Things are tough all over when you’re Eddie Brock. Sure, he’s got a powerful symbiote writhing beneath his quirky exterior, but I don’t see Venom doing anything to help pay the bills, do you? Maybe that’s why Eddie pays a visit to UFC CEO Dana White in a new promo for Sony and Marvel’s Venom: The Last Dance.
Before the threequel‘s October 25 theatrical release, Venom: The Last Dance continues to target its crucial demographic by getting known UFC personalities to help promote the upcoming film. In today’s Venom: The Last Dance promo, Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) hits UFC boss Dana White up for money amid a heated phone call. White, already frustrated, tells Eddie to hit the bricks. Eddie wants to walk away from the impromptu meeting with some cash, but he says he’ll fight anyone to earn the scratch. After getting denied and sent packing,...

Venom: The Last Dance R-Rated Promo Sees Eddie Brock Beat Up UFC Bantamweight Champion Sean O'Malley
With Venom: The Last Dance a little over a month away from arriving in theaters, the promotional tie-ins have begun, starting with a fun team-up with the UFC.
It begins with Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock (who is on the run) bursting into UFC President Dana White's office to ask for the opportunity to fight in exchange for cash. The promotor isn't impressed and demands that the former journalist leave his office.
However, White then hears a commotion outside and emerges to find Eddie - with a little help from Venom - choking out Sean O'Malley, the current UFC Bantamweight Champion.
There are times when this feels like it could be a scene in the threequel and we'd imagine Venom: The Last Dance will feature some surprises linked to its Las Vegas setting. Also worth mentioning are White's repeated F-bombs; could those rumours about the movie being R-Rated be correct?...

Both Trump and Harris have a plethora of celebrities supporting (or more specifically ‘endorsing’) their campaigns. Despite the odds, the battle between the presidential candidates and celebrities endorsing parties has started.
Taylor Swift And Mark Hamill Are With Kamala Harris
It has been often seen that celebrities with millions of fans and followers support (or endorse) a certain party when election time is near. Since it’s Donald Trump vs Kamala Harris, the choices are limited.

With the UFC’s ESPN deal set to expire, Tko president-COO and former ESPN executive Mark Shapiro says the mixed martial arts league led by Dana White wants to ink a renewal with Disney during a three-month negotiating window from Jan. 15 to April 15.
No formal conversations have started but “it is our intention to re-sign with ESPN and Disney because they they’ve shown that they do it best. They understand synergy. They understand marketing. They do a great job technologically, with developing their platforms, engaging their consumers. And of course, ESPN flagship, which is their direct to consumer, is on the way. So we’re anxious to see what that’s all about and where we can fit in there,” he told investors at a Goldman Sachs media conference.

On Sept. 14, the $2.3 billion Sphere in Las Vegas will see its 160,000-square-foot curved LED screen teleport the 20,000 or so guests to different “worlds,” with the mixed martial arts giant UFC set to take over the venue for what will be the Sphere’s first ever live sporting event.
According to UFC CEO Dana White, the idea sprang from the Sphere’s opening act a year ago: The U2 residency.
“I went to U2 at the Sphere, and halfway through the show, I started to realize the Sphere was the star of the show, not U2. I was blown away by the technology, and I started thinking about the possibilities of what we could do,” White recalls. “I guess I looked at this thing and said, ‘Eventually, somebody is going to come in here and pull off a sporting event. I want to do it, I want to be first.’

Donald Trump is leveraging the talents of his youngest son, Barron Trump, 18, and Barron’s friend, Bo Loudon, 17, to engage Gen Z voters in his 2024 presidential campaign. Despite their youth, these tech-savvy teens have become unofficial social media strategists, advising the 78-year-old former president on how to connect with a younger audience through influencers and online platforms.
The duo’s influence became evident when they arranged Trump’s recent 90-minute interview with Kick streamer Adin Ross. The interview garnered significant attention, with reports suggesting that it reached 500,000 live viewers and an estimated 100 million total listeners, as Trump claimed on his social media platform, Truth Social. Barron and Bo have also urged Trump to form relationships with popular content creators like Jake Paul and entrepreneur Patrick Bet-David, recognizing these figures’ power over younger audiences.
On the verge of entering his senior year of high school, Loudon is already making waves as a rising conservative influencer.

