Votes: 2,258,326 | Gross: $330.25M

One of the best movies of all time. Tom Hanks in the role of his lifetime. Like all the little details as years go by. Some of the special effects look a little outdated now, but that doesn't bother.

16. Troy (2004)

Votes: 88,158 | Gross: $48.20M

Even better than the first one. Yeah it recycles some jokes from the first movie, but not too much. And with all cameos and stuff, it's just a really fun movie.

20. Apocalypse Now (1979)

94 Metascore

A U.S. Army officer serving in Vietnam is tasked with assassinating a renegade Special Forces Colonel who sees himself as a god.

Director: Francis Ford Coppola | Stars: Martin Sheen, Marlon Brando, Robert Duvall, Frederic Forrest

Votes: 710,585 | Gross: $83.47M

Saw the Redux-version in theaters. I remember that about halfway through the movie I had the urge to go to the bathroom, but just couldn't leave my seat. The best Nam-flick out of the three greatest (this, FMJ and Platoon), in my opinion.

21. Platoon (1986)

A vampire tells his epic life story: love, betrayal, loneliness, and hunger.

Director: Neil Jordan | Stars: Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Antonio Banderas, Kirsten Dunst

Votes: 347,640 | Gross: $105.26M

First thing I knew about this movie was that Guns n' Roses did Sympathy for the Devil for it's soundtrack (I am/was a huge GN'R fan). I like this movie a lot, one of the best performances of Tom Cruise. Pitt is also good as always.

24. Batman (1989)

Director: Tim Burton | Stars: Michael Keaton, Danny DeVito, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken

Votes: 327,595 | Gross: $162.83M

Even darker than the first Burton Batman, but I like darkness. Not as great as the first one, but still probably the second best of all Batman films. De Vito's Penguin is even more evil than Joker was.

26. Batman Forever (1995)

PG-13 | 121 min | Action, Adventure

54 Metascore

Batman must battle former district attorney Harvey Dent, who is now Two-Face and Edward Nygma, The Riddler with help from an amorous psychologist and a young circus acrobat who becomes his sidekick, Robin.

Director: Joel Schumacher | Stars: Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman

Votes: 266,651 | Gross: $184.03M

Yeah, Schumacher pretty much ruined Batman with his movies. This one has it's moments thought and is still watchable and has some of the dark tones left that Burton had. Tommy Lee Jones' Two-Face is awful, but Carrey saves with being... himself.

27. Batman & Robin (1997)

PG-13 | 125 min | Action, Sci-Fi

29 Metascore

Batman and Robin try to keep their relationship together even as they must stop Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy from freezing Gotham City.

Director: Joel Schumacher | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell, Uma Thurman

Votes: 268,200 | Gross: $107.33M

I don't have to make any more jokes about this one, everyone already knows it sucks! But it's entertainingly bad with all those ice-puns of Arnold. The Nostalgia Critic's review is actually funnier and better than the actual movie!

28. Falling Down (1993)

R | 113 min | Action, Crime, Drama

56 Metascore

An ordinary man frustrated with the various flaws he sees in society begins to psychotically and violently lash out against them.

Director: Joel Schumacher | Stars: Michael Douglas, Robert Duvall, Barbara Hershey, Rachel Ticotin

Votes: 206,748 | Gross: $40.90M

I love this one! Even though it's pretty "slow" movie and pretty much nothing happens for the most part, Douglas is perfect in his D-Fens guy role that it saves the whole package.

29. Spaceballs (1987)

PG | 96 min | Adventure, Comedy, Sci-Fi

46 Metascore

A star-pilot for hire and his trusty sidekick must come to the rescue of a princess and save Planet Druidia from the clutches of the evil Spaceballs.

Director: Mel Brooks | Stars: Mel Brooks, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Bill Pullman

Votes: 206,630 | Gross: $38.12M

Has lost some of it's charm over the years, but still manages to entertain. And it's still the best Mel Brooks movie. And of the movies that I quote the most in real life.

