"Bad Acting" Hysterical!!
grovejenn9613 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Oh My God...Major Spoiler alert. He wants to be an actor so bad. His "Bad Acting" in the first parts of the movie had me crying. First he auditions for the casting director who's trying not to laugh or kill herself because he's such a horrible actor, then he makes an acting tape of himself in a wheelchair like an Oscar winning movie like he's handicapped, then he gets the starring role in a movie because his dad owns the studio and that's the funniest scene for me. "It's Risky At Best" lmao! When he does the crappy acting take after take, I almost spit out my food. It was like an SNL skit. This actor is hilarious. What's also funny to me is some guy from Sweden posted on here that the "acting is so bad it's like porno actors." He doesn't even get it's on purpose lol.

I found the romantic parts a little cheesy and sappy but I'm mainly a comedy girl and not so much into the "chick flicks". But I can see what people see in the romantic stuff, it's a feel-good movie. What do you expect. Since it's funny too, gets a 7 in my book.

This is a coming-of-age movie for boys or immature adults
berman-jason20 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I am a 48 yr old man. I watched this movie with my boys, ages 11 and 13. The whole movie they're laughing their heads off, I'm sitting there shaking my head. My boys have watched this movie 4 times now and I'll admit it's grown on me in the way a stupid kid song grows on you. Adults who never "came of age" or adolescent boys will be drawn to this sophomoric humor because they can relate. The only other praise I'll give this movie is that it's doing a good thing for these kids (showing that if a man in his 30's who never grew up can still do it, you can too)and that the main actor is talented. As arrogant and entitled as his character starts out, he's a like-able guy and funny. I really don't care about rich people or their problems (and a lot of the stuff about the movie business was over my head)but he made the character interesting. The girl is a good actor too. I laughed out loud at a few parts, especially the restaurant. Once you know the character, the beginning parts become funnier, but the first time I saw it, I didn't laugh at any of the beginning scenes because I thought he was a pompous ass. Overall, job well done since according to all these posts, these people had no money. I read on IMDb that this filmmaker's next film is a western musical comedy. I think with a higher budget, this guy will make a much better film. And like with all things in life, he'll do much better because he's got this experience under his belt. Good little movie.

Not Great, Not Terrible
jamespatterson1891 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Some things are clear right off the bat. No money, no locations, etc. I don't want to put any spoilers in, but the two main actors have chemistry and make not just for a funny love story but also pull off a believable relationship by the end (No Spoilers here either).

This movie really reminds me of the Ryan Gosling movie with the blow-up doll. The main character is like a cross between Adam Sandler and Ryan Gosling and he kind of reminds me of Sam Rockwell in his quieter moments.

The two main leads are very good actors and honestly need to be doing projects that have more money behind them. Sometimes bad acting brings a project down. In this case, their good acting brought a zero-budget project up.

Warning: Spoilers
Song in Farm Scene:

Dear Olivia- Hello from warm and sunny paradise (dressed in army clothes) As I stroll these grounds the fragrance is nice (shovels horse-s**t) In my silk shay lounge I sleep all day (alarm goes off at 4:50 am) Call the maitre d I'll have the soufflé

The bird's in tune The bud's in bloom The light shines from the enchanting moon The Prince is here The help's in gear (fights with a snake, realizes it's a cord) A foot massage A lending ear

I'm learning skill-sets that you've never seen I've been so lucky in my mentoring (Olivia's dad watches Andrew rip his shirt on a post nail)

Flora and fauna are my true calling (accidentally cuts rose off) The Bougouse say its a trait of a king (lands face down in mud)

So bow to me my subjects (the dad shows him proper way to cut a vine) I know I'm great It's not too late to be just like me Yeah Yeah Yeah!

