Accidents abounded today as news of a mishap at the Broadway musical "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark" spread and winter weather caused some mayhem. Tom Felton, for instance, has been having a bad run of driving luck, but it does sound like he's okay.
Yesterday marked a sad anniversary, too, as Rose McGowan noted that it's been one year since Brittany Murphy's death. Her thoughts, as well as a shot of one of our favorite "Twilight" series actresses lending a hand at a Phoenix food bank, have been retweeted after the jump.

I try to keep Twitter-Wood chiefly focused on movies-related tweets, but today Quinton Aaron of "The Blind Side" post a pic from his first week shooting on "One Tree Hill" and Gillian Jacobs got up close and personal with her favorite bathroom door on the "Community" set, so certain allowances had to be made.
Outside of TV Land, Rose McGowan reacted to insinuations that people out there are dying from attempting to strap guns to their legs, while Danny DeVito offered advice about weed and pets, and Brian Lynch polled his followers with an important question related to Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson's breakup. Just in case you wanted a color pic to go with your shot of John Cusack in "The Raven" from earlier today, he tweeted a creepy accompaniment that you may wish to check out.
Elsewhere, Miley Cyrus is still grabbing attention with that bong video from last week, and Seth MacFarlane suggested how she might have avoided being identified. And speaking of uncomfortable moments, an alternate "Yogi Bear" ending that you're not likely to see in theaters has been making the tweet rounds and was passed along by Paul Scheer to his followers today. Leslie Nielsen's death prompted a full day's worth of reactions in Twitter-Wood today, both from fans respectful enough not to call him "Shirley" and those who thought he would prefer to be remembered by that name. Dane Cook dedicated a show to him, while Brian Posehn shared his favorite Nielsen anecdote, and Olivia Wilde just plain misses him.
The "Star Wars" community experienced a loss as well, though, with the passing of "Empire Strikes Back" director Irvin Kershner. John Hodgman, Brian Lynch and Kyle Newman all contributed perspectives on their accounts, and Nathan Fillion shared some Christmas tree ornaments that Kershner might have appreciated.

This week's "Green Lantern" trailer has been out in the world long enough to attract a range of reactions for the comics and mainstream crowds alike. Read what you will into James Gunn's assessment of the film, but he seems to think it would be better suited for Syfy.
As for the big theatrical release of the week, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" continues to be a hot topic in the Twitter-Wood feed. Did "Toy Story 3" frighten you? Well, one notable director got the heebie-jeebies from it, and his identity may surprise you. In the meantime, director Lee Unkrich posted a shot of Woody as he might have looked in the film if circumstances had been different.
Everyone in "Eclipse" is probably very satisfied with things just the way they are in regards to their movie's performance. Ashley Greene in particular had to share how she feels with everyone. You can see her audience shout-out after the jump along with what Olivia Wilde did for July 4 and who got to sit on Ricky Gervais' lap.

Today got downright catty on a couple of occasions in the Twitter-Wood feed. Christina Applegate got called something nasty in response to a World Cup-related remark she made, and Lindsay Lohan claimed to have taken a punch from a waitress.
Elsewhere, Spider-Man talk was all over the place following the announcement that Andrew Garfield will take over the role of Peter Parker in Marc Webb's new film. Garfield had a few vocal supporters, which is more than can been said of Mel Gibson. Find out what advice Seth Meyers offered to him after the jump. There, you'll also see Brian Lynch's reaction to "Eclipse" at the box office.

Not since Frankie Muniz's visit to a Jonas Brothers concert last August have the lads appeared in a Twitter Pic of the Day, but Danny DeVito contributed a true masterpiece today — and one that will surely please foot fetishists the world over.
On a more serious note, you probably all know by now that former Black Sabbath frontman Ronnie James Dio passed away yesterday. Twitter-Wood was certainly aware, and memories from Mandy Moore, Brian Posehn and William Zabka have all been duly retweeted after the jump. There, you can also find out which former "Star Trek: The Next Generation" actor contributed to "Red Dead Redemption," whose trip to Monaco got cancelled thanks to a volcano, and who bonded with Toby Kieth over a couple Dodgers games. Jon Favreau evidently keeps great cookies around at the "Cowboys and Aliens" rehearsal room. That's what Olivia Wilde tweeted, anyhow, and she's hoping they don't impact her ability to put on the super-tight costumes used in "Tron Legacy."

