Claymation legends Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham will offer stop-motion fans a sneak peek at their upcoming Wallace & Gromit film at this year’s Annecy animation festival.
The still-untitled feature will see inveterate, cheese-loving inventor Wallace designing a “smart gnome” for the family garden who begins to develop a mind of its own. As events spiral out of control, it is up to faithful dog Gromit to put things right. Park and Crossingham co-directed the film, based on a story by Park and a screenplay from Shaun the Sheep and Gnomeo & Juliet writer Mark Burton.
The film, which will premiere on Netflix worldwide outside the U.K., where it will have a first-release window on the BBC, is the second feature from Aardman Animations based on the beloved characters, following the Oscar-winning Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005) and the series of award-winning shorts, including Oscar-winners The Wrong...

Season Seven of Netflix’s Big Mouth begins where the penultimate season ends: the cast of pubescent middle schoolers arrive at high school exploring the Pda-filled halls, meeting the gospel-singing B-High Quee-Choi, and participating in a classic food fight. Although it took seven seasons for the hyper-horny students to get to secondary school, it remains one of the most “disgusting laugh machines in all of television,” our own Alan Sepinwall wrote.

“Big Mouth” is embracing its savage side with the announcement that Grammy-winning Megan Thee Stallion will guest star in Season 7. The penultimate season of the Netflix animated comedy is set to premiere October 20.
Based on this first teaser, the rapper will be playing a Hormone Monstress named — you guessed it — Megan Thee Stallion. That’s right, the “Body” singer is playing herself. True to the rapper’s brand, there’s a lot of twerking and tongue thrusting in the short clip.
“It’s a big motherf—king deal they got me on the show,” Megan Thee Stallion says.
“That’s some hot girl s—t right there,” Connie (Maya Rudolph) counters, sticking her tongue out and mimicking the rapper’s signature pose.
Megan Thee Stallion isn’t the only recognizable new addition in this upcoming season. Season 7 will also include guest starring roles from “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” star Lupita Nyong’o,...

Human Resources is an adult animated series created by Jennifer Flackett, Kelly Galuska, Andrew Goldberg, Nick Kroll and Mark Levin.
From the “wicked” world of Big Mouth comes the second season of this very badass series that turns this (professional) mischief into something fun, at least for a few minutes. Whether one gets tired of it or not is up to the viewer.
Human Resources
Absurd and crude, great in some of its dialogues, reflective… Human Resources continues with its tone of ludicrous parody that mixes The Office with Big Mouth itself and that, yes, manages to amuse in a South Park style, with that humor that you either love or hate but that, at least, has the honesty to try, in its provocative style, many times, just for the sake of it.
And other times, perhaps not by chance, in that provocation it finds the perfect formula to tell us something totally coherent.

The Hormone Monsters are coming back for more this summer as "Human Resources" season 2 is debuting very soon on Netflix. The "Big Mouth" spin-off is returning for another round of filthy, animated shenanigans next month, and we've got a brand new trailer to get fans hyped for what's to come. It's dirty, inappropriate, and actually has a touch of sweetness to it. But mostly filthy, let's be clear.
The series was created by the all-star team of Kelly Galuska, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, and Nick Kroll. Meanwhile, the flagship series "Big Mouth" is set to end with season 8 on Netflix, but the spin-off lives on for at least one more season, even as the main show is bringing it in for a landing. Though it will conclude its run as Netflix's longest-running scripted series ever, which is no small thing. But let's not get too ahead of ourselves or off-topic here.

Big Mouth has earned a season eight renewal from Netflix, making it the longest-running original series (outside of Kids & Family content) on the streaming service. That’s great news for fans of the raunchy adult animated comedy. However, the renewal announcement also confirmed the popular comedy’s eighth season will be its last.
Additionally, Netflix will be wrapping up the Big Mouth spinoff Human Resources after its upcoming second season. The streaming service cushioned that announcement by assuring viewers that Human Resources characters will “flow into” seasons seven and eight of Big Mouth.
Season seven will debut this year, and season eight is targeting a 2024 premiere.

Thankfully puberty doesn’t last forever, but unfortunately the same has to be true of Big Mouth: The animated Netflix series, which has offered a hilarious, unsparing look at the horrors and joys (but mostly horrors) of early adolescence will end after its eighth season.
The show’s end isn’t exactly imminent, with Season Seven set to air this year, and Season Eight premiering in 2024. The stories in the final seasons will dovetail a bit with Big Mouth spin-off, Human Resources, which will end after its upcoming second season.

"Big Mouth," Netflix's animated sitcom about puberty and all the gross, awkward experiences that it brings, is finally coming to end with its eighth and final season. Netflix revealed the news before the premiere of season 7, which has not yet been released. That means we have two seasons left of the show, most likely due in thanks to its previous success, and fans can look forward to many more episodes before "Big Mouth" ends.
"Big Mouth" was created by longtime friends Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg, as well as Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett, and is based on the former pair's suburban childhoods growing up in Westchester County outside of New York City. The series is known for its frank and open portrayal of taboo topics related to sex and sexuality, all told through the main characters' interactions with the wildly horny psychological manifestations of their puberty known as the Hormone Monsters.