The townsfolk love me and they treat me well (runs naked thru vineyard, covers private parts with vines) We got each other's backs Don't ask Don't tell (Dad looks down at Andrew from top of hill, sees Andrew pretend to hump the dog. Andrew notices him watching and pretends that he's just petting him)

Just don't cross me and push me to fight The lights go out the night you meet my wicked right ((dad shows him how to punch) So bring Mai Tai's Let's have some fun (Cleans house inside/outside) Rock the house The work's all done Don't work too hard cause life is short (holds broom up on porch like Rocky) Kick up your feet The ship's in port Spread your wings and learn to fly (holds chest like he's out of breath) The time is now I will get by Oh where is the maitre d (Pissed off by alarm clock, turns and falls off bed)

"I'm Rich" song where Olivia teaches Andrew to be normal:

We don't live in a mansion Neither of us are a star We're famous to one another but no one else even knows who we are I'm shopping in the day time Black sweat pants and dark sunglasses Our disguise keeps us protected from the uninterested masses Making believe/We're a tabloid headline Supermarket Superstars Making a scene/ No cameras to catch us we speed away in a car Having a blast/ ? Ocean lost in the sand and the sea Making it last/ Supermarket Superstars another paparazzi We will make the top of the gossip column when I lean in to give you a kiss

FAVORITE SCENES

1. When he's trying to be the producer Bob Evans and have Dave do a documentary of him. 2. When he's being interviewed at the top of the pool slide. Absurd. 3. When he tries to show his acting talents in a wheelchair for his acting video because that's how all those actors in the 80's and 90's won Oscars. When he says "they'r retards. They win Oscars from Rain Man all the way to Sean Penn." "I don't think you can say that word anymore." "Sean Penn?" "Retards!" Classic. I know it's not PC but this was filmed before Tropic Thunder came out. 4. When he stars in a movie and can't act his way out of a paper bag. "It's Risky at Best!" 5. When he lives with the PinPin family and Tiny Lim (based on Tiny Tim from Christmas Carol). The two workers overhear about his belongings to rob him later. Then when Andrew acts like a bad ass, they teach him how to talk black and get laid, you can guess what happens. But he's hilarious the way he screams "why don't you lick my b**ls and suck my d**k cause you datin' a n**GA bio*ch!" 6. Every time Olivia runs into an actor, they go off on her. 7. When he pisses in the plant, his pants are all the way down like a 4 yr old. 8. Every time the old man smacks him in the face with the walking stick that he doesn't even need to help him walk. 9.. When he's trying to beat off but the computer dies, he uses a picture of the blind grandma to finish ROFL. That earns a stick hit to the face lol. 10. Both scenes with the fake security guards. 11. The whole farm sequence is good (not all meant to be funny but good) 12. BEST SCENE IN THE MOVIE: Restaurant scene 13. Serious scene where he gets out of bed on a mission and then Olivia asks why he has a string hanging out his ass. He holds up a tampon box and says "It says it absorbs the wetness." Whaaaaat? Genius. 14. "I've got a thousand dollars!" "Andrew, this loan's at 30% interest. 15. BEST ACTING IN THE MOVIE: When he breaks down crying and says goodbye to V-Man. I think he could act in serious movies cause he's really good. I cry at that part damn near every time. 16. When he rescues PinPin family dressed like a cowboy. 17. When all his charity buckets are empty. 18. When he doesn't know how to drive the Ferrari and the girl has to do it for him. 19. Bloopers at end credits

FAVORITE DELETED SCENES

1. When he and Leo are dressed like Daddy Warbucks/Annie and they sing the Annie song 2. Alley gang war between the old men. 3. When he falls down the pool slide fully clothed. 4. When he has all his temper tantrums. Wish they stayed in the movie.

I mostly agree with the independent critic Richard Propes about this movie. http://www.theindependentcritic.com/evolution_of_andrew_andrews He gave it a B but that was a very early cut of the movie. I give this movie an A. There are just too many layers.

sitting on the sidewalk counting cars is much much better than watching this
maxes9999 September 2013
I don't usually write reviews, but had to force myself to do it since all the reviews i see here are apparently written by film crew, otherwise can't believe that any sane person that is over 3 years would give this film any praise. There are so many terrible things i can say about this terrible waste of my time that i don't know where to start, actors are not really actors, it is like a bunch of kids who couldn't get into porn because of their bad acting, that's how their acting was, there is much better acting on youtube videos made by 13 year olds. the story is even worse than the acting, you can tell those people who made this film and wrote it are all some people who failed to make it in Hollywood and that what's going on in studios and casting rooms is all what their lives evolve around and their brains can think of. camera work, directing, etc..all sucks, and the still worst of all is when they are trying to be funny, you better have a bucket nearby in case you throw up.

