v Superman, and according to the man himself,...

It’s another year and another Oscar ceremony has come and gone. Yes, everyone’s got an opinion about whether or not Birdman was deserving of Best Picture, but typically the most interesting aspect of the show isn’t who wins which awards, but what random surprises the show’s producers pull out of the bag, be it by way of unexpected “cameos”, elaborate song and dance numbers, and the beautiful simplicity of wealthy people getting drunk on live TV.
While this year’s ceremony itself didn’t have the pizza delivery madness or mega selfie shenanigans of last year’s show, it was still full of memorable moments, ranging from the bizarre and surreal, to genuinely affecting and even hilarious. While the ceremony still feels wildly bloated out with commercials and needlessly lengthy asides, at least this year’s telecast reminded everyone of the show’s unpredictability,...

After months of build-up, the Oscars have finally been and gone. It’s like Christmas, except that the Oscar hype drags out even longer than the endless commercialism of the holiday.
Thankfully, it’s a rather fun ride – as long as you don’t take it as a genuine measure of a movie’s quality, you can have a whale of a time with the Academy Awards, pouring over the bookies odds and speculating what each previous award ceremonies says about who the golden baldies will ultimately go to.
Sure, it’s all very predictable – aside from the big prize itself, most of the awards were guessable the moment the nominees were announced – but that’s why every effort is put into making the ceremony itself as entertaining as possible. This year, it was Neil Patrick Harris’ turn to entertain billions, and thanks to some well planned...