After facing backlash from supporters of Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again movement, Joe Rogan is walking back reports that he endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. when he expressed his support for the third-party presidential candidate on his podcast Thursday.
The influential podcaster explained on Thursday’s Joe Rogan Experience that he finds both the Democrat and Republican parties problematic and sees them as more concerned with spin than speaking the truth: “That’s just what they do. That’s politics. They do it on the left, they do it on the right,” Rogan told his audience. “They gaslight you, they manipulate you, they promote narratives, and the only one who is not doing that is Robert F. Kennedy Jr.”
He added of Kennedy, “He’s the only one that makes sense to me. He’s the only one — he doesn’t attack people, he attacks actions and ideas,...

Zack Snyder might be directing a UFC movie very soon as he has expressed his enthusiasm for the project. In June, one of the emerging figures in the boxing world Turki Alalshikh shared that he wanted to make a big UFC movie with Snyder. The Man of Steel director shares a close friendship with the Saudi government official.

Snyder could probably bring his creative vision to make a film that will not hold back on the intense violent fights in the ring. It would not be wrong to assume that Superman killing General Zod may not be the most violent thing you saw from Snyder once this film comes out.

In a stunning twist, a federal judge has rejected a $335 million settlement between Ultimate Fighting Championship and more than 1,200 fighters suing for wage suppression.
“It is hereby ordered that the motion for preliminary approval” of the deal is “denied,” wrote U.S. District Judge Richard Boulware in a court note issued on Tuesday evening of the deal struck by Tko Group — born out of the marriage between UFC and WWE. “A separate written order elaborating the Court’s order and reasoning will issue.”
With the denial, the judge set a trial to start on Oct. 28. The two sides could potentially negotiate a new settlement to address concerns from the judge, who has said that payment may be too low, among other things. If UFC lost, it stood to lose more than $4 billion since damages in antitrust cases can be trebled.

Former president Donald Trump took to the stage on the final day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Thursday (July 18), where he opened up about last Saturday’s (July 13) assassination attempt. Introduced by UFC president Dana White, Trump made his way to the stage and recounted details of the attack, which saw him shot in the ear while giving a speech at a Pennsylvania rally last Saturday. The Republican presidential candidate, who wore a bandage over his right ear, told the crowd in Milwaukee this would be the only time he’d talk about the events. “I’ll tell you what happened, and you’ll never hear it from me a second time because it’s too painful,” Trump said as he recalled details from this past Saturday. The former Apprentice host said he was talking about immigration at the southern border when he turned his head...

It was supposed to be a kinder, gentler Donald Trump accepting the Republican nomination for president.
Surviving an assassination attempt had made him a new man, we were led to believe. Newly humbled by his close brush with death, he was supposed to have torn up the vitriolic speech he was originally going to deliver. Instead, he would give a “unity speech,” one designed to heal the political divisiveness tearing the country apart.
That lasted for, oh, about 15 minutes or so.
The speech began innocently enough, with Trump announcing, “The discord and division in our society must be healed.”
“We rise together or we fall apart,” he went on, sounding like Abraham Lincoln, the president to whom he favorably compares himself so often. “I am running to be president of all of America, not half of America.”
So far, so good.
Then he began milking the details of the attempt on his life,...

For a moment, Donald Trump seemed — despite everything — to be a whole new man.
We’d been told by speakers throughout the final night of the Republican National Convention that the attempt on his life had changed the 45th president’s outlook and his approach to politics. The experience had made him a unifier.
“He turned down the most obvious opportunity in politics to inflame the nation after being shot,” Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News anchor, said in his speech Thursday night, hours before Trump took the stage. “In the moment, he did his best to bring the country together.”
And then, somewhat deep into Trump’s stem-winder of a speech, he started talking about Hannibal Lecter.
“The press is always on me, because I say this,” he began, in an aside. He knew it was not the first time he’d brought up Hannibal, but he couldn’t resist.

Tucker Carlson made a primetime return to Fox News tonight with his speech at the Republican National Convention, but the ex-host was nowhere to be seen on his old homes of CNN and MSNBC.
Taking the stage at the GOP shindig to the introduction of “Journalist, author and American citizen,” Carlson opened his remarks sounding very unlike a former bow tie-wearing conservative. “I’ve been to many conventions,” he told the delegates in Milwaukee after spending the past three days palling around with the Trumps and sitting in their VIP box. I’ve never been to a more fun convention. I’ve never been to a convention with better vibes.”