Slow-paced indie that delivers
Bryanhowardhall10 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I'm brand new to this site and I'll admit that I read every review on here before I watched this movie. I should do it the other way around but I sometimes cheat lol. What I noticed about the reviews, and rightfully so, is that they are mostly about the movie in general, but not the main actor. But in this case, the movie (like all movies with the name of the character in the title) IS the actor. Will Klipstine is a great actor. It seems to me his character is misunderstood by some of these reviewers but the critic and other reviewers got it right. His character is very unlikeable in the beginning but as the movie progresses, we see a sheltered, vulnerable child who has zero experience in the real world. His oblivious pompous attitude in the first scenes set up his fall. What's endearing about him is that we discover that he never knew he came across as all those things. He is deeply humbled by external circumstances throughout the film and because of the character's emotional vulnerability, you start to root for him. That's great acting. His epiphany at the ranch and his goodbye scene to the doll are as good as any acting in ANY movie. And the scene when he's talking to his girlfriend (who's also a great actress), in bed is a great, intimate moment where Andrew reveals more about his character emotionally, not with dialogue. Someone already posted about the restaurant scene. Again, the actor is vulnerable, endearing, heartbreakingly childish, and hilarious all at once. I can't say enough about this no-name actor's talent and how impressed I am.

Cute
klipstine-318-31683115 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
My best friend and I saw the preview and she got the movie so I didn't buy it because I knew I would just borrow it from her (sorry movie makers:) My friend posted on the facebook page that this movie is the worst movie ever and it is unwatchable. Well maybe its because she hated on it so much that I thought it was cute. When it first started I thought oh god this is gonna suck like she said but it was cute. It takes time for the main guy to change and if you want everything to happen right away like in a big Hollywood movie then don't get this movie. But its cool how the character changes. Some of the jokes were gross but I thought when he dressed up like a gang member was funny. I think the actors did a good job and I think they should make more movies. The lead guy is cute and he's a better actor than most.

A story of a woman growing a boy up
molleegirl25 June 2016
Warning: Spoilers
New to this website and want to comment. This is a story of a woman growing a boy up. Why hasn't anyone pointed this out? I am pleasantly surprised. Once I got past the juvenile gags (which some are quite funny), I was quite touched by the relationship between Andrew and Olivia. The actress is the real glue here. The actor was strong but the actress was the movie for me. She was the strength for his character and turned him into a man by the end. Now that I think about it, the actor must be quite strong as well in order to change his character so much by the end. If I had to pick a negative, it would be that some humor is R-ish (but oddly I don't remember any bad language) and some is PG-13. If a studio made this film, it would have gone really strong in one direction or the other, not the middle. A 7-yr old could watch 97% of the movie. As an adult, I found the juvenile stuff endearing but as a parent, I would be hesitant for a kid under 10 or 11 to watch this because of two sexual moments that would be uncomfortable with little kids. I am a fan and will see this again.

Chit covered gold or gold covered chit
vegaray4513 September 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This is either the chittiest good movie of all time or the best chitty movie of all time. I'm leaning toward Chit covered gold. At first it looks like this is just crap but I was too lazy to stop watching it. Another poster on here said the second half of this movie is better than the first half but you have to get there. They are correct. I can tell these people had no money when they made it. And the two main people are good actors. Too bad they didn't have the money to pay the smaller actors. Some of them are alright. Either get high or drunk for the first half of the movie (unless you're in the movie business to get all the jokes) or be a 13 year old kid. The reason I say 13 is because this seems to me like a coming of age movie. The second half is actually pretty impressive. It's almost like the second half has to be so bad to set up the second half. It's not boring tho. You just hate the main guy until he changes. I read that his next movie is a western musical comedy that's like blazing saddles and three amigos. I actually think this dude can pull that off. He's funny. Lastly here's my spoiler: When he says bye to the doll, I actually choked up. I was like wtf. wasn't expecting that. I don't mean I wasn't expecting him saying bye, but that I wasn't expecting it to effect me like that. That's either on the writer or the actor, prolly the actor