Despite the show’s animated platform, I don’t recommend showing Big Mouth or Human Resources to your young ones. Both series are rude, crude, filled with foul language, and contain underage nudity. You can parent however you like. I simply want you to know what you’re getting yourself into.

Big Mouth and spinoff Human Resources are both coming to an end on Netflix.
Big Mouth has been renewed for an eighth and final season. Human Resources will wrap with its upcoming second season, yet its characters will also appear in the flagship show’s final season. The seventh season of Big Mouth will launch later this year, and the final season will air sometime in 2024.
Netflix points out that the Emmy-winning adult-animated comedy will become the longest-running scripted series in the streamer’s history (aside from kids and family programming). Big Mouth followed a group of middle school kids and their hormone monsters as they navigated the perils of adolescence.
“If you would have told adolescent Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg that middle school would take eight years to finish, they would have been like ‘yeah, that sounds about right. this seems like it will never end,'” said...

Netflix's Big Mouth franchise is coming to an end.
Deadline revealed Monday that Big Mouth has been renewed for Season 8, well ahead of the premiere of Big Mouth Season 7.
The early renewal will give the creatives time to craft conclusions for the roster of characters at the center of the hit animated series.
Additionally, Human Resources will conclude with its upcoming second season.
The plan, according to Deadline, is for the two shows to become more unified on the final two seasons of Big Mouth, with characters and stories from the spinoff to migrate over to the parent series.
It's always difficult when beloved shows end, but Big Mouth has lasted longer than every other Netflix scripted series outside of Kids & Family Programming.

Puberty can only last so long.
“Big Mouth” has been renewed for Season 8 at Netflix, which will be the animated comedy’s final installation. Additionally, “Big Mouth” spinoff “Human Resources” will end with its previously greenlit second season.
This makes “Big Mouth” Netflix’s longest running original series, excluding kids and family programming. Previously, “Grace and Frankie” and “Orange Is the New Black” shared that title with seven seasons each.
Inspired by the childhoods of co-creators Nick Kroll and Andrew Goldberg, “Big Mouth” follows a group of friends and their hormone monsters as they navigate adolescence, human sexuality and coming of age. Kroll starred alongside John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, Jason Mantzoukas and Ayo Edebiri (whose role was originally played by Jenny Slate). Season 6 debuted in 2022, while Season 7 will come in 2023 and 2024.
“Human Resources” is set in the world of the hormone monsters from “Big Mouth,” where different monsters are assigned to govern human emotions.

In keeping with animation tradition, “Big Mouth” co-creator Andrew Goldberg assumed that — like “The Simpsons” or “South Park” before it — the adult-geared series would remain stagnant in time. So much for Charles Bradley’s “Changes” theme song.
Thankfully, though, no one else agreed: The crux of the in-your-face, earnest and raunchy Netflix show about puberty is just that — the rapid changes that occur in adolescence, from the pesky zits to the growing emotional maturity that stops everything in its tracks.
“Puberty is a defined time of life, and our kids are getting older in the show,” fellow co-creator Mark Levin told TheWrap in an interview. “Bart Simpson has been the same age for 30 years or whatever, but for our show, we really want to progress them through time, and they’re moving through eighth grade now. We want to be able to tell the story of puberty as a time of life,...

Spoiler alert: The following article discusses the entirety of “Big Mouth” Season 6.
When “Big Mouth” co-creators Jennifer Flackett, Andrew Goldberg, Nick Kroll and Mark Levin first sat down in their “little bubble” to pen what would eventually become one of Netflix’s foremost adult animated comedies in 2017, they didn’t quite realize what an stirring ride it would be.
The out-there, at times raunchy and always-riotous tale about hormone monsters and the pains of growing up is known for its meta gags, audience ribbing and pillaging of anything a Wasp mom would find scandalous at best, if not completely objectionable. But over the course of half a decade and a workplace spinoff later, the slick comedy has skillfully burst open the black box of previously taboo topics like teen mental health, sex education and gender identity.

Comedian Nick Kroll is returning to standup — and doing it via Netflix, the home of his animated comedy “Big Mouth.” Kroll’s first stand-up special in a decade — and his first for Netflix — is titled “Nick Kroll: Little Big Boy,” and will premiere globally on September 27.
The special will air a month before the Season 6 return of “Big Mouth,” which returns Oct. 28. For “Little Big Boy,” Kroll shot the special in June at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.
“I could be wrong, but I don’t know if people think of me really as a stand up, because I’ve been doing sketch and animation and acting and the writing stuff,” said Kroll, who beyond “Big Mouth” and his voicework is perhaps best known for “The League” and “The Kroll Show,” as well as playing the geriatric Gil Faizon, opposite John Mulaney, in the “Oh, Hello” sketches that...