Say what you will about Joe Biden (and we’ve been as candid as anyone), the man has enjoyed an A-list roster of celebrity fans in recent years: Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence and George Clooney are among those who have endorsed and/or fundraised. While Biden’s famous supporters haven’t been nearly so public or enthusiastic since his debate disaster, Hollywood loves the Dems and isn’t shy about it.
Donald Trump, despite having spend a great deal of time in Hollywood, has never drawn much star support. Yet he still has an odd assemblage of mostly C- and D-listers. To some extent, this is true of most modern Republican presidential candidates (with Ronald Reagan probably being the last to draw a fair amount major star support).

To some extent, this is true of most modern Republican presidential candidates (with Ronald Reagan probably being the last to draw a fair amount major star support).

Donald Trump’s acceptance speech will be the highlight of the final night of the Republican National Convention, but the other speaker lineup will have the feel of a cage match.
Hulk Hogan has been added to the lineup. The entertainer and wrestler sued Gawker for invasion of privacy over the publication of an excerpt of a sex tape. Hogan won and the case was eventually settled, but the case put Gawker out of business. As it turned out, venture capitalist Peter Thiel financed Hogan’s lawsuit. Thiel also helped bankroll vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance’s 2022 U.S. Senate campaign, donating $15 million to a super Pac supporting his candidacy.
Other speakers to be featured tonight include Dana White, CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship and Linda McMahon, former CEO of WWE and Small Business Administration administrator during Trump’s presidency.

Amber Rose, the rapper, model and TV personality, not only got a prime speaking slot at the Republican National Convention, she appeared just after Donald Trump arrived at the Fiserv Forum.
“I am no politician and I don’t want need to be, but I do care about the truth. And the truth is that the media has lied to us about Donald Trump,” she said, to cheers from the crowd.
“I know this because for a long time I believed those lies. So I am here to set the record straight.”
Rose was once highly critical of Trump. She said that she initially believed “the left wing propaganda that Donald Trump was a racist.” But her father, a Trump supporter, denied that, and Rose then researched “all things Donald Trump.”
“I watched all the rallies, and I started meeting so many of you, his red hat wearing supporters,” she said.

The Republican National Convention opened Monday afternoon, with a boosted security presence following the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
That has given the proceedings a different tenor of coverage, with Trump expected to appear on the floor Monday night to a rousing reception of delegates and supporters.
Before the Trump rally shooting, correspondents already were looking to a convention that would be more than just a coronation of the Republican nominee, as he has yet to announce his vice presidential running mate. The former president has signaled that will come today.
Now, with the assassination attempt and concerns over the escalation of political violence, media focus will be on the speakers and the extent to which they display messages of unity versus red meat rhetoric.
“The reality is, this whole convention now is going to be really colored by what happened the other, and just the images of him pumping first and saying,...

Joe Biden is among those across politics and Hollywood reacting to the deadly shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday.
The former president’s campaign said Trump was “fine” after being rushed off the stage when gunfire erupted. The shooting is being investigated as an attempted assassination on Trump, law enforcement officials told the Associated Press. A local prosecutor said the suspected gunman, who the FBI later identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, and at least one attendee are dead.
Hours following the shooting, Trump wrote on his Truth Social media site that a bullet “pierced the upper part of my right ear.” He added, “I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening.”

Tucker Carlson is among the celebrity names slated to speak at next week’s Republican National Convention, reportedly in a plum spot on Thursday night before Donald Trump himself accepts the party nomination.
In addition to a long list of elected officials who are backing Trump, the speaker lineup also includes celebrities like Amber Rose, the model, rapper and former stripper; Dana White, the CEO of UFC; and Savannah Chrisley, the TV personality whose parents are serving prison time for fraud and tax evasion. In the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) world, a lot has been going on lately, and now Israel Adesanya is trying to become a part of it. Not directly, but he still seems to be trying to take over the limelight of one other fighter. This fighter is the Brazilian mixed martial artist cum former kickboxer and the latest winner of UFC 303, Alex Pereira.

This comes after Izzy recently took to social media to share something rather peculiar in the case of the recent turn of events that resulted in Pereira’s Ko victory at UFC 303. In the post he shared, there was a crazy fan-made video of his and Pereira’s fight from 2023, though this one was so brutally modified that it inevitably sounds like Izzy is trying to steal Pereira’s spotlight.