Director: Christophe Gans | Stars: Radha Mitchell, Laurie Holden, Sean Bean, Deborah Kara Unger

Votes: 244,119 | Gross: $46.98M

Saw this one in theaters. The end could've been better, but for a movie based on videogame, it's pretty well done and actually good.

33. The Shining (1980)

R | 146 min | Drama, Horror

68 Metascore

A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where a sinister presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from both past and future.

Director: Stanley Kubrick | Stars: Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, Scatman Crothers

Votes: 1,107,280 | Gross: $44.02M

I was somewhere between 11 and 13 years old when I first saw this one. My favourite Kubrick film. The naked old lady in the shower scene still gives me the creeps. Nicholson is just amazing in this.

34. Jarhead (2005)

R | 125 min | Biography, Drama, War

62 Metascore

Director: Oliver Stone | Stars: Val Kilmer, Meg Ryan, Kyle MacLachlan, Frank Whaley

Votes: 99,100 | Gross: $35.18M

Val Kilmer is great as Morrison. This and Walk the Line are my favourites of this genre.

51 Metascore

Four teenage mutant ninja turtles emerge from the shadows to protect New York City from a gang of criminal ninjas.

Director: Steve Barron | Stars: Judith Hoag, Elias Koteas, Josh Pais, David Forman

Votes: 104,861 | Gross: $135.27M

Radical! I was sooooo hooked on Turtles as a kid. Actually, still am! This is defenitely the best live action treatment Turtles got.

40. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991)

PG | 88 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

45 Metascore

The Turtles discover their origins while they endeavour to save New York City from the evil Shredder and his Foot Clan.

Director: Michael Pressman | Stars: Paige Turco, David Warner, Michelan Sisti, Leif Tilden

Votes: 61,025 | Gross: $78.66M

I actually saw this way after I saw the first and the third movies. Probably a little too late, so I didn't find this as good as the other two. And at this age it has kinda slipped into the "so bad it's good" category. I mean, Vanilla Ice! And the lamest boss fight EVER!

41. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993)

PG | 96 min | Action, Adventure, Comedy

40 Metascore

When journalist April O'Neil discovers an ancient scepter with magical powers, the Turtles must cow-a-bunga their way back to 17th century Japan to rescue her from the evil clutches of Lord Norinaga.

Director: Stuart Gillard | Stars: Elias Koteas, Paige Turco, Stuart Wilson, Sab Shimono

Votes: 36,452 | Gross: $42.66M

To be honest I like this movie more than the second one. Probably because I saw this one as a kid and was so hardcore Turtles fan that I didn't care how bad it actually is. Well, of course now I can see all the flaws and whatnot, but it still has that nostalgic value that the second one doesn't.

42. Batman Begins (2005)

PG-13 | 140 min | Action, Crime, Drama

Director: Christopher Nolan | Stars: Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Ken Watanabe, Liam Neeson

Votes: 1,579,191 | Gross: $206.85M

It took some time before I decided to give this movie a chance. I was so into Burton's treatment and still shocked by Schumachers... versions, that I thought they just couldn't make any good Batman movies anymore. But this is actually pretty good. And it's pretty good idea to show the origins of Batman, which has never been that important in the previous movies.

43. The Dark Knight (2008)

When the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice.

Yeah yeah, everybody hails this movie and yeah yeah Ledger does amazing job as Joker yeah yeah... Well, this one is better than Begins and yes, Ledger is good, no, great, but I prefer Nicholson more. Damn good movie, though.

44. The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

PG-13 | 164 min | Action, Drama, Thriller

Eight years after the Joker's reign of chaos, Batman is coerced out of exile with the assistance of the mysterious Selina Kyle in order to defend Gotham City from the vicious guerrilla terrorist Bane.

Director: Christopher Nolan | Stars: Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman

Votes: 1,828,305 | Gross: $448.14M

Was pretty disappointed with this one. The villains aren't that interesting and for most part Batman does absolutely nothing. Movie drags on and on and is at times a pretty boring film. Still worth atleast one look, though.

