Accidents abounded today as news of a mishap at the Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" spread and winter weather caused some mayhem. Tom Felton, for instance, has been having a bad run of driving luck, but it does sound like he's okay.

I try to keep Twitter-Wood chiefly focused on movies-related tweets, but today Quinton Aaron of "The Blind Side" post a pic from his first week shooting on "One Tree Hill" and Gillian Jacobs got up close and personal with her favorite bathroom door on the "Community" set, so certain allowances had to be made.

Leslie Nielsen's death prompted a full day's worth of reactions in Twitter-Wood today, both from fans respectful enough not to call him "Shirley" and those who thought he would prefer to be remembered by that name. Dane Cook dedicated a show to him, while Brian Posehn shared his favorite Nielsen anecdote, and Olivia Wilde just plain misses him.

The "Star Wars" community experienced a loss as well, though, with the passing of "Empire Strikes Back" director Irvin Kershner. John Hodgman, Brian Lynch and Kyle Newman all contributed perspectives on their accounts, and Nathan Fillion shared some Christmas tree ornaments that Kershner might have appreciated.

Neil Gaiman's readers know that he's a smart guy. He proved himself once more today, however, by securing plane tickets to the U.K. through two different routes, just in case the volcano ash becomes an issue. The recent eruption in Iceland has been a pain for main a Twitter-Wood citizen over the last week, and I think volcanoes may get overlooked by a lot of them during Earth Day commemorations tomorrow. Then again, some tweeters like Brian Lynch don't seem too enthusiastic about Earth Day anyway.

With so many sports being played at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, it may be hard to decide what to watch. Thankfully, Rainn Wilson covered curling, Jeremy Piven and Richard Kelly contemplated ice dancing, and Peter Facinelli broke down bobsledding in the Twitter-Wood feed today, I think NBC would be well served to bring any of them on board.

In other news, Brian Lynch predicted the immediate consequences of Walmart buying download movie service Vudu, and sometimes I can't decide if he's being sarcastic or serious. The Winter Olympics have been entertaining plenty of Twitter-Wood citizens this week, but they've also been interfering with Seth Meyers' ability to understand who the captured Taliban leader Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is. Furthermore, they'll be going up against "Lost" on Tuesday night, but Damon Lindelof officially shrugged off the competition yesterday.

As for Kevin Smith's public Twitter tussle with Southwest Airlines over the weekend, plenty of his fellow tweeters have stepped up in support, including film critic Roger Ebert. At least one of Taylor Lautner's "New Moon" co-stars doesn't sound too impressed with the actor's new project "Valentine's Day," despite the fact that the film has more headline-worthy casting choices than a Robert Altman movie. (That's a joke because "A Prairie Home Companion" and "Short Cuts" both had big casts, too.)

Elsewhere, talk of a "Watchmen" sequel kicked up a few tweets, though the vocal ones haven't been too receptive thus far. Team Jacob takes on an entirely different meaning if you happen to be a "Lost" follower. One "Twilight" actress has been evaluating whether or not she wants to cross over, though. She wasn't wasn't alone, as Twitter-Wood made their allegiances and alternative lack of interests known last night.

In other tweets, Snooki from "Jersey Shore" popped up again today after posting a slew of TweetPhotos from an MTV event last night. She's evidently made a new friend in Brody Stevens of "The Hangover." Those posts, in addition to director Kyle Newman's thoughts on re-told superhero origins in movies, Rip Torn and Nathan Fillion's dream from last night will all appear for you after the jump in Twitter-Wood for February 3, 2010.

Scott Brown's win in the race for Ted Kennedy's U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts drew varying reactions in Twitter-Wood today. Rainn Wilson gave the election results a thumbs down. Candace Cameron gave them a thumbs up. And David Pressman thinks that Scott Brown is sexy.