Character Driven Stories
jimburnside1116 December 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I created an account just so I could leave this review. These are the movies I love. Why can't Hollywood make these movies? They came close with Billy Madison but it was too commercialized. One critic compared this to Lars and the Real Girl. I sort of agree. This has all the humor that Lars didn't. Lars felt more like a Slice of Life movie with a tidbit of humor but it had heart. This movie is more like a comedy with heart and a tinge of Slice of Life. I read negative comments on here about no action, boring, etc. This is a character study. It's about the "Evolution" of a character who changes drastically from the beginning to the end. My favorite thing about this movie is how different he is at the end of the movie from where he started. Great actor, Great character arc, good movie. I won't give it a 9 out of 10 because the filmmakers needed more coverage but since I know that's related to budget I won't dock them too much. I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves character studies like myself. We need more, Hollywood!!

The Problem With This Movie
hatfieldrich27 September 2013
Yeah, there's some funny scenes, but they wanted to be be so much more than they were. This is not a Hollywood movie. It's so obvious they didn't have money. I guess there's a huge difference between "Independent Films" that studios make with famous people and true Indies that the filmmakers pay for themselves.

I'll give the two main actors credit for being good actors, but nice try to the filmmakeers. There are some legit funny scenes in this movie, but I'm crediting the actors, not the filmmakers. This film looks cheap. Shout out to the main actor for holding together what little there is to hold. He has some solid moments mostly towards the end of the movie but that's why it's called "Evolution of..." so I get it. Maybe an 8th grader would relate to it more. If this thing really did win all those awards at film festivals, I don't want to see its competition. But kudos to the main guy. He's better than this.

"Re-re" scene bloody brilliant!!
jasonhansencof782 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Read on here a few comments about certain scenes. The most under- appreciated scene in this movie apparently is the scene where Andrew is making an "Acting Reel". He explains that an acting reel is a tape that showcases an actor's talent. This scene might even be too brilliant for its own good because I don't know how many people will get the dated references. I for one thought they were hilarious. First, he's doing Rain Man. Not that obscure. Then he's literally trying to eat sunny side up eggs with his left foot like Daniel Day Lewis in My Left Foot. But I lost my chit when he started playing the piano and yelled "It's a Mystery, It's a Mystery" ala Geoffrey Rush in Shine. Combine all of that with the fact that he's wearing a baby's bib around his neck, and an adult diaper (ON the outside of his pants lol!), sitting in a wheelchair, and it's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels/Simple Jack mixed with every "Re-Re"that's ever won an Oscar. Just don't ever go Full Re-Re. This dude's brilliant if he also wrote this scene which I believe he did. But if people haven't seen these old films they just won't get the references. Kinda surprised no one has mentioned this scene. Maybe people just think it's stupid lol. I don't know which movie was filmed first between this and Tropic Thunder but if this was first, kudos to them. If not, it's still effin' awesome!

Restaurant Scene
jeffunger3911 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
There are about 6 to 8 scenes that are comedic gold in this flick, and I don't want to give anything away but the restaurant scene is by far the funniest scene I've seen in a long time. He is so inexperienced and listening to him talk to the girl (I won't give details) is hysterical. This guy is so clueless that it's endearing. I enjoyed watching him but also all the funny scenes.

(SPOILER ALERT)

My favorite part about this film is how the actor changes from the beginning to the end. The farm scenes were fun but the farm is also where he changes, so that was cool to watch. It was pretty well done.

Warning: Spoilers
My uncle worked on this movie. This movie is a masterpiece and here is why: It has a great spirit and every time I see it I notice something new. Now I know all the words on the radio in the background in all the scenes by heart. Spoiler after spoiler so be warned. I'll try to go in order.