Netflix has sealed a new three-year deal with Brutus Pink, which extends their relationship with the animation production company behind “Big Mouth” and its new companion series “Human Resources.” The extension will keep Brutus Pink, which is run by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett, developing and producing new animated projects for Netflix through 2026.
“Brutus Pink is thrilled to be continuing at Netflix, which has been our creative home for seven years,” Levin said in a statement. “We’re hopeful this means we get to keep the ‘Con Air’ DVD that’s been sitting on Nick’s coffee table in a red envelope since 2006.”

“Big Mouth” is known for taking raunchy humor to new levels. Across five seasons and the recent “Human Resources” spin-off, the show has leveraged its playful animated world of horny pre-teens goaded on by cheeky manifestations of their physical and emotional changes to explore puberty from new and often shocking directions. However, “Big Mouth” is hardly an empty provocation, as the show has taken a winning approach to exploring sexuality in personal terms.
Yet for all the successes of “Big Mouth,” nothing in its initial run could prepare viewers for “A Very Big Mouth Christmas,” the eighth episode of Season 5, which throws a whole bunch of curveballs into the mix. The anthology episode, a recent submission to the Emmys, uses a hodgepodge of adventurous animation to envision several holiday-themed stories that take the show’s subversive edge in new directions, starting with a live-action framing device that finds hormone monsters...

“Big Mouth” and “Human Resources” still have some growing up to do. The Netflix animated comedies have been renewed for additional seasons, the streamer announced Monday.
“Big Mouth” has been renewed through Season 7, with Season 6 premiering later this year. Freshman show “Human Resources” has also been renewed for a second season. The news of the renewals came during the shows’ FYC Emmy panel at NeueHouse Hollywood in Los Angeles. In attendance were the shows’ executive producers Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett and Kelly Galuska, along with Randall Park, who stars in “Human Resources.”
Created by Kroll, Goldberg, Levin and Flackett in 2017, “Big Mouth” focuses on a group of friends in middle school struggling with the changes puberty has brought to their lives. One of the show’s central conceits is the existence of “hormone monsters,” which act as representations for the various emotions the preteens experience during puberty.

Netflix tonight announced that it has renewed its animated series Big Mouth for a seventh season, and will bring back its spinoff Human Resources for a second. The former series will be back with new episodes later this year.
Big Mouth is a half-hour adult animated comedy series from creators Jennifer Flackett, Andrew Goldberg and Nick Kroll, which watches as teenage friends find their lives upended by the wonders and horrors of puberty. Its series regulars are Kroll, John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Ayo Edebiri and Jessi Klein.
Human Resources pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures—Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more—that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years. Hugh Jackman voices the tattooed and pierced Dante, a “seductive Addiction Angel” making time with Aidy Bryant’s Emmy the Lovebug in “Human Resources,” the edgier spinoff of Netflix’s “Big Mouth.” Netflix shared the first trailer on Tuesday for the series, which debuts March 18.
Like “Big Mouth,” which features teenagers and their assigned “hormone monsters,” the series is about adults who get the often unwelcome guardian angel treatment from various non-human wizards.
The trailer also introduces us to Helen Mirren as “renowned Shame Wizard Rita St. Swithens,” Lupita Nyong’o as Asha the Shame Wizard, Chris O’Dowd as Flanny the Lovebug and Harvey Guillén as Jose the Spider Receptionist and human characters voiced by Ali Wong, Janelle Monáe, Mike Birbiglia and Tim Robinson.

Before premiering in 2017, “Big Mouth” may have looked like one more coming-of-age teen show built around its off-color humor, where kids crack jokes and embarrass themselves amid the wild waters of puberty. But five seasons in, it’s clear series co-creator/star Nick Kroll and his writing team have larger designs at work.
The theme of the recently launched Season 5 is “Love/Hate,” as seventh graders Nick (Kroll), Andrew (John Mulaney), Jessi (Jessi Klein) and Missy (Ayo Edebiri) experience their first brushes with the powerful forces of both falling in love and having those feelings rejected. For Kroll, this season is a natural evolution for the characters and the show.
“It’s a combination of letting our characters dictate the stories we tell, but we also go in season to season with larger themes in mind,” Kroll said. “We started in Season 2 with shame and felt how successful that was for generating stories.

1. “Cowboy Bebop” (available November 19)
Why Should I Watch? Calling the original anime “Cowboy Bebop” a cult classic doesn’t quite do justice to its impact on animation, television, and culture at large. Hajime Yatate’s neo-noir space western originally ran in the late ’90s, hopping across two Japanese TV networks to air its 26 episodes before becoming the first anime title to premiere on Adult Swim here in the States (circa 2001). Often referred to as a bridge for animation fans to invest in anime, as well as Western audiences to appreciate a medium originated in the East, “Cowboy Bebop” is also just a flat-out wild time. Bounty hunters are called cowboys, the Earth is practically uninhabitable, and space is the de facto travel frontier.