After you've seen the new "Eclipse" trailer you can head on over to Twitter where actress Christian Serratos has been hanging out with koalas and learning not to use the word "bear" to refer to them. She didn't seem too thrilled about the idea herself.
In other tweets, Alyssa Milano posted some photo evidence of her involvement with the NFL Draft. Michael Ian Black, meanwhile, wanted to see a different kind of draft on TV, and Frankie Muniz continued his adventure back into acting by starting work on his new movie "Pizza Man." Neil Gaiman's readers know that he's a smart guy. He proved himself once more today, however, by securing plane tickets to the U.K. through two different routes, just in case the volcano ash becomes an issue. The recent eruption in Iceland has been a pain for main a Twitter-Wood citizen over the last week, and I think volcanoes may get overlooked by a lot of them during Earth Day commemorations tomorrow. Then again, some tweeters like Brian Lynch don't seem too enthusiastic about Earth Day anyway.

Twitter-Wood reaches over to the U.K. as well as well as the U.S., and Nick Frost was none too thrilled with the airspace closures there that were caused there by the Eyjafjallajokull volcano in Iceland today. As it turns out, Neil Gaiman was personally affected as well.

With so many sports being played at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, it may be hard to decide what to watch. At least one of Taylor Lautner's "New Moon" co-stars doesn't sound too impressed with the actor's new project "Valentine's Day," despite the fact that the film has more headline-worthy casting choices than a Robert Altman movie. In other posts, attempted underwear bomb from last week is still a trending topic among tweeters. Kevin Nealon was among those contemplating the ongoing investigation yesterday. Catch those thoughts after the jump along with Brian Lynch on Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner, Christina Applegate and Emmy Rossum on James Cameron's work in "Avatar" and more in the Twitter-Wood report for December 30, 2009.

Somewhere in Hollywood there's a lonely Kindle lying in the middle of a street, and it belongs to Paul Feig. He requested that anyone finding it let him know via Twitter today, where posting was a bit slow due to many of the movie industry's tweeters being on vacation. There were still plenty of shout-outs both good and bad about "Avatar" and "Sherlock Holmes," though, the latter of which was so packed that even Nicky Hilton couldn't get in.
There needs to be a special award for Dave Coulier today, who linked to a re-lyric'd performance of a Taylor Swift song dedicated to Uncle Jesse from "Full House" -- and anyone who follows Twitter-Wood knows that I can't resist retweeting a good "Full House" post. Check it out after the jump along with Kevin Smith's outlook on "Iron Man 2" and Brian Lynch's evaluation of his Wikipedia profile.

Earlier today, we brought you an early edition of Twitter-Wood packed chock-full of celebrity praise for James Cameron's sci-fi epic, "Avatar." It's a much more tragic set of circumstances that brings me back to you with another Twitter-Wood early edition.
"Clueless" star Brittany Murphy left us suddenly over the weekend, the victim of a heart attack at the too-young age of 32. The breaking news resulted in an outpouring of grief and sympathy for Murphy's family from around the celebrity Twittersphere. I'll let the people who knew her take it from here...
@ParisHilton So sad to hear about Brittany Murphy, such a tragedy. She was such a beautiful, funny and sweet girl. My heart goes out to her family.
-Paris Hilton, Actress ("The Hottie and the Nottie," "House of Wax")
@peterfacinelli Brittany Murphy... U were Bold, Brave, and Beautiful. Thank you 4 being the free spirit u were, and always...

Jason Reitman wasn't bluffing yesterday when he said he would be carrying the Olympic Torch through Toronto, and he's got a picture up to prove it today. Selecting the Twitter Pic of the Day wasn't easy this afternoon, considering Reitman's post was accompanied by Eliza Dushku's shot of the "Dollhouse" wrap party, a view of "New Moon" actress Christian Serratos' latest photo shoot and a 2003 photo from Roger Ebert that appears to show Bob Dylan with blond hair.
Click on down, and you'll find all of those posts, as well as a few reactions to James Cameron's "Avatar," what Liv Tyler did inside Rainn Wilson's car and the celebratory gift Eli Roth plans on sending his fellow "Inglourious Basterds" actors in honor of their SAG Award nomination. It's all retweeted in the Twitter-Wood report for December 17, 2009.

For those of you following the Edi Gathegi and Christian Serratos' exchanges of the last few days, there are two more to share today, including a photo proving that the two "New Moon" performers were able to connect. Gathegi may have even had to naked for the occasion, according to Serratos' account, but don't worry. The picture is totally Sfw.
Tom Hanks stepped into the recording studio for "Toy Story 3," meanwhile, and the film's diligent director Lee Unkrich documented their their session. Check out all of those posts after the jump where you'll also find Simon Pegg's beef with Jar Jar Binks, Kat Dennings' new rule about seal impression etiquette and what Brian Lynch wants to see happen with the fourth "Twilight" movie. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for December 10, 2009.

Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" may be inheriting an entirely unexpected fanbase, according to an exchange today between creator Bryan Lee O'Malley and "New Moon" actress Anna Kendrick. Apparently O'Malley has seen his comic creation cited repeatedly with Kendrick's name attached more prominently than both his and Wright's.
One of the largest showings of single-topic tweets I've seen in Twitter-Wood since the death of Michael Jackson occurred yesterday afternoon with the appearance of a rainbow over Los Angeles. In the face of a week that's been dominated by Tiger Woods gossip, this was probably a welcome shift. New problems seem to have appeared, meanwhile, for John Stamos, who let his publicist step in and tweet a statement today following an extortion investigation. As any Twitter-Wood followers know, Stamos loves taking pictures with his fans, and it sounds like someone tried to blackmail Stamos with such images for unknown reasons.

It's been a long week for everyone in Twitter-Wood, especially for those involved with "New Moon." Someone at Mattel managed to sculpt out the abs on a Jacob Barbie doll in time for the film's release next week, though, and there's a pic in the feed today to prove it. Writer Brian Lynch, meanwhile, tweeted that the "Twilight" frenzy has stirred up cases of mistaken identity for him and prompted numerous friends to ask him how often he gets mistaken for the actor.
Jason Reitman seemed to have been hardest hit by the work week, though, seemingly passing out on his set. Check out that shot, along with with a "Star Trek" actor's brush with Neil Armstrong, Ice-t's run-in with Marilyn Manson and Fred Durst's plans for his "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" night-vision googles. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 13, 2009.

When "Twilight" cast members began tweeting about subjects involving missing clothing, I definitely did not expect to log on to Twitter today and find out that Christian Serratos decided to outdo all of them, but but her new garment-less PETA ad definitely succeeded.
Dane Cook and Ice-t, meanwhile, were less focused on saving fur and more intent on playing "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" this weekend, according to their posts, and at least one of them found himself in possession of some nightvision goggles. Check all of that out after the jump along with Danny Masterson's criticism for Andre Agassi, "Toy Story 3" director Lee Unkrich's favorite childhood toy and much more. I'm @brianwarmoth and this is the Twitter-Wood report for November 9, 2009.

The Twitter-Wood feed started following its first canine today, as recent hacking victim and "Eclipse" actress Jodelle Ferland tweeted a pic referencing her dog "Genevieve Ferland." According to @gena_fur's Twitter account, Genevieve recently turned five, hates nail clippers and dressed as a princess last year for Halloween.
Lack of clothing was on the minds of two other "Twilight" series actors, though, as Tinsel Korey seems to have not yet found a dress for the "New Moon" premiere, and Charlie Bewley reported on his love of not wearing anything. Remarkably, I made none of this up. Check it out, along with an award Arnold Schwarzenegger recently presented to Kirk Douglas, a scandalous "Full House" photo and the reason "Iron Man 2" will show up to theaters late if it gets delayed. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 6, 2009.

Cow films appear to be the official successor to the unseen prequels tag that was trending on Twitter earlier this week. Both Jon Favreau and Steve Agee made contributions today, while John August offered some criticism of ABC's new "V" series and Brian Lynch commemorated the 40th birthday of "Sesame Street."
In the "Twilight" neighborhood of Twitter-Wood, meanwhile, Peter Facinelli discussed an accidental oversleeping incident that resulted in a late arrival on-set. David Slade responded by thanking him for not ever being late during "Eclipse." Check out all of those tweets after the jump. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 4, 2009.

Halloween tweets were way more interesting this morning since everyone was posting actual photos instead of just being indecisive about what to wear. "Twilight" star Billy Burke took the crown for most authentic, though, with his Sid Vicious outfit. He pretty much nailed the Sex Pistols' late bassist.
"Toy Story 3" director, Lee Unkrich, meanwhile retweeted a few incoming photos he received of well crafted character costumes. Gwen Stefani stood out from the pack in that batch, doing Woody's gal pal Jessie from "Toy Story 2." Then there was Fred Durst, who appears to have put a leg up on December, posting a shot of the Christmas tree he just set up in his living room. Check out all of those, as well as reactions from the World Series, Rob Zombie and John Stamos. They're all waiting after the jump in the Twitter-Wood report for November 2, 2009.

The Twitter-Wood feed assembled after the jump is the fine work of Mr. Brian Warmoth, but he seems to have disappeared before finishing the evening's intro bump. So you're stuck with me, @geminibros, your friendly neighborhood MTV Movies Blog editor.
I may not have Brian's panache, but I can still fill you in on what's shaking in the Twitter-Wood today. Rob Zombie just wrapped up the audio commentary for the director's cut of "Halloween II," "Harry Potter" star Tom Felton decided on his Halloween costume -- I wholeheartedly approve -- and "Shaun of the Dead" writer/director Edgar Wright saw the Coen brothers' new one, "A Serious Man." I wholeheartedly approve of that as well. Meanwhile, Brian Lynch has the real scoop on the next "Spider-Man" villain and Sarah Silverman shares a downright baffling twitpic. Also, Tyrese Gibson shares his very special moment with Michael Jackson, clinching himself the top...
