Pink Floyd are in “advanced talks” with Sony Music to sell their back catalog for about $500 million, the Financial Times reports.
According to the Financial Times, the sale would include hits from the past 50 years like “Money,” “Wish You Were Here,” and “Another Brick in the Wall.” However, the report cautions that “there is no guarantee of an agreement this time given the past problems.”
Get David Gilmour Tickets Here
The update comes after David Gilmour recently told Rolling Stone it would be a “dream” to sell Pink Floyd’s catalog and get out of the “mud bath” — likely referencing his contentious relationship with former bandmate Roger Waters. In just one relatively recent example of their decades-long tension, Gilmour described Waters as a “misogynistic, antisemitic, Putin apologist” in 2023.
Pink Floyd began exploring a catalog sale in 2022, but those discussions fell apart due to band in-fighting and Waters’ incendiary comments about Ukraine and Israel.

Even though Deadpool & Wolverine reignited the love that fans had for superheroes, there is no denying that there has been an evident shift in the way Hollywood views the genre. Some of the most respected figures in the industry have been critical of the films that Marvel and DC release, and the points that they raise are not without reason.
Many have started to agree with Martin Scorsese’s famous words, believing that the films have started to feel more like theme-park rides made for the spectacle than something stemming from passion and expression. Recently, Michael Keaton revealed his thoughts on the canceled Batgirl film, and his comments did not help this statement.

It’s hard to believe it took network TV audiences more than a full season to pick up on the burning brilliance of Greg Daniels’ “The Office.”
On March 25, 2005, the pilot episode of a mockumentary series about a paper company in Scranton, Pennsylvania debuted to just over 11 million viewers in the United States. The show wasn’t immediately acclaimed, with numerous TV critics arguing the so-called remake failed to adequately justify itself in Season 1.
Yes, the history-making NBC sitcom seemed at first like little more than a bastardization of the popular U.K. series, created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant in 2003. But for audiences lucky enough to binge the show in the streaming age, already knowing what it and its myriad talents (Mindy Kaling! B.J. Novak! Rainn Wilson! John Krasinski!) would become, the lovable goofs of Dunder Mifflin had us at jello.

Bold and the Beautiful has Poppy Nozawa answer the door to a pizza delivery that instantly turns rancid on the CBS soap. While Tom looked like a homeless guy down on his luck, the layers now peel back to reveal someone rather nosey and most likely sleazy.
Plus, Poppy didn’t realize being the new queen of Bill Spencer’s castle meant an open-door policy to problems. But B&b spoilers suggest the parade continues of unwanted visitors coming through that revolving door.
Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: Tom Rattles Poppy Nozawa
Despite Tom (Clint Howard) arriving with the best pizza in town, Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) doesn’t have an appetite for it, once getting a look at the delivery guy. She didn’t even order the pizza, which Tom likely used as a ploy to get past the guard at the gate.

A little more than two months following the end of Wrestlemania Xl, the rings of professional wrestling look set for a slew of events starting from Money in the Bank to Summer Slam. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes, currently holding the Undisputed WWE Title following his title clash with Roma Reigns has long positioned himself as a top babyface with his heroic, fan-favorite avatar bringing in loud cheers every time that he upholds socially accepted principles in the ring.

On the other side of the spectrum, The Tribal Chief has missed a significant chunk of time away from action after he withdrew himself from consideration just hours before the 2024 WWE Draft. Mama June Shannon Soon Celebrates 5 Years Sober
The WeTV show revealed that Alana Thompson’s mom, June claimed her daughter wasn’t ready for college. However, it seems that she only said that because the money for college wasn’t in the bank account. When she ran off with Geno Doak on a drug spree, probably, some of it was wasted. Pat Sajak bid farewell to “Wheel of Fortune” on Friday night, but before he left, he had a parting gift for his final contestants on the show: $5,000 extra.
Before the first round of the night properly began, Sajak noted that, as everyone already knew, it was his final show. He added that he had some words he wanted to say before he left, meaning the game would cut one round of play to ensure there was enough time.
However, Sajak noted that “kind of robs you people,” so, to make up for it, he decided to spin the wheel himself and vowed to add an extra $1,000 to whatever he landed on for each contestant. He then proceeded to land on the $1,000 tile, meaning all three would get $2,000.
“You know what? It’s not my money,” Sajak teased. “Let’s give ’em all $5,000 right now. Little Jimmy’s surgery can wait!