45. REC (2007)

71 Metascore

A television reporter and cameraman follow emergency workers into a dark apartment building and are quickly locked inside with something terrifying.

Directors: Jaume Balagueró, Paco Plaza | Stars: Manuela Velasco, Ferran Terraza, Jorge-Yamam Serrano, Pablo Rosso

Votes: 196,786

This one came out of the blue, I probably bought the DVD on sale with just a couple of euros or something. But I liked it. Atmosphere is pretty authentic and scary.

46. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)

Votes: 375,263 | Gross: $75.08M

Tim Burton rules! The opening scene and song (This is Halloween) is just pure awesomeness. BTW, Marilyn Manson did a good cover of that song. And KoRn's version of Kidnap the Sandy Klaws is also pure awesomeness!

47. Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007)

R | 116 min | Drama, Horror, Musical

Votes: 387,009 | Gross: $52.90M

Pretty impressive and different film. The only musical I have seen on the big screen. Burton and Depp never let you down (well, atleast with the movies that I've seen...). Visually great, the songs are good, the atmosphere is pure Burton... Great movie!

48. Cry-Baby (1990)

Director: John Waters | Stars: Johnny Depp, Ricki Lake, Amy Locane, Susan Tyrrell

Directors: Albert Hughes, Allen Hughes | Stars: Johnny Depp, Heather Graham, Ian Holm, Robbie Coltrane

Votes: 164,251 | Gross: $31.60M

Without Depp this movie wouldn't be as good as it is. He carries the movie. Though the atmosphere is dark and the visuals are pretty good, but without Depp it wouldn't matter.

51. The Ninth Gate (1999)

R | 133 min | Mystery, Thriller

44 Metascore

A book broker discovers his latest find may summon Satan.

Director: Roman Polanski | Stars: Johnny Depp, Frank Langella, Lena Olin, Emmanuelle Seigner

Votes: 197,569 | Gross: $18.66M

Again, Depp is just awesome. Even though it's pretty standard performance, it's still better than most actors would've done.

52. Ed Wood (1994)

71 Metascore

Ambitious but troubled movie director Edward D. Wood Jr. tries his best to fulfill his dreams despite his lack of talent.

Director: Tim Burton | Stars: Johnny Depp, Martin Landau, Sarah Jessica Parker, Patricia Arquette

Votes: 184,013 | Gross: $5.89M

Depp is as good as always. As is Ricci. And Walken of course. The third act is not as good as the rest of the movie, but still pretty good flick.

The movie continuing where Firefly-series left off. The world of Firefly/Serenity is just brilliant and awesome. Whedon did good job. And Nathan Fillion is awesome as Malcom. And Summer Glau.... <3 I defenitely recommend this if you like scifi and action. Shame that the series or this movie didn't appeal to enough people, so the show never continued.

One of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. But when Peter "Brain Dead" Jackson directs a movie with puppets, you kinda know this is what you will get. Drugs, sex, music numbers, Vietnam flashbacks... Highly recommend it!

Director: Peter Hyams | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gabriel Byrne, Robin Tunney, Kevin Pollak

Votes: 116,748 | Gross: $66.89M

I think this was the first Arnold movie that I saw in theaters. Awesome soundtrack and Arnold himself are what makes this movie not suck as much. The plot is pretty dumb, but the atmosphere is fitting and it has some good action scenes.

Depp is again fantastic and the plot is pretty nice with some nice twists. Unfortunately when you know what the twist is (and it's something that you might figure out by yourself pretty quickly), the rewatching value plummets. Just like with Beautiful Mind.

Arnie!!!! Awesome movie. Stupid, but awesome! The wrestling with the bear in the park: pure awesomeness. The plot jumps around and is pretty stupid, the acting is terrible (not just Arnold, but everybody else too), you can see cars driving in the background when on Mount Olympus etc. Love this one, highly recommend it!

Pretty much a live action Warner Bros. cartoon. Cactus Jack tries to ambush Handsome Stranger with Acme stuff. This movie is so dumb that it's good!