1. When Andrew gets kicked out of the house and moves in with Dave, there is a radio show always playing in Dave's house, which is funny because Dave is that kind of character. It's the "Todd Rankis show", making fun of the real life "Tom Leykus show" that teaches young guys how to win the war against women, stuff like get the most putang on a date for the least amount of money, etc. I never heard the real life show but here are the words in the background on the radio:

Host: You're listening to the Todd Rankis Show. Here's the Master himself, Todd Rankis! Caller: She had me thrown in jail for battery because I beat her. DJ Todd: Don't fall for THAT one.

(LATER IN THE SCENE) New Caller: Child Support... DJ Todd: Don't fall for THAT one. Caller: Alimony... DJ Todd: Don't fall for THAT one.

(LATER) New Caller: And then the bitch throws me in jail! Host: TODD...RANKIS! New Caller: Yeah Todd,I was just wondering if you could like tell me how to get girls to put out more.

(NEXT SCENE) Host: TODD...RANKIS! DJ TODD: Never spend more than $5 before the girl puts out. She needs to put out before the first date.

(NEXT MORNING) New Caller: I spent $23 on the date Todd. DJ Todd: Shame on you son. She's trying to trap you Brad. Caller: You the master T. DJ Todd: You're welcome apprentice.

(LATER) Host: RANKIS! The TODD RANKIS SHOW! New Caller: And I looked and uh she had uh I looked right down at it and she poked some holes in the condom. DJ Todd: Don't fall for THAT one.

(KITCHEN SCENE) Host: You're listening to 24 hours a day TODD RANKIS 365 a year SATELLITE RADIO! DJ Todd: Listen, no matter how bad she tries to get you to hit her, it's just another ploy. New Caller: I spent $23 on the date Todd. DJ Todd: Don't fall for THAT one.

2.When the taxi driver (who is the same guy who robbed Andrew at the ATM and took me forever to get that) is giving Andrew a ride to Leo's, this is what is playing on the radio:

BOOK ON TAPE FAIRY TALES Narrator: "You're not grand mama" she exclaimed...and she walked through the forest...And she felt her knees quake...her knees...buckled...And she walked up to the door...the door slowly creaked open. "YOU'RE not grand mama"...the porridge was cold. LOL

3. The first scene in the PinPin family shop, this is the rap song that is playing in the background radio while Andrew is ruining everything:

You ain't nut-tin' but a noddy ho Gonna put ya doggy on the Flo Spank yo ass and make ya beg fo mo Tie ya up and roll ya in my dough Fo Sho....Put yer booty in it...put yer booty in it

Put yer spread on my toast you can be my rump roast I'm the wolf to your lamb you the jelly I'm the jam

I'm the nutta to ya butta the yeast to your cream the stank to your stink yer the sweat I'm the steam Oh look out! (Pop comes with stick) Here it comes yo (SMACK to his face) OH! Put yer booty in it...Put yer booty in it

(LATER SCENE IN SAME SHOP WHEN THEY TEACH ANDREW HOW TO ACT BLACK TO GET WOMEN)

Put yer booty in it...Put yer booty in it.. (after he tells Andrew how to get a girl) Oh your ass knocks me out girl Oh your ass knocks me out girl! (This cracks me up the most because this is while the guy tells Andrew to pull his pants down around his ankles, put the scarfs in his pant pockets, bandanna on his head, and gyrate to attract the female.) (Next thing on radio comes right after he shows Andrew how to speak Jive and tells him to say "You can lick my b**ls and suck my d**k because you dating' a n**GA biotch!)On radio:No seriously girl...slap me in the face...with your ass cheeks...until I'm unconscious.

(LATER THAT NIGHT AT TABLE) Rap on radio, sounds a little like Snoop:

You don't think I'm gonna give in to the long tooth He be saying' I belong like a Baby Ruth In Minnesota there's a town that they call Deluth When I's a pup my daddy caught me playing' on the roof There ain't no way I'm gay you gangstas ain't got the proof This dog'll top you just to prove that he ain't no poof. (After dad comes out of bathroom the radio in the background comes back)

Host: Yo. This is Pete Tommy Dogg and yer listnin' to KRAP Radio. K-RAP 93.2 FM.