Why do fans think that Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson is lying about “missing money” all of a sudden? Viewers watched as Mama June handed over the paperwork to Alana and her sister, Pumpkin. This showed what she had remaining in her Coogan account. Yet, is Alana not being completely transparent? Keep reading for more details.
Why Fans Think Alana Thompson’s Lying About ‘Missing Money’
Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson believed that she had six figures in her Coogan account which her mother managed. She needed these funds so she could pay her college tuition at Regis University in Colorado. Though she had gotten a scholarship, it was not enough for the whole year. What was remaining in the account was $33K and Alana was livid. Mama June kept making excuses but she essentially used it for her addiction while Alana paid for her own bills since she was a kid.

In the "Futurama" episode "Attack of the Killer App", the Planet Express crew becomes rabidly enamored of a new piece of consumer electronics, the eyePhone, an eyeball-mounted social media browsing widget released by the evil MomCorp. The episode's writer, Patric Verrone, was careful to lampoon the fervor that accompanied Apple's iPhones in real life, pointing out that any scarcity is manufactured, and that consumers tend to be a little too cavalier with the object's inexplicably high price. A store employee tells Fry (Billy West) that the eyePhone costs $500, and also that "you have no choice of carrier, the battery can't hold a charge, and the reception isn't very —" Fry interrupts him by screaming "Shut up and take my money!"

Pedro Alonso, much like Berlin, the character he plays in Money Heist, is distinguished, charming and charismatic. The success of the Netflix crime series has made the Spanish actor a global star and his fame has only gone up since the launch, on Dec. 29, of Money Heist prequel Berlin, in which he reprises his role as the conniving, manipulative thief who is also a hopeless romantic.
Alonso admits to feeling “vertigo” at the level of media exposure that came with the international success of Money Heist but says he doesn’t worry about being typecast in the role. Instead, he sees the chance to return to Berlin in the spin-off series a “vital gift [both] narrative and professional.”
THR Roma spoke to Alonso about why Berlin is as much a romantic comedy as a crime thriller, the “paradox” of its central character, who is both a romantic and “an emotional terrorist...

As we welcome in the New Year, we can reveal our annual (non-exhaustive) list of U.S. and international movies we think could grace the festival circuit in 2024. We’ve stuck to our criteria that the project must already be in production and have not already been announced for a festival. More than 70% of our selections last year went on to debut at a major festival. Those that didn’t were largely delayed by the strike or are still in post-production. If the titles below make the cut, it will be a thrilling year on the festival circuit once again.

Two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts has joined the cast of “Emmanuelle,” Audrey Diwan’s highly anticipated erotic drama, Variety has confirmed.
Diwan’s follow-up to the Venice-prizewinning “Happening,” the film is inspired by Emmanuelle Arsan’s novel and is based on a script co-developed by Diwan and Rebecca Zlotowski (“Other People’s Children”). The book centers on a woman and the series of erotic fantasies that she entertains. It was previously made into a 1974 film of the same name, directed by Just Jaeckin and starring Sylvia Kristel, which became a cult hit.
Watts revealed the news when she posted a now-deleted Instagram Story with “Emmanuelle” co-star Noemie Merlant, a critically acclaimed French actor who broke through in Céline Sciamma’s “Portrait of a Lady on Fire” and made her English-speaking debut in Todd Field’s Oscar-nominated film “Tar.” Merlant plays the titular role in “Emmanuelle.” The rest of the cast comprises...

