Charlize Theron is back in action at Netflix with the long-awaited graphic novel adaptation sequel “The Old Guard 2.” And this time? She’s joined by “Kill Bill” action star alum Uma Thurman.

“The Old Guard 2,” which will be released five years after the first film, has been in the throes of production delays at the streamer. Lead star Theron, who also produces the feature, told Variety in 2024 that it was due to the “changeover” at Netflix that in part led to the film’s post-production being shut down; the feature wrapped filming in 2022.

Now, “The Old Guard” is new again.

And yet, for all its derivative aspirations, Rr is a fiercely original piece of cinema, crafted with compelling concentration and impassioned intuition.

Vanity Fair has released the first images from Dexter: Resurrection, the upcoming sequel series set after the events of Dexter: New Blood. Dexter met his fate at the end of New Blood, a controversial decision that still doesn’t sit well with many Dexter fans to this day, but Hall told Vanity Fair in a sweeping interview to talk about the new show that Resurrection will “undo” the New Blood ending, bringing back the legendary serial killer who only hunts other killers.