(If you listen closely, you can tell the same Todd Rankis stuff is also playing in the background)

Gonna have to finish on another post, too many words.

$40k Broad Physical Comedy!
klindon-3840014 June 2023
I like broad comedy, but more than that I like talent (no matter the genre). Not sure what I'm more impressed with-that they did a movie for 40K (according to budget on IMDb) or that it was a broad slapstick comedy, a rom-com, and a coming-of-age all wrapped up in one.

I didn't like the main character at first until I realized what a bubble came out of (and how ridiculous he actually was) and how he slowly developed into an actual real human being after interacting with someone other than a weird-looking E. T. doll. Overall, I legit belly-laughed at least 5 times. I don't like to drop spoilers so I won't list the moments. Plus everyone's taste is different.

You start off with this "kid" who has probably never even put his own ketchup on his burger and go from there to "adulthood" in the most absurd, ridiculous manner, all while being guided by a saint (a great actress that I've never seen in anything else).

What drove me to this movie was the lead actor Will Klipstine from another film. His acting in this movie is completely opposite. Good range.

This is a movie that no one will ever see. But should! For 40K it deserves a 100 out of 10. Highly recommend if you like absurd comedy and/or broad physical comedy and/or juvenile romance.

Not Sure At First
Hands197310 March 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I saw the trailer on youtube and it reminded me a little of The Jerk or Billy Madison. This movie looked kind of stupid or for teens and I'm in my 30's but I read the review by the independent critic so I tried it.

Here's the thing: I started this movie and right away, I was not too impressed. The main character is a spoiled rich kid (why should I care) and some of the humor was too immature, whatever. But the actor is really good and his "Bad Acting" was hilarious. Even having said that I would give the first half of this movie a 6.

This movie really starts getting good half way through (spoiler alert) when Andrew walks in to the office wearing the tutu and for the rest of the movie is with the girl. She is a great actress and makes this movie a really likable romantic comedy from that point on. The main actor really turns on the likability factor at that point as well and his scene with the doll towards the end blew me away with how good his acting was.

The whole movie I was wondering where the plot was going or how they were going to wrap it up. When the final credits rolled (which are worth watching because of the bloopers) I found myself feeling like I just watched a funny, cute, feel-good type of movie. If you don't like sentimental or sappy you may not like it but they put enough humor in there to cover the sap (mostly). Because I give the second half of the movie a 10 and the first half a 6, I'll give the overall movie an 8.

I showed the trailer to a friend of mine who said it's not her taste but I explained the romantic part and we watched it together. She agreed that the second half of the movie is better (more romantic) but I actually liked the 1st half better than the first time I watched it. I think this movie grows on you and I think it's because of the two main actors. I noticed some good subtle facial expressions in the acting that I didn't catch the first time. Usually movies that improve upon multiple viewings have a chance at becoming cult favs.

Silly and Sweet Comedy
shawnalrea2 January 2012
This is a super-cute film, which I think any adult would enjoy, especially anyone who's ever acted or been a struggling actor. Sometimes in independent films the acting isn't great, but the performances here are all excellent, especially by leads Will Klipstine and Amy Mills, as well as the supporting characters and a few cameo performances. I love a movie that can make me laugh and cry, especially if it's at the same time, and this movie managed to do that. My favorite thing about the film is watching the relationship between the two leads unfold. Mills is captivating as a non-nonsense casting director who seems to detest grovelling actors, but who has a soft spot for the worst of them all. Klipstine is skilled at playing a character who seems too goofy to take seriously in the beginning, but then becomes impossible not to love. Not only are the performances great, but the storyline plays out well and keeps you invested throughout the whole film, with many silly and sweet moments along the way. Highly recommend this film!!