Exclusive: Production has wrapped in Paris on Audrey Diwan’s (Happening) anticipated erotic drama Emmanuelle, which stars Noémie Merlant (Portrait Of A Lady On Fire) in the title role.
We can reveal an exclusive first look at the English-language movie, which will also star two-time Oscar nominee Naomi Watts (Mulholland Drive) opposite Merlant, Will Sharpe (The White Lotus) as the male lead, Jamie Campbell Bower (Stranger Things), Chacha Huang (Money Heist) and Anthony Wong (Infernal Affairs).
Inspired by the character and world created by writer Emmanuelle Arsan, the film shot in Hong Kong and Paris from a script co-written with Rebecca Zlotowski (Other People’s Children).
Plot details are being kept under wraps but Diwan’s film will deviate from the lucrative and cult 1977 movie adaptation of Arsan’s novel, which starred Sylvia Kristel as the wife of a French diplomat in Bangkok who embarks on a voyage of sexual discovery.

This article contains mild spoilers for "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes."
As tends to be the case with most film adaptations, there's a lot in the original book that doesn't get mentioned in the "Hunger Games" prequel movie, "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes." There's an opening flashback to the first rebellion and some general necessary exposition -- this movie takes place 10 years after the end of the war, the Snow family is nearly bankrupt, and the Games are still having the kinks worked out -- but the rest of Panem's history is revealed strictly on a need-to-know basis. As much as this is a prequel partly designed to fill in the gaps of Panem's history before Katniss started a second revolution, it's definitely not interested in filling in all the blanks.
In this respect, it's not much different from the source material. While Suzanne Collins'...

Queen Elizabeth II may have popularized the phrase “annus horribilis” decades ago, but the Latin term feels more relevant than ever when thinking about the state of the U.S. TV sector in the last year.
Midway through 2022, the industry was rocked by an unanticipated Netflix subscriber slide that sent shockwaves through Wall Street. Since then, there have been a series of struggles for virtually all legacy studios and streamers, thousands and thousands of layoffs across the sector and dual labor strikes for the first time since a young Ronald Reagan was helming the actors’ union.
When it rains, it pours, as they say, but what did this all mean for the industry outside the States? As globalization has taken hold, the international business has become more intrinsically linked with the U.S. and is also largely driven by the streaming revolution.

Spain’s TV fiction industry is exercising some caution after high-end Spanish-language series lifted off in 2018.
“We all wanted to launch so many projects, so many new platforms arrived that there was no time for analysis,” says Bambú co-founder Ramón Campos.
As streamers scale back on originals and sales cycles slow, the industry has time for larger re-calculation.

Pink Floyd have released a remaster of their magnum opus The Dark Side of the Moon, out now via Pink Floyd/Warner Music.
The polished-up edition of the album was originally released back in March with The Dark Side of the Moon 50th Anniversary Box Set, but this is the first time that the standalone Dark Side remaster is available on its own. Pressed on vinyl, CD, and Blu-ray formats, the physical package comes equipped with postcards, stickers, and a 24-page booklet commemorating the record, which Consequence recently crowned one of the greatest albums of all time.
Notably, Pink Floyd’s Dark Side remaster arrives just a week after embattled ex-member Roger Waters shared The Dark Side of the Moon Redux, a track-by-track re-recording of the album on his own terms. He teased it with some — ahem — interesting versions of “Time” and “Money.”

Welcome to this review of the 2023 edition of WWE”s Fastlane pay-per-view, well I say pay-per-view but this is technically a Ple (Premium Live Event) because… I have no idea what the difference is other than some countries get to see Ple’s without paying more than a subscription to a streaming service. Anyway, rant over, here’s the review…

Roger Waters has unveiled reworked renditions of “Speak To Me / Breathe” from his upcoming album of re-recordings, The Dark Side of the Moon Redux, which interpolates Pink Floyd lyrics from “Free Four” off 1972’s Obscured by Clouds.
While the two-part opening track from 1973’s The Dark Side of the Moon served as a type of overture introducing sounds and motifs used throughout the album, the redux version appears to similarly set the tone for the new collection. In a spoken word introduction, Waters recites the opening verse of “Free Four,” saying: “The memories of a man in his old age/ Are the deeds of a man in his prime,” which nearly echo his statement announcing the album as “the lament of an elder being on the human condition.”
Later lines such as “Eighty years with luck or even less” also pair nicely with his initial comments on the project where...