In a world where live sports remain television’s cash cow, could competitive pillow fighting be the next big thing?
Sean Perry and his 2500 Media banner certainly think so.
The company has secured the television rights to the Pillow Fight Championship, which was founded in 2021 by Steve Williams.
Pillow Fight Championship is the world’s first professional pillow fighting league featuring professional fighters engaging in pillow combat.
Last year, the competition aired on ESPN2 and the organizers have also organized pay-per-view events.
The pillow fighters come from various Mixed Martial Arts (Mma) and athletic background including former NCAA Division I Athletes and current and former UFC combatants.
It comes 10 months after Perry signed a deal with Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Media, which is now part of Lionsgate Alternative Television.
Piligian was also involved in another relatively new fighting competition – Power Slap. Piligian was one of the founders of Power Slap...

Now, McGregor is speaking out about his reasons for pulling out and lashing out at his doubters. Here is what the former UFC Champion had to say.
Conor McGregor Reveals Reason He Backed Out Of UFC 303
One of the biggest problems with Conor McGregor is that he has often been a big mouth to his opposition. When he was supposed to fight Rafael dos Anjos in 2016, Anjos had to pull out due to injury. Conor mocked him, calling it a bruise and saying he would never do that. Now that he is, people like Anjos are striking back at him.

UFC President Dana White announced on Thursday night that Conor McGregor has been ruled out of UFC 303 on June 29 because of injury.
McGregor hasn’t fought in the UFC since July 2021, when he sustaind a leg injury that many viewed as career-threatening.
Instead of McGregor, UFC will offer light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, who will put his title on the line to fight Jiri Prochazka as the main event.
McGregor’s injury was not disclosed, and UFC wouldn’t say when it happened. However, it’s not expected to be a long-term setback, according to reports, and could be rebooked for later in the year. McGregor is considered the UFC’s top drawing card.

On Monday, a press conference in Dublin to promote the June 29 match at UFC 303 in Las Vegas between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler was postponed. The unexpected postponement immediately sparked speculation over McGregor’s availability for the highly anticipated fight.
Photos and videos circulating on social media showed McGregor, 35, out dancing with his fiancée and friends, further fueling the rumors. Fans and media also noted that UFC CEO Dana White did not indicate that the press conference would be postponed when he spoke to reporters at Saturday’s UFC 302 event.
McGregor, a two-time UFC champion, is scheduled to fight Chandler as a welterweight in a five-round, non-title bout. The Irishman has not appeared in a match since he broke his leg and lost by Tko to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in 2021.
In a statement on social media, McGregor implied that the postponement was UFC’s decision and provided little explanation for the sudden change.

Former president and convicted felon Donald Trump is now on TikTok.
If he heads into the 2024 election as the Republican candidate, that’s one thing he and Democrat competitor President Joe Biden will have in common: both have railed against TikTok’s presence in the U.S., citing national security concerns, and yet still maintain accounts on the app.
The Biden campaign launched its TikTok push in February, just two months before Biden signed a bill that’ll ban TikTok nationwide unless owner ByteDance divests it. (TikTok’s fighting that bill in court.)
As for Trump, he made his own failed attempt to ban TikTok via executive order in 2020, and now filmed his TikTok debut at the UFC‘s Makhachev vs. Poirier fight June 1.
“The president is now on TikTok,” UFC CEO Dana White says in the video’s first couple seconds.

Ari Emanuel tonight left no ambiguity of what he thinks about Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking at the Simon Wiesenthal Center’s National Tribute Gala, where he was awarded its Humanitarian Prize, the Endeavor CEO blasted the Israeli prime minister, saying, “The time for Bibi Netanyahu to go has come.”
“This is a painful and crucial moment for all of us who are Jews. It is not a time to stay silent,” Emanuel said to the packed Beverly Wilshire ballroom. Among the high-powered audience at the Beverly Hills hotel on Wednesday were Larry David, Amazon Prime Video boss Jennifer Salke and spouse Bert Salke, Jeffery and Marilyn Katzenberg, powerhouse attorney Patty Glaser and husband Sam, WME co-chairs Christian Muirhead and Richard Weitz, and producer Brian Grazer. As well, a number of Holocaust survivors and those who lived through the fatal terror of Hamas’ October 7 attack on Israeli border towns and army bases.