In non-political controversial discussion, the recent rainstorms hitting Los Angeles have provoked predictable commentary on how residents there have no idea how to drive. Since rain in L.A. is so rare, many drivers have problems staying in control on wet Hollywood pavement. Nathan Fillon says Stan Lee is not one of them, however. If someone in the Twitter-Wood feed hasn't tweeted a link to an organization accepting donations for Haiti, they've probably posted a question asking where they can donate, as "Twilight" actor Alex Meraz did today. His "New Moon" co-star Rachelle Lefevre, meanwhile, sent TwitcPic'd a shot straight from the blood center where she want to donate some blood. Yet another "Twilight"-er, Ashley Green posted a pic as well, but I really can tell you much more about it beyond the fact that she's wearing a crown.

The other big stories of the week remained all over the feed today. Andy Milonakis praised Jimmy Kimmel's contributions to the Leno and Conan debacle, while another actor revealed who made him cry during "American Idol." Find out who that was, as well as who took home a gift from the wrap for Michel Gondry's "Green Hornet" and what Lee Unkrich had...

The "Scream 4" isn't even finished yet, and it's already a product of its time. According to his Twitter account, Kevin Williamson is giving screen-writing a go on his new Droid -- or at least inspiring him, depending on how you read the post.

On the other side of Twitter-Wood, there's far less ambiguity in Alyssa Milano, Michael Ian Black and Brian Lynch's tweets about Pat Robertson. The televangelist ruffled more than a few feathers yesterday with his suggestion that Haiti's massive earthquake was a result of the country making a deal with the devil. An earthquake in Haiti that reportedly topped 7.0 on the Richter scale shocked everyone on and off Twitter, with many linking to donation sites and posting hopeful thoughts. Rainn Wilson pondered a personal connection to those he visited recently.

In the U.S., Team Conan has been amassing supporters this week after the "Tonight Show" announced he wouldn't accept a move to the 12:05 slot to accommodate Jay Leno for NBC. Larry King and Dax Shepard both sided with a third party, though, in the Conan vs. Leno debate. Kevin Smith hit his Twitter account hard today in response to a comment made by Neil Patrick Harris about Smith's pal and frequent collaborator Jason Mewes. The discussion is summarized as neatly as possible in the three retweets I picked out, but you'd be well served to sift through the questions Smith has been answering all day. Nph chimed in later in the day on his own account with an apology.

In other Twitter-Wood exchanges today, Edgar Wright and Bryan Lee O'Malley teased their unreleased trailer for "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" and Brian Lynch and Diablo Cody pondered a mad plot to craft an "Empire Records" sequel. News that "Poltergeist" actress Zelda Rubinstein has been taken off of life support didn't go unnoticed by horror movie fans in the Twitter-Wood community this week. The sad revelation caught the attention of both Richard Kelly and Jeff Katz (on his birthday, nonetheless), and I definitely echo those sentiments to her family.

In other posts, attempted underwear bomb from last week is still a trending topic among tweeters. Kevin Nealon was among those contemplating the ongoing investigation yesterday. Somewhere in Hollywood there's a lonely Kindle lying in the middle of a street, and it belongs to Paul Feig. He requested that anyone finding it let him know via Twitter today, where posting was a bit slow due to many of the movie industry's tweeters being on vacation. There were still plenty of shout-outs both good and bad about "Avatar" and "Sherlock Holmes," though, the latter of which was so packed that even Nicky Hilton couldn't get in.

There needs to be a special award for Dave Coulier today, who linked to a re-lyric'd performance of a Taylor Swift song dedicated to Uncle Jesse from "Full House" -- and anyone who follows Twitter-Wood knows that I can't resist retweeting a good "Full House" post. Earlier today, we brought you an early edition of Twitter-Wood packed chock-full of celebrity praise for James Cameron's sci-fi epic, "Avatar." It's a much more tragic set of circumstances that brings me back to you with another Twitter-Wood early edition.

"Clueless" star Brittany Murphy left us suddenly over the weekend, the victim of a heart attack at the too-young age of 32. The breaking news resulted in an outpouring of grief and sympathy for Murphy's family from around the celebrity Twittersphere. I'll let the people who knew her take it from here...

