What does Kate Middleton carry in her purse? The Princess of Wales reportedly takes a “practical” approach. She opts for a select few items she can reach for while out and about. Ahead, what four items the 42-year-old British royal stows in her handbag. Hint: Queen Elizabeth II and Meghan Markle have been known to carry a few of the same things, too.
What Kate Middleton keeps in her purse: blotting paper and a compact mirror
Kate, per The Mirror, “is well-known for her fashionable looks and enviable handbag collection, but when it comes to what she keeps inside her stylish bags, she opts for the practical.”
Practical, indeed. Let’s just say the mother of three doesn’t need a tote bag to accommodate her necessities. Kate keeps it streamlined. So, probably no loose change or crumpled-up receipts floating around next to her phone and keys.

In 2021, Pointless fans had to come to terms with the fact that change is the only constant in this crazy, crazy world when the show’s co-creator and co-host Richard Osman left to pursue other career opportunities such as being an incredibly successful crime novelist, and taking the main seat on his own game show Richard Osman’s House of Games.
Good for Richard Osman, it all seems to be very going well for him. But for Pointless?
Taking its cue from satirical current affairs show Have I Got News For You?, which settled on a revolving carousel of guest hosts when its regular host Angus Deayton was forced to step down instead of plumping for a permanent chair, Pointless has welcomed a series of co-hosts in the past couple of years.
First up were Sally Lindsay, Stephen Mangan, Lauren Laverne, Alex Brooker, Konnie Huq and Ed Gamble. Next came Andi Oliver,...

Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond couldn’t hold back the tears on This Morning after Gok Wan’s 14-year-old cousin revealed she is now “leukaemia free”.
Alyssa, who is the stylist’s cousin’s daughter, was diagnosed with cancer a year and a half ago.
Appearing on the show on Wednesday (14 December) with her mother and Wan, Alyssa shared the news of her recovery aided by an experimental treatment.
It involved inputting specially engineered cells into her body to attack and overwhelm the cancerous cells, and was the first time it had been used for this type of leukaemia.
O’Leary was keen to express how impressed he was by Alyssa’s maturity and bravery, and quoted her previous statement of wanting to make a difference by talking about her health journey.
In response, Alyssa agreed with her previous comments. “I just wanted to make a difference,” she echoed, adding:...

Last year, Downton Abbey recruited George Clooney to participate in a charity holiday short for ITV's annual "Text Santa" appeal. This year, the short is even more spoof-tacular, with appearances by Gordon Ramsay (who's good mates with Mrs. Patmore, apparently) and noted British personalities Sir Bruce Forsyth, Gok Wan, Brenda Blethyn, Jim Broadbent, Michelle Keegan, and Warwick Davis joining in for the fun. The goal: Win over the Crawley family to become the Abbey's official Santa Claus. (Just give it to Carson, don't be daft, he really wants it!). The banter is cheeky, and the accents are merry. The sixth and final season will premiere on PBS on January 3.

It's not just X Factor winners who keep us coming back year in, year out, it's the ludicrous novelty acts who make the show so memorable. In the words of Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, "it may be borderline bonkers, but I love that".
But since Louis Walsh's departure from the show, there's been a noticeable lack of novelty fodder. Damn them for employing judges who actually value musical talent over mad outfits and insane dance routines.

David Cameron brightened up Amanda Holden's morning yesterday, when he jogged past her as she presented This Morning live on London's South Bank.
The presenter and guest host Gok Wan were enjoying the sunshine, hosting a food segment of the daily magazine show outside, when Holden learned that the prime minister was nearby.
Hearing the news, she excitedly told viewers: "David Cameron is jogging on the South Bank!" before proceeding to call out his name and invite him to join them on the set.
Wan, who was filling in for Phillip Schofield, unfortunately had his offer of a healthy smoothie turned down by Cameron.
As the moment passed - and attention went back to guests the Hemsley sisters - Holden reflected on the morning's excitement, saying: "I can't believe that!"
Still buzzing from the moment, she later described the prime minister as being "in quite good nick".

The Game of Thrones actress is to guest star in the sci-fi drama when it returns for its ninth run in the autumn.
Speaking to Alan Carr on Chatty Man, Williams teased that she is going to "test" Peter Capaldi's Doctor.
"There's been a lot of speculation about whether she's like a younger Clara or whether she is a new character completely," she said. "I'm not going to tell you which one."
She continued: "Whether she is good or bad is up for discussion, I think. She does put the Doctor to the test and it's sort of a dynamic that we haven't seen before."
On joining the series, she added: "It's wonderful. The set's amazing.

"I'm used to being part of Game of Thrones and going into something where you're a small part of something else.

We've got a bone to pick with The Great Comic Relief Bake Off. The show is meant to inspire us all to bake for charity - unfortunately, it just makes us realise how terrible things can get in the kitchen. Luckily, though, it's not us suffering, it's celebrities - which makes the whole thing very entertaining indeed.
Here are our 14 funniest moments from tonight's episode, which saw Zoella, Jonathan Ross, Abbey Clancy and Gok Wan take to the tent...
1. Mary's excitement about Gok's cupcakes.
Gok planned to make banana-flavoured "geisha" cupcakes with a brazil nut inside each one. "You've got the surprise of the nut," Mary grinned appreciatively. Oo-er.
2. Gok's competitive streak.
We knew from the beginning that Gok was competitive - because he told us he wanted to win - but it was clear for all to see when he began rating his fellow bakers' cupcake chances. "Jonathan, nah.

Marvel Comics
There are countless celebrities who apparently have analogues in the fictional DC and Marvel comic book universes. The Avengers were once guests on David Letterman’s chat show, Batman and Robin tried to wrap their heads around the Paul Is Dead Beatles conspiracy theory, and Spider-Man teamed up with John Belushi to fight the Silver Samurai back in the seventies (all of those are things that actually happened, because comic books). What they could really use, though, is a Gok Wan, or a Trinny and Susannah.
It’s not like superhero costumes are the most dapper get ups in the first place. Even in a world of morphsuits and Lady Gaga, you’d get some funny looks walking down the street donning the Batman cowl, or clanking about in that Iron Man suit of armour. Still, the spandex outfits do the job, and everybody’s sort of accepted them as the norm now.