Outstanding first time movie.
wilhelm-707-6010709 June 2013
At my first viewing of Evolution of Andrew Andrews I was not impressed. The humor of Evolution of Andrew Andrews is not really my cup of tea but the acting was absolutely superb. I followed it through several different edits at several different film festivals. I not only saw the growth in the characters but a growth in the over all story line. Following the journey of the spoiled Andrew from child like innocents to capable adult success, despite many hilarious setbacks, takes the hand of the viewer in a way that is exceptional in comparison to the normal Hollywood experience. Although obviously an Indy, the humor was richly fresh. Even the out takes are hilarious. This movie must be seen several times and each time something new about the characters comes out.

The Evolution of Andrew Andrews is by all definitions an "indie" movie. It doesn't have special effects or big names. But it has a fresh voice and a unique vision. The movie was written and produced by the stars and is quite obviously a labor of love. And a labor of laughs. On the surface it reads like a goofy comedy a la Adam Sandler. Yes, there are some gross out moments and plenty of belly laughs. And the lead character of Andrew can give Billy Madison a run for his money. But as the movie goes on you realize the heart that underlies the comedic tone. The two leads have great chemistry and it is easy to get invested in their budding love story. It is a movie for all ages and one that is sure to put a smile on any face.

Great Indie Film

It's so obvious that this film is a labor of love. The two leads wrote, directed and produced this and that very well could be the explanation for the genuine spark and excitement that translates on screen. It's a hero story, from start to finish, with Andrew Andrews going through the typical, "You've been cut off!" scenario, to an a- typical response and storyline. There are some seriously funny moments in this film and I liked it that, in the midst of all of the comedy, there was a heartwarming love story and transformation of the main character. One of the final scenes with the main character working on the ranch is one of those beautiful, authentic moments of life somehow caught on film. Watch it!

Funny, funny movie

Funny, funny movie! This movie was recommended to me by a friend and I'm not really into smaller movies but this is so well written and the actors are great. Looking forward to seeing what other projects these guys are doing. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes comedies and to anyone who likes a good story. These guys have a lot of talent and I can see them coming out with other stuff just as good. I love comedies that have heart and this movie does. This movie is a breath of fresh air. When you get to know who Andrew is in the movie, you can't help but to root for him. All the co- stars are funny too. great cast.

enjoy the ride

I was fortunate enough to catch an earlier screening of this charming little gem at a film festival. Undoubtedly a labor of love – since both the male and female main characters wrote, produced, directed and acted in the film as well as everything else (hey, did they make their own costumes and sets too? Probably!! The talent is obviously there!) – it is the love shining through the laughter than keeps the film moving. The humor is broadly drawn and some of the subplot probably makes more sense to those familiar with the oddities of film making in Hollywood. But even without insider knowledge, this is a funny movie. The absurd coming of age storyline of Andrew is knee-jerk hilarious and showcases the range and versatility of a gifted comedic actor willing to literally do anything to get his point across. Andrew - the little boy in a man's body - embodies all the innocence, wonderment and also all the irritating questioning of your average 4-year-old. His unlikely love interest, Olivia, grounds the film quietly and securely, delivering a luminous nuanced performance. Olivia's character connects with practically any woman who understands that love sometimes means holding the kite string of reality while her man bounces around in the air like a helium-filled balloon. In one pivotal scene, where Olivia is trying to decide whether to listen to her head or her heart, you can literally see the wheels whirring in the depths of those big expressive eyes as she contemplates …"Is this guy worth it?" Fortunately for Andrew – and for the audience – the answer is a resounding "Yes!" See this movie. You will laugh. You will gasp. You will grin. You will feel your heart flutter. You will find yourself remembering certain comedic bits long afterward. And you will certainly not regret it.

This Flick is Outstanding

Warning: Spoilers
This is the best Indie comedies ever!! The juxtaposition of a young hollow-head with a group of cold hard headed professionals proves that one person - despite mental limitations - can have more heart than experts in the entertainment industry. It's worth noting that Andrew Andrews, although devoid of most common sense brings to the viewer an enjoyable adventure of trials and personal development that is certain to amuse even the most skeptic of indie comedies. Will Klipstine really delivers in his portrayal of Andrew Andrew's many odd personalities and transformations. This is a movie definitely worth watching over and over again! Hilarious!!