Jason Reitman wasn't bluffing yesterday when he said he would be carrying the Olympic Torch through Toronto, and he's got a picture up to prove it today. Selecting the Twitter Pic of the Day wasn't easy this afternoon, considering Reitman's post was accompanied by Eliza Dushku's shot of the "Dollhouse" wrap party, a view of "New Moon" actress Christian Serratos' latest photo shoot and a 2003 photo from Roger Ebert that appears to show Bob Dylan with blond hair.

For those of you following the Edi Gathegi and Christian Serratos' exchanges of the last few days, there are two more to share today, including a photo proving that the two "New Moon" performers were able to connect. Gathegi may have even had to naked for the occasion, according to Serratos' account, but don't worry. The picture is totally Sfw.

Tom Hanks stepped into the recording studio for "Toy Story 3," meanwhile, and the film's diligent director Lee Unkrich documented their their session. Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" may be inheriting an entirely unexpected fanbase, according to an exchange today between creator Bryan Lee O'Malley and "New Moon" actress Anna Kendrick. Apparently O'Malley has seen his comic creation cited repeatedly with Kendrick's name attached more prominently than both his and Wright's.

One of the largest showings of single-topic tweets I've seen in Twitter-Wood since the death of Michael Jackson occurred yesterday afternoon with the appearance of a rainbow over Los Angeles. In the face of a week that's been dominated by Tiger Woods gossip, this was probably a welcome shift. New problems seem to have appeared, meanwhile, for John Stamos, who let his publicist step in and tweet a statement today following an extortion investigation. As any Twitter-Wood followers know, Stamos loves taking pictures with his fans, and it sounds like someone tried to blackmail Stamos with such images for unknown reasons.

It's been a long week for everyone in Twitter-Wood, especially for those involved with "New Moon." Someone at Mattel managed to sculpt out the abs on a Jacob Barbie doll in time for the film's release next week, though, and there's a pic in the feed today to prove it. Writer Brian Lynch, meanwhile, tweeted that the "Twilight" frenzy has stirred up cases of mistaken identity for him and prompted numerous friends to ask him how often he gets mistaken for the actor.

Jason Reitman seemed to have been hardest hit by the work week, though, seemingly passing out on his set. When "Twilight" cast members began tweeting about subjects involving missing clothing, I definitely did not expect to log on to Twitter today and find out that Christian Serratos decided to outdo all of them, but but her new garment-less PETA ad definitely succeeded.

Dane Cook and Ice-t, meanwhile, were less focused on saving fur and more intent on playing "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" this weekend, according to their posts, and at least one of them found himself in possession of some nightvision goggles. The Twitter-Wood feed started following its first canine today, as recent hacking victim and "Eclipse" actress Jodelle Ferland tweeted a pic referencing her dog "Genevieve Ferland." According to @gena_fur's Twitter account, Genevieve recently turned five, hates nail clippers and dressed as a princess last year for Halloween.

Lack of clothing was on the minds of two other "Twilight" series actors, though, as Tinsel Korey seems to have not yet found a dress for the "New Moon" premiere, and Charlie Bewley reported on his love of not wearing anything. Remarkably, I made none of this up. Cow films appear to be the official successor to the unseen prequels tag that was trending on Twitter earlier this week. Both Jon Favreau and Steve Agee made contributions today, while John August offered some criticism of ABC's new "V" series and Brian Lynch commemorated the 40th birthday of "Sesame Street."

In the "Twilight" neighborhood of Twitter-Wood, meanwhile, Peter Facinelli discussed an accidental oversleeping incident that resulted in a late arrival on-set. Halloween tweets were way more interesting this morning since everyone was posting actual photos instead of just being indecisive about what to wear. "Twilight" star Billy Burke took the crown for most authentic, though, with his Sid Vicious outfit. He pretty much nailed the Sex Pistols' late bassist.

"Toy Story 3" director, Lee Unkrich, meanwhile retweeted a few incoming photos he received of well crafted character costumes. Gwen Stefani stood out from the pack in that batch, doing Woody's gal pal Jessie from "Toy Story 2." Then there was Fred Durst, who appears to have put a leg up on December, posting a shot of the Christmas tree he just set up in his living room.