Not as bad as everybody seem to think. Yes, the plot has some pretty big holes, but hey, it's all good fun and... well what did you espect from Arnold movie?!

87. Raw Deal (1986)

R | 106 min | Action, Crime, Thriller

44 Metascore

A former FBI agent turned small-town sheriff agrees to help the FBI chief infiltrate the Chicago mafia when the FBI chief's son is killed by them.

Director: John Irvin | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kathryn Harrold, Sam Wanamaker, Paul Shenar

Votes: 37,648 | Gross: $16.21M

I remember having this videotaped and then someone recorded something else over this, so the only thing left was the last big fight. So that's pretty much everything I remember about this movie! And it's pretty much the best thing about this movie, too. But it's nice to see Arnold in a little more realistic setting for a change and not always fighting with giant snakes with swords or aliens in the jungle.

88. Total Recall (1990)

R | 113 min | Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi

Votes: 354,724 | Gross: $119.39M

Some of the special effects are pretty outdated by now and the plot has some weird holes in it, but overall it's pretty well done and entertaining scifi action.

Director: John McTiernan | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Kevin Peter Hall, Elpidia Carrillo

Together with Terminators and Conans, Predator is the best thing Arnold has been envolved with.

61 Metascore

A tough cop must pose as a kindergarten teacher in order to locate a dangerous criminal's ex-wife, who may hold the key to putting him behind bars.

Director: Ivan Reitman | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Penelope Ann Miller, Pamela Reed, Linda Hunt

Votes: 162,763 | Gross: $91.46M

When I was younger I thought this was boring and didn't have enough action to be Arnold-movie. But now I like it. Besides Twins, this is probably the nearest thing to pure comedy (good one that is) that Arnold has ever done.

91. Conan the Destroyer (1984)

PG | 103 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy

53 Metascore

Conan leads a ragtag group of adventurers on a quest for a princess.

Director: Richard Fleischer | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Grace Jones, Olivia d'Abo, Wilt Chamberlain

Votes: 85,373 | Gross: $31.04M

As a kid I just loved this movie. Me and my brother would react the whole thing together when we were playing. Being the smaller and weaker, I was of course always Conan. Now I think Barbarian is by far better movie than Destroyer, but it's still entertaining fantasy adventure. But for some reason I haven't got my hands to the uncut version of the movie I remember seeing as a 5-year old kid. [SPOLER ALERT] You know, when Conan rescues Akiro and cuts someones head off, the head was spinning in slow motion through the air. And when the final monster impales the evil queen, the camera showed you the horn coming through the back of the queen. But my version has those things cut. Pretty much every version I have seen since the one that was taped from TV when I was a little kid.

92. Red Sonja (1985)

PG-13 | 89 min | Action, Adventure, Fantasy

35 Metascore

Director: Richard Fleischer | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Brigitte Nielsen, Sandahl Bergman, Paul L. Smith

Votes: 44,901 | Gross: $6.95M

As a kid this was entertaining. Well, it still is, but for totally different reasons. The plot is stupid and acting is terrible (Nielsen as Red Sonja is just awful!). So bad it's borderline good.

93. Commando (1985)

R | 90 min | Action, Adventure, Thriller

Director: Brett Ratner | Stars: Anthony Hopkins, Edward Norton, Ralph Fiennes, Harvey Keitel

Director: Andrew Davis | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Leguizamo, Francesca Neri, Elias Koteas

Votes: 77,991 | Gross: $40.08M

Pretty average Schwarzenegger-film. Plot has potential to be quite different than your everyday action movie, but doesn't have enough courage to go there.

100. The 6th Day (2000)

PG-13 | 123 min | Action, Mystery, Sci-Fi

49 Metascore

A man meets a clone of himself and stumbles into a grand conspiracy about clones taking over the world.

Director: Roger Spottiswoode | Stars: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael Rapaport, Tony Goldwyn, Michael Rooker

Votes: 127,961 | Gross: $34.60M

Has some nice ideas and good premise for the plot, but doesn't take enough risks and becomes just your basic Arnold action movie. Good entertainment still.
